Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 308 Alice's Shopping Invitation

Soon, Wayne took Emily home.

In the center of the Marquis's courtyard, Alice was sitting on the veranda, flipping through a book. She heard footsteps, looked up, and her gaze first fell on Wayne, then moved to the figure in a gray cloak behind him.

She didn't speak immediately. She closed the book, stood up, her gaze lingering on Emily for a moment before turning to Wayne with her usual obedient smile: "Brother, who is this?"

Wayne stepped aside to make way for Emily: "My friend, Emily. She'll be staying at the house for a while."

The word "friend" reached Alice's ears, and her smile remained unchanged, but Wayne noticed that her fingers gripping the spine of the book tightened slightly.

Emily removed the hood of her cloak, revealing long purple hair and matching purple eyes. Her face was small and delicate, and combined with her petite figure, she looked like a porcelain doll.

Emily nodded slightly to Alice and greeted her politely, "Hello, Miss Alice. Excuse me."

Alice nodded, her voice gentle: "Of course, my brother's friends are my guests. Miss Emily, stay as long as you like."

Alice was secretly observing the purple-haired, purple-eyed girl before her: she looked like a doll, petite and delicate, and didn't seem aggressive at all. So this was the type her brother liked. However, she'd have to increase the dosage for the next few days.

Wayne didn't know exactly what his sister was planning, but from her slightly clenched fingers and overly sweet smile, he could roughly guess some of it.

Just then, a figure rushed out of the living room, rushed towards her with a gust of wind, and grabbed her arm.

"Sister Emily! What brings you here!"

Emma tilted her head back, her face beaming with surprise, her eyes practically sparkling. She shook Emily's arm vigorously, her voice filled with excitement as if she had found a priceless treasure: "I haven't seen you in so, so, so long! What brings you to the capital? Did you come here specifically to see us?"

Emily was shaken so badly she almost lost her balance. She reached out and held onto Emma's shoulder, smiling as she replied, "I missed you, so I came."

At the same time, Ella slowly walked over from behind.

She greeted him politely.

"It's nice to see you again, Sister Emily."

Emily smiled and nodded.

In truth, she couldn't help but think to herself: Emma, Ella and Emma are so different. Before she knew it, Ella had really become an adult, while Emma was still a little kid.

Wayne reached out and took Emma off Emily.

"Alright, stop bothering your sister Emily. She must be tired from her journey; let her rest first."

Although Emma was a little reluctant, she let go of Emily's hand and waved to her from the side, saying, "Then, Emily, you should rest well first. We'll talk again when you're not tired!"

Emily smiled and nodded at her.

Wayne turned to the servant waiting beside him: "Take Miss Emily to the side building and arrange a clean guest room for her. The three who arrived yesterday are also staying there; let them get to know each other."

The servant quickly bowed and said, "Yes, young master."

Emily followed the servant and turned to walk towards the side building. After taking two steps, she looked back at Wayne, her eyes filled with a tacit understanding that only the two of them could read. Then she looked away and quickly followed the servant.

Ella then took Emma's wrist and gave a slight bow to Wayne and Alice: "Then, Master, Miss, we won't disturb you any longer."

After saying that, he pulled Emma into the house.

Emma was pulled along a few steps by her, then turned back and called out to Wayne, "Master! Remember to call me for lunch later!"

"understood."

The courtyard fell silent again, leaving only Wayne and Alice. The wind chimes under the eaves tinkled softly in the breeze.

Alice stood on the veranda, her hands clasped in front of her, her gaze still fixed on the direction Emily had disappeared in. Then she turned to Wayne, her voice tinged with curiosity, "Brother, they were all witches, weren't they?"

Wayne was slightly surprised.

He turned his head to look at Alice, his eyes filled with curiosity: "How did you know?"

Alice stuck out her tongue and made a playful expression: "My magical perception is a little more sensitive than the average person's. The magical fluctuations of the girls my brother brought back were much stronger than ordinary people's, and their auras were also quite different. Being able to sense them is my talent."

Wayne didn't deny it, he just nodded.

"Yes. They really are."

Wayne didn't want his sister to get too involved.

He glanced around the courtyard and changed the subject.

Where is Father?

"He went to the palace. He left early in the morning, saying he had some urgent business to attend to, and didn't even have time for breakfast."

When Alice saw that her brother had changed the subject, she didn't ask any more questions, since she had plenty of time to find out.

Just then, Alice seemed to suddenly remember something, and her tone became noticeably excited: "Oh, right, brother, I have something to tell you!"

"What is it?"

"Aya's kendo talent is amazing!"

Alice's eyes lit up, and her tone was filled with the excitement of discovering a treasure.

"I had nothing to do this morning, so I went to the backyard to watch her practice sword. She was practicing a basic sword routine, but the more I watched, the more something seemed off. The control she had over the sword, the fluidity between her movements—it was something a child who had only been learning swordsmanship for a short time couldn't possibly display. Her talent is the best I've ever seen, bar none."

Wayne followed her gaze and looked into the distance.

Aya was standing in the open space in the backyard, gripping the wooden sword, repeating the same horizontal slashing motion over and over again. Her movements were focused, her eyes serious, and even their conversation under the porch did not distract her.

Wayne withdrew his gaze: "It is precisely because of her talent that I brought her to the capital. Only in the capital can her talent be better developed."

Alice nodded, then took a half step forward, her voice filled with barely suppressed excitement.

"Brother, I have a suggestion!"

"Hmm? You go ahead."

"My best friend, Nicole, her grandfather is a renowned sixth-tier swordsman in the capital. If we could introduce Aya to Nicole's grandfather and let her learn from that swordsman, her progress would definitely be much faster than it is now!"

Wayne's eyes lit up slightly.

A sixth-tier swordsman.

There are very few sword instructors of this caliber in the entire capital. If Aya could become a disciple of a sixth-rank sword saint, her path in swordsmanship would indeed be much smoother.

"Nicole's grandfather...would he be willing to take on an apprentice?"

Alice patted her chest, full of confidence.

"Leave it to me! Nicole and I are very close. If I just mention it to her and have her sweet-talk her grandfather, it'll probably work out. Besides, Nicole's grandfather is a big fan of talented young people. He'll most likely like someone like Aya."

After hearing Alice's assurance, Wayne nodded.

"Then I'll have to trouble you."

"Don't worry, I've got your back!"

After making her promise, Alice's gaze fell on Wayne's face, her tone tinged with a mixture of probing and expectation: "Brother, are you busy this afternoon?"

Wayne thought for a moment.

"There are no special plans for this afternoon. What's up?"

Alice's eyes lit up.

"Well... it's been a long time since we went out together. The weather's so nice today, how about we, brother and sister, go for a walk by ourselves? Just the two of us."

After she finished speaking, she quickly added another sentence.

"It won't take you too long. We'll just take a stroll around the central urban area of the capital and be back before evening."

Wayne looked into Alice's expectant eyes, remained silent for a moment, and then nodded: "Okay."
