One Piece: I'm a Hunter on the Grand Line
Chapter 68 Anti-Doflamingo Alliance
In the dark alley, Luo and Bepo jogged along, about to turn into another street.
Suddenly, a dark figure flashed past them and appeared at the alley entrance, blocking them inside.
"Is there anything else?" Luo cautiously stepped back.
Yelena was exasperated. Was she really that scary?
This guy always acts like he doesn't want anything to do with her.
"This isn't over yet. There's still a body in the park that you need to deal with. Come on, I'll introduce you to a new friend while we're at it."
Luo frowned. "What do you take my abilities for?"
Even so, Luo didn't turn to leave, or rather, he couldn't leave. Yelena led the way, while he and Bepo followed quietly behind.
The park and the bookstore are not far apart, and people from the neighborhood gathered around the bookstore to watch the Navy's cleanup work. Not many citizens came here for a stroll or recreation.
The group arrived at the park, and Violet quickly came to greet them, "My lady in black robes, you're back."
"How come... oh, you saw the whole fight?"
Yelena understood perfectly. This guy must have seen the scene of dispelling the fruit's power clearly. It's not surprising that he recognized her with his small body that's less than two meters tall.
"I saw it, but I can assure you, I was merely admiring your fighting stance and did not actually see your face. You can verify this on the spot!"
Violet extended her hand. "You can read my memories!"
Luo's face showed interest as he stared intently at the two of them.
"No need, I trust you."
Bypassing Violet, Yelena strode deeper into the park.
She can read memories like a ghost!
Disappointment flashed in Luo's eyes, but Violet was deeply moved and hurriedly followed.
"I never expected you to trust me so much!"
The group arrived under a tree.
The soil was somewhat loose, with obvious signs of having been turned over.
Yelena pointed to the bump on the ground, "Under here, it's like a long-awaited reunion. Before burying it deep, should we take a look first?"
Luo's lips twitched uncontrollably.
A ghostly reunion.
Luo activated his ability to move the corpse from underground.
"It was him!"
Upon seeing the other person's miserable state, a trace of pity rose in Luo's eyes.
Of all people to run into, I had to fall for that guy.
He scanned the park back and forth, finally arriving at a rockery where he buried the body of his childhood acquaintance fifty meters underground.
"Strictly speaking, I have no grudge against him. When I escaped from Doflamingo, Buffalo was just a kid. I never expected that we would meet like this again."
"That's what happens when someone's a member of the Don Quixote family. If you hadn't left them, you might have ended up like him," Yelena said decisively.
Seeing her firm attitude, Luo's expression was full of curiosity. "I heard you say before that you have a grudge against them. Would you mind telling me? After all, you already know my background, but I know almost nothing about you."
"That's right. To be fair, I should reveal some information. Everyone here has a grudge against Doflamingo. We're all in the same boat."
"Huh, do I have a grudge against him?" Bepo's eyes were filled with confusion. "Was it that guy who caused my separation from my companions?"
"Yes, it's definitely on his head," Yelena nodded.
Bepo's beady eyes flashed with fury. "How dare they!"
She pointed at Law, "Your mentor died at the hands of Doflamingo, and to this day, you are still hiding from his pursuit."
Luo nodded heavily, his eyes filled with sorrow.
Yelena looked at Violet, "Your country has been occupied by the Don Quixote family, your loved ones have died at their hands, and what's even more unacceptable is that you have to stay by the side of the enemy and watch their smug faces every day."
"Waaah..."
Violet covered her face and wept bitterly, tears streaming down her face and casting shadows on the dry ground.
Luo quickly looked up, and the sadness in his eyes seemed to have lessened somewhat.
There are people who are even worse off than him.
Luo pointed at Bepo: "You got separated from your companions and still can't find your way home."
Bepo nodded frantically, "That damned Doflamingo!"
The sadness in Law's eyes lessened again. He pulled Bepo behind him and gave him a warning look.
Yelena understood what she meant; she was being told not to talk nonsense.
Tch, what's so special about that?
She was already very kind by not blaming Doflamingo for everything, including Shanks losing an arm, Sabo losing his memory, and Blackbeard losing his father.
"After saying all that, what about you?"
Sensing that Yelena intended to change the subject, Luo quickly spoke up to stop her.
Violet wiped away her tears, her moist eyes also looking at her.
"Should I say it too?"
"What do you think?" Luo asked with an unfriendly expression.
"My Lord in Black Robes..." Violet's eyes were full of accusation.
"Damn Doflamingo!" Bepo shouted, raising his hand.
"Sigh... alright." Yelena sighed deeply.
"My hatred for them is not as dramatic and full of stories as yours, which would leave a deep impression and move even outsiders."
"For the Don Quixote family, that day was just a routine case of murder, arson, robbery, and looting. My father was unlucky enough to die at their hands."
"Like countless civilians who are killed casually, they don't even bother to remember what he looks like, let alone know that there is such an ordinary avenger as me."
Luo's expression was serious. "An ordinary avenger, yet he killed three core members of the Donquixote Family."
Violet looked at him with admiration. "You have done what we wanted to do but could not."
"Yes...uh-huh!"
Bepo failed to get a chance to curse; a dagger, unsheathed, was stuck in his mouth—Law's sword, Oni-Ku.
Yelena summoned the [Super Bounty Notice], an item that didn't exist in the eyes of others. Staring at the red paper before her, she sighed deeply.
"Perhaps I embody the anger and wishes of countless civilians who were harmed by pirates, as well as their families and friends."
"Whether it's me or them, we all harbor the same thought in our hearts—to take revenge on the pirates!"
As soon as she finished speaking, an immense aura erupted from the depths of Yelena's soul, transforming into a whirlwind that swept across the entire park!
Dust rose from the ground, leaves fluttered in the air, and flocks of birds that were resting on tree trunks fell in droves.
Bepo and Violet's pupils dilated in shock, their bodies trembled uncontrollably, and cold sweat dripped from their foreheads.
It wasn't until their momentum dissipated that the two came to their senses.
Bepo swiftly hid behind Law, and even though Law's slender figure couldn't hide his plump body, he still didn't dare to step forward.
"How scary! Yelena has suddenly become so scary!"
Violet's eyes widened in shock. "Conqueror's Haki! You possess that power too!"
Compared to the two, Luo did not show any surprise; his eyes revealed certainty.
"The power I felt outside the branch that day was definitely not an illusion!"
