In space, as the veil of reality was torn apart, dozens of spaceships of varying sizes arrived in the Mar-Sala system.

These warships are not standard strategic cruisers like those of the Federation, but rather modified from various types of space warships.

Leading the fleet was a modified Leviathan-class strategic cruiser, whose heavy armor and numerous firepower upgrades made it comparable to the Norard II.

Their only similarity was that the warships were painted in red and black and had a uniform emblem—a thick arm holding a whip with the whip wrapped around the arm in thick lines.

Clearly, they are the fleet of the Sons of Khar.

As the fleet anchored, a communication request was sent to Norard II, and then several transport ships took off from the Sons of Korhal's fleet and arrived at Norard II.

The command room door opened again, and a team of Marines walked in, their red paint and the insignia of the Sons of Korhal still painted on their shoulder armor.

Judging from their specially made power armor, they are not ordinary soldiers filling the front lines, but elite veterans who have been through countless battles.

Surrounding the Marines was a middle-aged man, tall and imposing, with a stern face and short, dark hair. He had high cheekbones, a strong jawline, deep and sharp eyes, and a short, neatly trimmed gray-black beard.

Upon closer inspection, one could see fine wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, traces of long-term scheming and political maneuvering. He wore a sturdy outfit without any superfluous adornments, and even without his power armor, his aura still overwhelmed his guards.

"Actuals Mengsk," Renault said softly, looking at the man in the middle.

It turned out that the visitor was none other than the leader of the Sons of Khar, the supreme leader of the rebels, and the traitor described by the federal government as a vicious and ruthless villain. He arrived at the command center of Norard II with only a small number of soldiers.

Renault recognized Mengsk not because he had met him before or had any connection with him, but because, thanks to the Federation's propaganda machine, almost everyone recognized Mengsk's face.

"I heard someone drove away that old fox Duke and seized Norard II," Mengsk spoke first. "So, I've come. I'm here to see for myself what kind of person could accomplish such a feat."

Mengsk's gaze swept over the crowd, lingering only on Loken and the others for a moment before focusing all his attention on Elpis, who was separated from him by a war conference table. Elpis, who was over three meters tall and wore golden armor, was the center of attention wherever he went.

Elpis was also observing Mengsk, the renowned figure in the interstellar universe and the future leader of the Terran Empire. At this moment, Mengsk's eyes were filled with revolutionary passion and burning with the fury of revenge.

Of course, in Elpis's view, Mengsk's soul harbored human supremacist ideas, and most importantly, he also harbored a latent desire for power.

Mengsk's lust for power is very similar to that of the high lords of Terra.

"Actuals Mengsk," Elpiston said after a pause, "what brings you here?"

"We can cooperate." Mengsk's voice was still authoritative, but there was a hint of caution in his words.

Silence fell upon Elpis, who remained silent, scrutinizing the mortals before him through his crimson goggles. Though he made no move, everyone else present felt an immense pressure, as if they were subordinates facing a superior.

Mengsk was under immense pressure. He had considered all possibilities, but he never expected that someone could completely overwhelm him with their presence.

His right hand changed from a palm to a fist, clenched tightly, and began to tremble slightly; his previously steady breathing became rapid. But he persisted, his pride in his nobility and his thirst for power compelling him to be tough and not back down.

"Tell me," Elpis's voice rang out again.

For a moment, Mengsk felt as if his breath had stopped, but the immense pressure began to dissipate after Elpis finished speaking.

When he looked at the golden-armored giant in front of him again, he could only feel endless majesty, which inspired awe and conviction.

"We have successfully rescued all the survivors on Mar-Sara, and according to calculations, Mar-Sara is about to be overrun by the Zerg." Mengsk took a deep breath and revealed the information he knew.

"The Federation is ready to abandon this planet, and so are the Sons of Korhal, but before I leave, there is one last thing I want to accomplish."

"According to my intelligence, there's also a Federation experimental base hidden on this planet," Mengsk continued. "It contains weapon blueprints and other valuables stored in its systems. And in the current chaotic situation, infiltrating and leaving that facility shouldn't be too difficult."

With consent, Mengsk ordered his men to share intelligence on the war conference table in front of him. A huge holographic projection of the planet immediately appeared above the table, and a marked red dot appeared on the planet. Then, a lot of information was marked on it.

"My men are currently fighting the Federation in other regions," Mengsk said, manipulating the hologram to project more information onto the conference table. "So, I hope you can send people to infiltrate this experimental base and bring everything back."

"Two points," Elpis said after a moment's thought. "I need a copy of all the data obtained in the lab. Secondly, I need you to provide me with Ghost Gold, or other similar materials."

“I agree with the first point,” Mengsk nodded and continued, “As for psionic gold, we don’t have any at the moment. All these psionic materials are controlled by the Federation. I can only provide you with silicon ore and some other special ores.”

"Okay, I accept this collaboration." Elpis nodded, accepting Mengsk's proposal.

"Then I will await your good news."

After transmitting all the information to Elpis, Mengsk led his men back to his fleet.

"This Mengsk is honest enough," Renault said from the side, "but I don't know what he's after in the experimental base."

"It's alright, just bring everything back, and we can check it out later." Elpis made his decision. "Loken, you take Leon and Chris to this lab and bring everything back."

"Yes, sir."

"Renault and Lucar," Elpis continued, "it seems we'll need you two to act as guides."

The three Astartes were certainly capable of completing the mission, but Elpis ultimately decided to have Reno and Rugal go along, since they were more familiar with the technology in the experimental base than Loken and were better able to find valuable things in the experimental base's network.

"No problem, leave it to me," Renault assured him, patting his chest.
