Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

In early August, the Portuguese government announced some amendments to its tax law.

This is a routine change, with very few regulations being altered, and it has little to do with ordinary people, so it hasn't had a significant impact on society.

Tax laws are often amended because someone has exploited a loophole. Once the authorities discover this, they release a patch to fix the loophole.

Those who exploit loopholes are often subject to additional punishment.

This time, the person in charge of the Portuguese government's tax law reform was a wealthy Portuguese businessman.

This has nothing to do with football.

But... this boss is also one of the executives of Sporting Lisbon, a Portuguese league team.

Sporting Lisbon's performance over the past few years has been disappointing, and the fans have long been dissatisfied. They've waited for years, and finally, the day has come for a new election for the club's president.

As a wealthy man with ideals, a passion for football, and plenty of money, this boss just announced his candidacy for president of Sporting Lisbon a month ago.

As a result, he was imprisoned in the blink of an eye.

It just goes to show that the world of international football is quite complex.

In fact, as long as you have money, tax issues won't be a big problem.

This wealthy man should be out in a few months at most.

The problem lies in the timing.

This tycoon will undoubtedly miss the election.

And he... is precisely the powerful backer behind Trigra!

The president of Sporting Lisbon was successfully re-elected.

He ignored the highly popular Triglav and instead invited veteran coach Augusto Innasio to be the team's new head coach.

Immediately, complaints arose from all sides.

But it's not over yet.

Two days later, Augusto, who had just joined the team, said in an interview that the team's roster was too old and too young, and there hadn't been any signings in the past two years, so it was normal for the team's performance to be poor.

To achieve good results, Sporting Lisbon needs to bring in enough outstanding players.

He provided the club with a list of players whose total value exceeded 30 million euros.

Among them, Porto's star striker, Jardel, who has won the Portuguese league's Golden Boot three times, is his key signing, with a transfer fee exceeding 15 million euros.

This price is definitely not expensive for Jardel; with him, any team could dominate the Portuguese league.

But then again, is the Portuguese league title really worth only 15 million euros?

This is not the English Premier League, not Serie A, not La Liga, not Bundesliga, not Ligue 1.

This is just the Portuguese league.

In the past two years, the strongest players from the second division have gone to Serie A, and no matter how old they are, they are all called "rookies".

A rookie player worth 15 million euros means that this player is considered to have the potential of Ronaldo and Zidane.

Does Jardel... deserve it?

Triguera immediately spoke out to stop it: "Sporting Lisbon has its own system. Although we haven't won the title in the past, our overall performance is not far from that of the champion team."

"What the team needs is a high-level coach, not just a constant stream of star players."

"Sporting Lisbon has no shortage of star players. From Figo to Simão, Quaresma is the next superstar. He has the ability to lead the team further."

In a media interview, Augusto appeared to be responding to Triguera's comments: "The team has brought in a high-level coach, but the team still lacks the corresponding players."

"Doesn't a team that repeatedly makes rookies its star players just prove that the other players aren't good enough?"

"Could Juventus have reached the Champions League final without buying Zidane?"

"How can Inter Milan talk about a revival without buying Ronaldo?"

"How can Sporting Lisbon win the Portuguese league title without buying Jardel? I'm here with only one goal: to transform Sporting Lisbon into the Juventus of the Portuguese league! The Inter Milan of the Portuguese league!"

Juventus, the team with the most Serie A titles.

Inter Milan is the team that spent the most and had the most superstars in this summer's transfer window.

How can fans resist such a slogan?

For a moment, the wind shifted in Augusto's favor.

Augusto is the team's head coach.

Trigla is the team's lead assistant coach.

If the two disagree, it is obviously difficult for them to coexist.

A few days later, Sporting Lisbon officially announced that they had brought Jardel from Porto for 17 million euros and offered him the highest salary in the Portuguese league.

While welcoming Jardel's arrival, Augusto hinted in an interview that he felt he was being constrained too much and that the team needed more autonomy to revitalize itself.

The very next day, Triglav received a call from the team asking him to coach the youth team.

Trigra was so angry he nearly vomited blood, and was forced to choose the U17 team.

Because Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo are on this team.

The team's original youth coach, Maksa, was promoted to the first team's assistant coaching staff.

It is understood that Augusto values Maxić highly, believing that Maxić is a truly talented technical coach and that he needs such talent to help him improve the team's tactics.

This reflects the tactical shortcomings of traditional coaches like Augusto.

However, it is the best to admit one's mistakes and correct them.

My tactical skills aren't good enough, but I can just find someone who is, right?

In response, Maxa said... he really had enough!

Maksa left with tears in his eyes.

Because he knew that his coaching myth was about to be shattered.

Kai, how can I live without you!

Please, Kai, let me stay!

Hey, I can be Trigla's teaching assistant!

It must be said that Trigra was initially somewhat dissatisfied with Maxa's "promotion".

He suspected that Maxa and Augusto were in cahoots and that Maxa had gone to curry favor with them again.

But Maksa's tears made Trigra feel a little guilty.

Xiao Ma's deep affection and loyalty are something that cannot be faked; these tears and sorrow are absolutely genuine.

I actually suspected that Little Ma had another horse outside; I'm simply inhuman!

Trigra therefore spoke with Maxa for a while, encouraging him to work hard in his new environment, utilize his abilities, and strive to shine.

Maksa cried even harder.

If I really had the ability, I'd cry my heart out!

……

Thus, Sporting Lisbon U17, under the coaching of Triguera, entered the pre-season training phase.

Triguera has called up some young players from the U15 team.

This includes players such as Deng Kai, Cristiano Ronaldo, Angelo, Semedo, Duarte, and Wu Xudong.

The day before the training camp began, Triguera even invited Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo to his home.

During this time, Trigra revealed a big secret.

Several teams have invited me to coach them!

Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo were invigorated.

"However, I did not agree." Triguera changed the subject. "Jardel is not suitable for Sporting Lisbon's style of play. We have always been good at developing wingers, and the rise of wingers requires the center forward to give up a lot of authority."

"At the same time, the center forward also needs to stretch the defense for the wingers, drop back to receive passes, and act as a pivot, etc."

"Although Jardel is tall and imposing, his technique is rough, he is lazy in running, and he does not act as a pivot. He is a shooting machine."

"Sporting LPGA's transfer spree will end in failure! I bet Augusto will be sacked in the winter transfer window!"

Deng Kai understood what Trigra meant.

After the winter transfer window, he is very likely to become the head coach of Sporting Lisbon's first team!

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
