Ground football: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him

Even without his powerful connections, Triguera's many years of dedication to Sporting Lisbon are undeniable.

After Augustus was ousted, Trigra could at least serve as a temporary interim coach for a while.

It's only a matter of time before he returns to the first team.

This time, I'll just take the U17 team out to relax.

While we're at it, let's nurture Deng Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo, and reminisce about the early days of developing talented players.

Aren't all high-ranking officials in ancient times who retired to their hometowns like this?

Retreating is for a better return.

At that point, Sporting Lisbon's management will have to use a sedan chair carried by eight men to bring Trigue back.

"Then we must congratulate you in advance!" Deng Kai downed a glass of honey water without saying a word. "I'll finish mine, you can have whatever you like. But to be honest, the U17 matches probably don't mean much to me and Ronaldo anymore."

Cristiano Ronaldo agreed, saying, "Yeah, Kai is already 1.65 meters tall, only half a head shorter than me."

Cristiano Ronaldo has also grown taller, approaching 1.8 meters.

With that kind of physical condition, he could even play in the U19 team.

Trigla asked, "What? You want to play in the U19? Then I'll transfer you to the U19. But initially I thought the U17 would be less physically demanding for you. You're at a stage where you're developing your skills, and it wouldn't be worth it if you were bedridden for a long time due to injuries."

"For you guys, U17 and U19 are actually pretty much the same, so I'll choose the safer option."

Deng Kai nodded quickly: "I think U17 is fine. If we really consider Ronaldo's ability, he could play in U21 too, but there's no need to increase the intensity so much all at once."

Trigra looked at Deng Kai's darting eyes and smiled, "But?"

Encouraged, Deng Kai boldly spoke up: "But there is absolutely no innovation; it's just following the old path from last season, which is not conducive to the future adaptability of youth training players."

"Real Madrid's youth academy graduates can succeed anywhere, but Barcelona's youth academy graduates from La Masia are no longer as good. That's the point."

"I want to learn more about playing style from you, such as passing and possession, passing and possession, and so on."

Trigra took a sip of red wine: "You actually gave me three choices. Should I thank you for your generosity?"

Deng Kai quickly filled the cup for the veteran: "No need for that, but it would be even better if we could put some players who aren't that strong into our lineup, making it more difficult for me and Ronaldo to lead the team."

"So even though we're playing U17, the difficulty is actually no less than playing U19."

Trigla rolled his eyes: "You're quite insightful, aren't you? Younger players probably can't understand your level of thinking. Focus on your own progress and development, and don't compare yourself to others."

After saying that, Triguera glanced at Ronaldo.

Because Cristiano Ronaldo and Duncan are two different extremes.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the kind of player who is very focused on comparing himself to others. This competitive spirit can help him quickly reach the ceiling in an environment, but it also prevents him from breaking through the constraints of that environment. When he lacks stronger opponents, he loses the possibility of becoming stronger.

Deng Kai is moving forward step by step according to his own plan, and his growth will not be greatly affected by his environment.

Therefore, playing in the U17 team provides Deng Kai with the same training as playing in the U19 or U21 teams.

But for Cristiano Ronaldo, it somewhat hindered his development.

Deng Kai is not a selfish child.

Why did he do that?

Is he worried about Ronaldo getting injured while he's still developing? Does he want to wait until Ronaldo's body, bones, and muscles are fully formed before quickly skipping the U17, U19, U21, and reserve teams?

Trigra almost guessed the truth.

Everyone enjoyed the dinner.

After dinner, Triguera did not invite Ronaldo and Duncan to stay and watch TV at his home. He said he had some work to do and politely saw them off.

Cristiano Ronaldo sounded a bit disgruntled on the way: "Coach Trigue's TV is huge! A 36-inch super screen! I was thinking of taking this opportunity to watch Tokyo Mew Mew!"

Deng Kai looked completely bewildered: "Don't you like watching Sailor Moon?"

Cristiano Ronaldo: "I've finished watching... Sigh, what a pity. Do you think Coach Triguera was trying to save on the electricity bill, so he kicked us out? What kind of work could he possibly do now? He's retired from the first team."

Deng Kai was speechless: "I thought a guy like you would prefer watching Evangelion... As for the electricity bill, Trump can afford it; he does have work to do."

Moreover... it was arranged for him by Deng Kai just now.

Because Deng Kai had just shared some "basic" ideas about team building with Trigla.

Trigra never treated Deng Kai like a child, so he keenly grasped the deeper meaning behind it.

As soon as the two left, Triguera dialed the phone of Sporting Lisbon U15 team coach: "Hello, it's me... Tomorrow, have your team's Yu Shihao, Shao Jiawei, and Hao Junmin report to the U17 team... I know their abilities, you don't need to worry about that..."

……

the next day.

Alcochet Base.

When Yu Shihao and his two companions arrived at the U17 training ground, they were still somewhat incredulous.

It's worth noting that even among Sporting Lisbon's U15 team, which won the double last year, only the top performers were promoted to the U17 level.

What right do the three of them have?

"You've arrived." Triglar appeared first, while the other young players were still in the locker room. "I'm the kind of person who likes to be straightforward."

"I know how to develop young players."

"I brought you to this team because I recognize your talent; you have the potential to become professional players."

"But to be honest, you still have some shortcomings in tactics and basic skills, which you should have honed in the U15 team."

"However... Deng Kai mentioned you to me, and he believes you will be able to adapt to the pace of U17 very quickly."

"And I believe that under Deng Kai's leadership, you will deliver a performance worthy of this level of competition."

Triguera practically made it clear why these three players were able to come here.

Deng Kai.

As Chinese children, how could Yu Shihao and his two companions not understand social etiquette?

Kai is awesome!

Kai is awesome!

Then, the main force appeared.

Most people did not react to the addition of the three.

No one can deny Deng Kai's success last season.

Especially in the European U-16 Championship, C played the entire match and even overshadowed Viana and Meireles, though slightly less so than Quaresma.

Where is Quaresma playing this season?

First team!

Deng Kai's success has given the club confidence in players of Asian descent, or more precisely, Chinese players.

Yu Shihao and his two companions were the club's first foray into the Chinese market.

But whether it works or not, we'll have to see how they perform on the field.

Judging from the first day of training.

Deng Kai was just an accident.

Including Wu Xudong, the basic skills of the four Chinese players were clearly inferior to those of the other players.

However, they also demonstrated unique abilities in certain areas.

I like playing football on the ground: Ronaldo thought I was going to assist him.
