Warhammer: Starting with Industrial Revolution

Chapter 93: What's wrong now?!

Just as Ronin was contemplating the planet's future, Victor interrupted his thoughts.

"Lord Ronin, there is a problem we must solve. With the resources our planet currently possesses, it will be extremely difficult to expand the scale of production and manufacture all types of these armors."

He pulled up a resource list and continued, "The Lemanrus's frontal armor requires a special plastic steel alloy, the petrified lizard's cannon barrels require a high-strength wear-resistant alloy, and the Hydra's fire control system requires sophisticated logic chips. Our planet is currently unable to produce these materials on its own."

Luo Ning looked at the list and sighed helplessly.

Vatos VII is really too barren.

The reason the Empire abandoned this planet to several incompetent governors was because, apart from basic iron ore and common chromium ore, it had almost no high-value strategic minerals.

Previously, the empire had only assigned this place the most basic ammunition production work, and there was never a proper military industrial system.

To support a complete armored forces production line, the issues of minerals and raw materials must be resolved.

"Milayin should be back soon. I'll send her a message in Star Language and tell her to take these supplies with her."

He turned to look at Victor, his tone utterly sincere:

"Lord Victor, you have done so much for this planet, how can I possibly repay you? Just name your name, and I will do whatever it takes to help you."

Victor simply shook his head, the red light from his optical prosthetic eye sweeping across the blueprints on the control panel, and slowly spoke:

"Lord Ronin, from the day we joined forces to seal the Iron Man's ruins, we have been deeply bound together. The strength of this planet is the foundation of my standing in the Mechanical Church. You want a prosperous and powerful nest city, and I want a private place where I can devote myself to researching Machine Souls and Golden Age technology. Our goals have always been the same."

Looking at Viktor, Luo Ning couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.

His arrival in this perilous universe and the encounter with a reliable ally like Victor was incredibly lucky.

He bowed slightly and then raised another question that had been lingering in his mind:

"There's another matter. I heard there's been a large-scale invasion of the sector by the Orks recently. Although they haven't reached our side yet, food rations are likely to be in serious trouble. I wonder how far along the land purification project outside Hive City is going?"

"It's basically finished, please rest assured, Lord Ronin. I have already handed it over to Doman Michon, and when the time is right, he will contact you to arrange manpower to carry out the construction of the farm."

As if seeing through Luo Ning's thoughts, he added:

"The crops of the Golden Age have extremely high yields. The first harvest can be obtained in about three months. At that time, Lord Luo Ning's food shortage should be greatly alleviated."

Hearing Viktor say that, Ronin finally felt relieved.

Upon returning to the hive capital, he immediately sent all his requests to Milain via Star Language.

All he could do now was wait.

Time passed quickly. On the purified land outside the nest city, farms sprang up under the supervision of tens of thousands of Miqiong. A large number of refugees from the nest enlisted in the army and became the first batch of farm workers.

Of course, as agreed, one-third of the area was reserved for the Mechanical Church.

The plant seeds used to cultivate various sacred oils and nutrient solutions should be brought back with them when the Milain merchant team returns.

The location for the tank factory has also been finalized, right next to the Chaodu Industrial Zone and the mines.

Transportation, raw materials, and electricity are all in place, and the foundation has been poured. Construction can begin as soon as the equipment arrives.

The changes at the dome base are happening at an unprecedented pace.

The White Jade Church in the Central Square has been fully completed.

Under the almost obsessive supervision of the priest, the craftsmen carved every detail of the imperial statue to perfection. Sunlight streamed through the stained glass into the hall, creating a sacred and solemn atmosphere.

The first group of children had long since become the priest’s most loyal students, reciting scriptures and studying imperial doctrines in the church every day, engraving the emperor’s faith into their very bones.

Of course, the most surprising thing is the construction of the upper level of the dome base.

A tall alloy wall surrounds the entire dome base, with automatic machine gun turrets and sentry posts densely packed on top of the wall.

Inside the base, rows of buildings have been erected, serving as barracks and command centers for the defense troops stationed at the dome base.

The small airfield behind the base has been completed, with hangars connected to the defense force base, ready to respond to combat alerts at any time.

The only downside is that Luo Ning's air force is practically nonexistent, so the airport is not yet of any use.

Milairin, who was supposed to return, has yet to be heard from.

The two agreed to exchange light industrial goods every two months, but this time, she was already half a month late.

Luo Ning did not press him.

Merchants and wanderers traversing the star sector are inherently fraught with unknown risks; he only wished for Milain's safety.

Finally, on the morning of the seventeenth day, news came from the airport:

Millein's merchant ships have returned.

Luo Ning personally rushed to the airport, where Milley was standing at the foot of the gangway, looking travel-worn but with bright eyes.

Upon seeing Luo Ning, she immediately greeted him with a smile and handed him the data panel directly.

"Luo Ning, look at our business!"

Sales of light industrial products far exceeded expectations. As her trade routes expanded, daily necessities and simple tools from Nest City were in short supply on surrounding planets, and profits more than tripled.

"You must expand production quickly! Opportunities to make money are always fleeting; it will be too late once others discover this path to wealth!" Millein said excitedly, her inherent generosity unchanged.

Luo Ning, however, readily agreed with a smile.

Of course, she not only brought back the profit statements, but also fulfilled all her promises:

She brought back all the special seeds needed by the Mechanical Church, but the quantity was slightly insufficient, and she promised to make up for it next time;

The special plastic steel, wear-resistant alloys, and precision chips that Luo Ning urgently needed filled three cargo holds.

To gather these supplies, she traveled to almost half of the star sector, avoiding three areas of Greenskin riots, which delayed her journey.

"Thank you for your hard work." Luo Ning looked at the tired woman in front of him, whose eyes were full of smiles, and was deeply moved.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Luo Ning could only carry Milley back to his bedroom and use all his strength to express his heartfelt gratitude.

Milley was in a great mood, and even raised an eyebrow to signal the harem members who were hiding outside the door peeking and secretly jealous to join in.

What man could refuse such a request?

But he didn't expect that after the harem joined, Milain's attention would shift from him to the girls who were either indifferent or shy.

With a powerful yet alluring aura, she teased Luo Ning's girls with abandon, creating a scene that was both erotic and lively.

Even Luo Ning couldn't help but stop and carefully admire the beautiful scenery before him.

But at that moment, the communicator by the bed suddenly blared, the guard's urgent call, filled with panic, piercing the ambiguous atmosphere in the room:

"Lord Luo Ning! Urgent interstellar communication! The State Religion Fleet is about to arrive at the airport and is expected to dock in five hours!"

thump!

Luo Ning lost his balance and fell off the bed, landing hard on his bottom on the floor.

With his hair all messy, he ignored the surprised looks from the girls around him and muttered to himself, looking completely bewildered:

"What is it now?!"
