Chapter 21 Another World

Chapter 21 Another World

In the hazy darkness, a glimmer of light slowly rippled.

A familiar aura wafted around him, gradually calming Adir down.

In the darkness, an instinct was amplified, transmitting a message into Adir's mind.

In an instant, Adir understood where he was.

He looked up and gazed ahead.

There, a point of white light flickered, hanging high in the dark sky, like a white sun.

Seemingly sensing Adir's gaze, the white sun in front of it rippled slightly, creating a ripple in the surrounding space, transmitting the message to Adir's soul through some kind of mysterious connection.

"These are... the coordinates of the world?"

In an instant, Adir understood what this was.

Having arrived here, he understood the reason for everything.

His soul seemed to be special, able to receive information from the void, capture the coordinates of certain worlds, and establish a connection with them through these coordinates, allowing him to travel to other worlds under certain conditions.

In his previous two lives, Adir, as an ordinary person, was able to cross between two worlds because of his special ability, which allowed him to be reborn into other worlds twice.

This ability to travel through time had actually always existed within his soul, but it was only recently fully activated, bringing him to this primordial dark space.

At this thought, Adir seemed to be deep in thought.

He thought about the timing of those strange dreams, and a keen intuition allowed him to perceive the pattern in them.

"Is it because the seed of life has been activated?"

The thought flashed through his mind, and then he saw the white sun before him flash with bright light.

This light is warm yet sharp; it is the radiance of the world, but it has no real heat.

Feeling the light, Adir instinctively reached out his hand to meet the white sun in front of him.

A crisp cracking sound rang out in this space where only souls existed, and then a huge door appeared before Adir's eyes, slowly opening and sucking him in.

Before Adir could react, he felt an immense force pulling him in, leaving him no power to resist, and he was directly sucked into the door.

Behind the door, a world slowly unfolded before him.

··········

His will gradually returned, and the light before his eyes reappeared.

Adir suddenly opened his eyes, a sharp glint in them, and scanned his surroundings.

The scenery around him took him by surprise.

In front of him was an ancient high-rise building, which looked to be eight or nine stories tall, but it was very dilapidated, as if it had been abandoned for a long time and had been eroded by the passage of time.

Plants grow on the high-rise buildings, climbing along the ancient walls, and green moss covers the gray walls.

This familiar yet unfamiliar scene stunned Adir, almost making him think he had returned to the peaceful world he once knew.

However, the scenery that followed made him reject his idea.

On the distant land, the black soil was trembling, and below, a huge monster, three or four meters long, emerged from the ground.

The monster had eight long legs, each with a barb that looked very sharp. Its body structure was similar to that of some insects, but it was many times larger, making it look much more terrifying.

With his excellent eyesight, Adir could clearly see the appearance of the insect-like beast.

Instinctively, he darted to the side and used the building as cover to conceal his body.

Under normal circumstances, insects often have poor eyesight, but Adir was certain that this insect-beast was not within the normal range, so it was not impossible for him to be found.

He had just arrived in this place and didn't want to get into a fight with these monsters for no reason.

As the insectoid beast receded into the distance, Adir suddenly remembered something and quickly muttered to himself, "Chip, activate monitoring mode, monitor my surroundings!"

"Template check enabled!" The mechanical voice rang in Adir's mind as soon as he gave the order, and it sounded wonderful to him at that moment.

"Fortunately, the chip is still there." Adir breathed a sigh of relief.

He carefully examined his physical condition and found that it was no different from before.

The power and life seed within the body are still there, and no difference was found through chip detection, so it is clear that I am not currently in a hallucination.

"It seems that this time I didn't just have my soul travel, but my entire body came with me."

The thought flashed through Adir's mind, and he seemed to be deep in thought.

Thinking of this, Adir quietly placed his right hand on his chest.

With a thought, a strange feeling came to Adir from within his soul.

"It will take another seven days before we can go back?"

Instinctively, Adir understood the feeling, and muttered to himself.

Time travel doesn't happen out of thin air. Even if someone has a talent-like ability to travel, they still need energy to activate it.

After this journey, Adir had already exhausted most of the power he had accumulated. If he wanted to go back, he would have to wait for a while longer.

Thinking of this, Adir shook his head and looked ahead.

The world before him was somewhat similar to the world of his first life, but the technology seemed to be much more backward, and the situation didn't look very good.

He was standing next to a tall building, with a street behind him that looked somewhat like a modern city.

After standing there for a moment and thinking, Adir walked towards the city ahead.

He has come to this world alone, with only a sword and some gold coins, and no food or water. It will be difficult for him to survive for seven days.

Compared to the wilderness, it's always easier to find food in a city.

Furthermore, Adir also wanted to find some information in the city to understand the situation of this world.

The city in the distance was not far from Adir, and at his speed, he had already reached it in just a few minutes.

However, once inside the city, an eerie atmosphere made Adir frown.

"It's too quiet."

The thought flashed through his mind as he looked at the long street in front of him.

The street in front of us looks somewhat old. Although there are modern buildings, there are also many wooden buildings scattered around, making it seem quite fragmented.

The level of technology in this world doesn't seem to be very high.

As Adir walked past a building, he saw a photograph on the ground.

The photo is in black and white and looks very simple. It shows a couple and a little girl of about four or five years old, smiling happily in the photo.

Next to the photo are three mummified corpses, two women and one man, two adults and one child, who have been dead for an unknown period of time.

One of the male mummies' arms was outstretched, pressing tightly against the photograph; because of the long period of time, it had become stuck to the photograph.
