Chapter 60: I want to fight!
Kuzma became visibly serious when faced with Ronin's request. He quickly got into position, but remained polite in his words.
"Excuse me, sir!"
At Garan's command, Kuzma charged toward Ronnin.
But in Luo Ning's eyes, everything was so magical; he had never felt this way before.
In his eyes, Kuzma's movements were so slow that it was a sensation that his senses were clearly faster than his own body could perceive. It was as if, in that instant, he had already seen through all the possible attack routes that Kuzma might take.
The body moves effortlessly, accompanied by the mind, and even the balance is perfect, without any of the awkwardness of someone who never exercises.
With this movement, he easily dodged Kuzma's attack.
Clearly, despite having Ronin's orders, the soldier still dared not go all out. After all, if you personally injure such a big shot as the second-in-command of this planet, you'll never have a good future.
Luo Ning could even hear the fear deep in Kuzma's heart. On one hand, he didn't want Luo Ning to find out that he was holding back. On the other hand, if he really attacked Luo Ning, even if Luo Ning didn't care, countless people in the military camp would make things difficult for him, and he would never have a good life again.
"Kuzma! When are you going to get serious? Don't you care about my orders?" Ronin shouted, forcefully ordering Kuzma to stop holding back.
"It's an adult!"
Kuzma suppressed his inner helplessness and lunged at Ronin once again.
This time, it was clear that he did not use the previous tactics. Instead, he opened his arms wide towards Luo Ning, trying to control Luo Ning through a wide-range attack.
Unfortunately, Luo Ning had already seen through both their thoughts and actions.
He easily dodged again and slashed the other man's shoulder with a backhand chop.
With impeccable control over both force and precision, Kuzma collapsed to the ground amidst everyone's astonishment.
The second and third soldiers quickly took turns advancing, but their attack methods were clearly very simple, and they were also holding back their strength for fear of hurting Luo Ning.
Although it was a pity, Luo Ning was unwilling to continue to make things difficult for these soldiers.
Luo Ning seized the opportunity and secured the victory.
When the fourth soldier came up, he caught Luo Ning's attention. His expression was very serious, and it was clear that he was a hardworking man even in ordinary times, and his thoughts were extremely simple.
Go all out to complete the tasks assigned by your superiors.
Unlike the others who had held back, he continued to attack relentlessly while constantly guarding against Luo Ning's movements to prevent Luo Ning from using grappling techniques again.
The two exchanged blows for several rounds, with Luo Ning easily dodging thanks to his agile movements and anticipation, and the fight remained undecided.
The soldier, however, fought with increasing ferocity and growing more imposing with each battle.
Unfortunately, he ultimately lost.
At this moment, Luo Ning clearly felt his body becoming noticeably tired, and even his breathing became rapid.
He never imagined that an ordinary person's physical strength could be exhausted so quickly.
It wasn't at all like the rampage he had imagined. Just dodging attacks and making appropriate counterattacks had already consumed a lot of his energy.
But instead of resting, he ordered Garland to send the last soldier into battle.
As the soldier stepped forward, Luo Ning immediately recognized him as completely different from the others in front of him.
Even his gait carried a completely different steadiness, and his weathered face fully revealed that this soldier had experienced many life-and-death battles.
At Garan's command, a barrage of attacks rained down.
The punches and kicks were almost non-stop, each one powerful and heavy. Luo Ning could clearly feel that his opponent was not holding back at all and was really serious when fighting Luo Ning.
Meanwhile, Luo Ning's performance was declining rapidly.
He also sensed the bottleneck in his strength. Although he could still dodge the opponent's attacks, his punches were ineffective against the soldier. He could only feel that the soldier's muscles were as hard as a wall, and the impact made his fingers hurt.
Meanwhile, after these few rounds of combat, his opponent had clearly become more serious. He was already faster than him, and if Luo Ning could barely dodge with his experience before, he was now finding it increasingly difficult.
Exhausted, Ronin quickly distanced himself from his opponent and raised his hand. Garan, who was standing to the side, hurriedly stopped the fight between the two.
Luo Ning was panting heavily, the taste of blood from the intense exercise lingering in his throat. Each breath was painful, his hands trembled uncontrollably, and even his legs felt weak.
"Wow, I'm so impressed, I lost." After a long while, Luo Ning was finally able to open his mouth. Looking at the soldiers in front of him, Luo Ning was filled with emotion.
Sure enough, the combat skills of trained people are still stronger than those of someone like me who has cheat codes.
But looking at the people around him, especially Garland, his expression was clearly off.
"What's wrong?" Luo Ning asked curiously, wondering why Garland looked so embarrassed.
Galan's expression of utter disbelief deepened, and he stammered, "Sir, how did you do that? This is the veteran instructor you invited! How were you able to hold your own?"
"Instructor?" Luo Ning was taken aback when he heard Garan's words.
Garland nodded and said, "You said you wanted a few experts, so I was afraid you wouldn't be satisfied, so I invited Instructor Donovan, who is currently training new recruits."
Seeing the man in front of him nod slightly to Luo Ning, Luo Ning finally understood why he felt that this man's aura was completely different from that of the previous soldiers from the moment he met him.
"So that's how it is." He couldn't help but sigh, and finally relaxed, he plopped down on the ground, which startled Garland, who quickly ran over to help him up.
Luo Ning smiled and returned to the command center with Garan.
"Sir, why did you suddenly have this idea of finding someone to spar with?" In the command center, Garan respectfully brought water to Ronin, asking with a face full of curiosity, "No! I should say, how did you do that? I never knew you were so skilled, sir. Where did you learn those strange moves?"
"I learned it in my dream! As soon as I woke up, I wanted to try out all these things I learned!" Ronin's expression was extremely serious, but Galan's expression clearly showed disbelief, assuming that Ronin was unwilling to reveal the truth.
As the two chatted about this and that, an alarm suddenly went off on the computer in the operations command center.
"Report: Ancient colonial ruins discovered in a hidden area. Requesting instructions!"
Ronin stood up abruptly from his chair. The servo skull that he had previously asked Viktor to produce was now conducting a radial, global reconnaissance scan centered on the hive city.
Finally, we've made a discovery!
