The story begins with an eight-foot-tall lady surrounded by ghost story ladies.

Possessing eight extraordinary skills, Natsume Fanyu begins his journey in Tokyo, a city rife with ghost stories and rampant supernatural tales, subduing an eight-foot-tall woman. He initially expects a thrilling, action-packed adventure. However, things take a turn for the worse after a wealthy priestess named Jinguji Rin approaches him. Not only do his landlady, the two mothers of a yakuza heiress, his adopted sister from the countryside, and the quintuplets all become increasingly hostile towards him, but more and more ghost stories begin to unfold around him: Tomie, Kayako, Hanako, the Yuki-onna, the Kuchisake-onna, the Gap-onna, the Ouija Board, and so on. Despite being Tokyo's strongest exorcist, he finds himself surrounded by these ghost stories.
