Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 248 The Sleeping Celine and Sophie

Before Wayne could speak, Emma interrupted him.

"Audrian!"

She moved closer to Vera, her eyes lighting up as if she had been asked something that excited her.

"Audrian is very big, very big!"

She spread her arms out to demonstrate, then, feeling it wasn't enough, pulled them to the sides, almost hitting Ella next to her.

"It's so many, many times bigger than Frost Town!"

Ella stepped aside, not interrupting her sister.

Emma continued:

"My sister and I were bought by our owner there."

Vera was taken aback.

"Bought it..."

"Um!"

Emma nodded, her tone unreserved, as if she were talking about something very ordinary: "The slave market, it's in the south of the city. The master bought us when he passed by."

She spoke casually, but Vera fell silent for a moment.

Emma, completely oblivious to the seriousness of the topic, continued enthusiastically:

"Audrian has so many streets, countless more than Frostbite. There's a market, a blacksmith's street, tailor shops, and a huge square, two or three times bigger than the one in Frostbite!"

She gestured as she spoke, getting more and more excited as she went on.

"And besides, my sister and I have our own room in Audrey!"

Vera blinked.

"Your own room?"

"Yes!"

Emma nodded proudly.

"It's in a small building behind the church, on the first floor, with south-facing windows, so the sunlight is especially good during the day. The host arranged it for us."

She turned her head and tugged at Ella's sleeve.

"Sister, don't you think so?"

Ella nodded slightly.

"Um."

"The bed is soft, and the blanket is thick."

After Emma finished speaking, she added:

"But later, our master was transferred to Frost Town, and we went with him. That room should still be empty now..."

There was a hint of nostalgia in her voice, but it was quickly overshadowed by new expectations.

"I wonder how that room is now, whether the blankets are moldy..."

Vera listened, a hint of longing in her eyes.

She had never been to a city.

Blackrock Village was where she was born and raised, and Frosttown was the largest "town" she had ever seen. Now, listening to Emma's description, she pieced together a vague picture in her mind. However, she still couldn't imagine what it felt like.

Wayne turned his head and glanced at Vera.

"When we get there, the two sisters will show you around."

Vera's eyes lit up.

"Really?"

"Um."

"That's wonderful, sir!"

Her voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement.

For her, this was probably the first time in her life she had the opportunity to visit a real city.

Emma patted her chest beside her.

"Leave it to me! I know which bakery in Audrey makes the best scones!"

Ella chuckled softly, then, as if remembering something, turned to look at Wayne.

"By the way, Master."

"Um?"

"Your cousin, Miss Vivian, was looking for you."

Wayne paused for a moment.

"What did she say?"

She said...you must have a lot of questions you want to ask her.

Wayne was silent for two seconds.

He did have many questions for her, especially about the Millennium Purple Sun. Since her return, they hadn't had a proper conversation. Their discussions were mostly limited to physics.

Since Hena mentioned it, it's necessary to go and check it out.

Wayne looked at Ella.

"Do you know which carriage she's in?"

Ella nodded.

"She's in the second carriage ahead of us. She's in one with Lady Celine, Miss Sophie, and Aya."

Emma peeked over from the side.

"Master, if you're going to leave, could you temporarily bring Aya here? I think she'd like to talk to me too."

Wayne glanced at Emma.

"no problem."

He turned around, lifted the carriage curtain, and called out to Thomason, who was driving the carriage outside:

"Thomasson, catch up with Lady Celine's carriage ahead."

It's a bit noisy outside.

The sounds of wheels, wind, and the noise of several carriages around him blended together, drowning out most of his voice.

Thomason didn't hear clearly.

"Sir, what did you say?"

Wayne raised his voice.

"Thomasson, catch up with Lady Celine's carriage!"

"Okay! Alright!"

The carriage sped up.

About ten minutes later, the two carriages stopped side by side. Wayne jumped out of the carriage, walked to the door of the first carriage, and knocked.

The door opened from the inside.

Hena's face was revealed.

Wayne glanced into the carriage—Cerine was leaning against the left, Sophie against the right, both with their eyes closed, breathing steadily, fast asleep. Aya sat next to Cerine, holding a wooden sword, her eyelids also drooping.

Wayne lowered his voice:

"Aya, come here, let's switch cars."

Aya groggily raised her head, saw that it was Wayne, nodded, and quietly got out of the car while holding the wooden sword. Then, still half asleep, she got into Emma's car.

Wayne got into the carriage and closed the door behind him.

He sat down opposite Celine and Sophie.

The carriage was very quiet.

Celine and Sophie sat side by side, breathing evenly, their cheeks flushed slightly, and a faint smile playing on their lips. They looked as if they were having a sweet dream.

Wayne looked away.

He glanced at Hena.

"Did you do this?"

Hena leaned against the carriage wall, remaining noncommittal.

"Yes. They're too tired, I'll help them relax a bit."

The panel then appeared.

[Cerine Sophie - Current Status]

[Status: Deep sleep, in a dream created by Hena.]

[Dream content: The mother and daughter each expressed gratitude to their respective goddesses.]

[Note: The two are very happy at this moment.]

[Note 2: The main reason for their happiness is not just their gratitude to the goddess, but more importantly, the fact that you appeared in their dreams.]

[P.S.: Hena won't tell you that Sophie called out "Brother Wayne" in her dream.]

[Also: Sophie is thinking, it would be even better if you were her brother. A brother, that would be perfect. Of course, Ace is currently out of the question.]

Wayne looked at the panel and fell silent.

He originally thought Sophie had completely changed her ways. After all, after what happened with Ace, the girl had been well-behaved for a while, and when they met, she would respectfully call him "Your Excellency the Bishop," her eyes wouldn't wander, and she wouldn't say much.

Unexpectedly, the "condition" worsened.

Although he hadn't had any real relationship with these two people, to be honest, he was still quite curious about what their dreams were about.

Of course, he was just thinking about it.

Hena noticed Wayne's gaze.

"What? My dear Mr. Wayne, you also want to go into their dreams and take a look? Their dreams are quite fascinating."

Wayne didn't respond to that question, but instead looked her up and down, a slight twitch at the corner of his mouth.

"You defeated bastard, yet you dare to speak recklessly."

Hena's face flushed red instantly: "I didn't fail! I... I wasn't prepared!"

Wayne burst out laughing.

Hena bit her lip and reached out to pinch his waist.

"You're still laughing!"

Wayne immediately stopped laughing and raised his hands in a gesture of surrender: "Okay, okay, I won't laugh at you anymore."

He lowered his hand, and his gaze became serious.

"Now let's get down to business."
