Wayne had just left the yard.

A steward in gray trotted up to him and bowed slightly: "Eighth Young Master, Third Miss requests your presence at her courtyard."

Wayne paused in his steps.

Celia?

He had originally planned to go directly to the old church in the west of the city for the appointment, but now that he had been stopped halfway, he was not in a hurry.

"Lead the way."

The steward led him around the main hall, through a connecting corridor, and into the west courtyard. The courtyard was small, but it was very clean, with a few dwarf osmanthus trees planted in the corners of the walls, and the stone path was swept clean of fallen leaves.

Celia sat on the soft couch in the porch, a handful of melon seeds in her hand. When she saw Wayne come in, she put down the seeds and pointed to the chair next to her: "Sit."

Wayne sat down and waited for her to speak.

Celia didn't rush to speak, but first looked him up and down: "Your big-breasted maid isn't with you today?"

Wayne didn't respond to her comment.

"What do you want from me?"

Celia was taken aback by his bluntness, tossed the fan she was holding onto the table, and leaned forward slightly: "You know about that summoning circle I used last time, right?"

"I know, it's the one on your desk."

"I tried three times, and each time it broke at the last step, as if something was missing, but I couldn't find what was wrong even after flipping through the whole book." She paused, her gaze sweeping over Wayne's face. "You're probably the most studious person in the manor, so I'm thinking you should know some other ways."

Wayne did not answer immediately.

To help or not to help?

His mind worked quickly. Celia was currently unaware of her true identity; she believed she was summoning demons, but in reality, she was attempting to awaken her forgotten powers. Helping her complete the summoning circle might accelerate her memory recovery, and it was uncertain whether she would become friend or foe then.

But there are also advantages.

If he can figure out her background in the process, and even gain a better understanding of the city, then this card can be used.

Did you bring that book?

Celia's eyes lit up, and she turned around to pull out a yellowed old book from under the cushions of the soft couch. The cover was covered with several circles of twisted runes.

Wayne took the yellowed old book, flipped through a few pages at random, and found that the runes and incantations were copied quite neatly.

The book's contents are correct; the summoning circle's structure is accurate, the runes are drawn correctly, and even the magic channeling path is clearly marked. Following the steps in this book, theoretically, one should be able to summon something.

Unfortunately, Celia was summoning herself.

Wayne mentally reviewed the structure of the formation.

He wasn't an expert in demon summoning, but he had looked through similar manuscripts and the basic principles were the same. Perhaps by changing the operator and the method of initiation, the ritual could truly be revived.

"Okay, I'll help you."

Celia paused for a moment, then her eyes lit up.

"real?"

"real."

Wayne walked to the table, took a charcoal pencil from the pen holder, and began to draw a summoning circle on the ground.

Celia leaned over the edge of the table, tilting her head to look at him.

After watching for a while, she suddenly realized...

My eighth brother is quite handsome.

Wayne was so focused on his drawing that he didn't notice Cecily staring at him. Soon, he drew the final arc on the ground, and the array was successfully completed.

"Okay, it's finished."

"What should we do next?" She looked up at Wayne, her eyes filled with anticipation.

Wayne pointed to the empty space in the center of the formation.

"Sit down."

Celia was taken aback.

"Sit inside? Sit inside the circle?"

"Just sit down, why all the nonsense? Do you even want to succeed?"

Celia opened her mouth, but didn't retort. Instead, she obediently lifted her skirt, stepped over the rune lines on the ground, and sat cross-legged in the center of the formation.

As soon as she sat down, Wayne didn't give her any extra time to prepare and started chanting the incantation.

After reading it the first time, nothing happened.

Just as Celia was about to ask a question, the rune lines on the ground began to glow. First, the outermost ring, then the guiding runes in the middle, and finally the core array eye at the center; all the lines lit up in sequence along the drawn path.

Celia tensed up suddenly, feeling something welling up from deep within her body.

After a long while, Celia raised her head.

A flash of dark red crossed her eyes.

She looked down at her cross-legged posture, then at the rune array on the ground, and then her gaze fell on Vayne opposite her.

She was silent for a few seconds, then chuckled softly.

"Interesting, it will be a child who awakens me."

Wayne didn't respond.

His body tensed slightly, his gaze fixed on her, and water magic silently circulated within him, ready to deal with any unexpected situation.

"Don't be nervous." Celia noticed his wariness. "I'm not going to eat you, at least not now."

She stood up from the center of the formation, patted the dust off her skirt, and took two steps toward Wayne.

"My believer, what is your name?"

She waved.

"Come here, let your older sister suckle."

The moment Celia finished speaking, Wayne moved.

He raised his right hand, and a ball of holy light suddenly shone from his palm. Almost at the same moment, the water element in his left hand also surged, the water flowing upwards wrapped with the holy light, forming a blue-gold chain of light.

Celia's smile froze on her face.

She instinctively wanted to back away, but it was too late.

"Ouch! That hurts!"

With a short scream, Celia was sent flying backward by the blow, crashing into the low table behind her and scattering melon seeds and fruit plates all over the floor.

She tried to get up by pushing herself up from the ground, but the second chain followed closely behind, binding her tightly.

"you!"

Celia tried to struggle again, but the core of holy light that had been condensed was still suspended in mid-air in Wayne's palm. The more she moved, the tighter it became.

She finally gave up resisting and lay on the ground, panting heavily.

"Little...kid, what are you trying to do?"

Celia's panel quietly unfolded.

[Celia - Status Update]

[Identity: Abyssal Demon, Lord of Envy. Has lived for over a thousand years. The third daughter of the current Lord of Cam City.]

[Current Status: Her memories have begun to awaken, but her power has not yet fully recovered. She is unusually excited about encountering you under the suppression of the rules, believing it to be a "gift" from the abyss.]

[Note: Her first reaction upon waking is to toy with you, but without malice. However, in this world, being toyed with by a demon is not good news.]

Wayne looked down from his superior position.

"You were the one who said you wanted to smoke it first."

Celia's face turned red with anger: "I'll suck your head! I was just teasing you! Is it really that serious?!"

"I know you're kidding me." Wayne nodded. "But if you actually start moving, my current body might not be able to handle it. So, it's safer to restrain you first."

Celia's forehead vein throbbed twice.

"Let me go now, and I won't hold it against you. If you don't, wait until I recover..."

Wayne silently increased the restrictions on his family.

"Ah! Hmm~"
