Chapter 32 Discovery

In front of the village, several bodies were quickly dragged away and disposed of.

Seeing this scene, the expressions on the faces of those present were rather grim, as if they were recalling something terrifying.

"It's eerie..." Standing next to Raman, a middle-aged man said in a trembling voice, "This is definitely the work of eeries, it has spread to our vicinity without us even realizing it."

"Don't talk nonsense!" Raman glared at the man, and seeing the grim faces of those around him, he had no choice but to step forward and speak up: "Everyone, don't be afraid! There are enough people in our village. As long as we don't go to those places to provoke them, these ghostly things won't come looking for us!"

"Please be careful when you go out during this time, and absolutely avoid dangerous places!"

He coldly uttered those words, then led his men away, leaving those people standing there silently.

Seeing the situation before them, the people remained silent. After a while, they gradually dispersed and headed back to their respective residences.

Adir watched these people leave with a cold eye, and seemed somewhat puzzled as he looked at the corpses being dragged away, standing there slowly pondering.

He clearly sensed something was wrong from what he had just witnessed; it seemed as if something bad had happened.

He reached his right hand to his waist, took out a blueprint, and opened it directly.

A map was displayed before him, with several routes for leaving clearly marked.

Looking at the map and recalling the scene when the knight left, Adir had a vague realization.

Silently putting the map back in his hand, Adir walked towards his house, quietly waiting for the night to come.

The next day, as dawn broke, a strange sense of unease startled him awake.

Adir opened his eyes. Deep within his soul, it seemed as if a world was connecting with him, emanating a certain fluctuation.

"The power has been accumulated, I can go back now." He murmured to himself, feeling the instinctive pull, a glint of light flashing in his eyes.

As if by instinct, he had a feeling that he could leave this place and return to the world he was in before with just a thought.

He got up, stood there for a while and thought about it, but ultimately decided not to go back immediately.

Traveling through worlds requires immense power. If he chooses to return this time, all the power he accumulated in his previous two lives will be exhausted, and he doesn't know when he will be able to accumulate enough power again.

Compared to the previous world, this world is undoubtedly more suitable for Adir at this moment, allowing him to improve quickly, unlike other knights who progress slowly.

Thinking of this, Adir's eyes deepened as he looked into the distance.

"It'll be soon!" He muttered to himself, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes.

Last night, through his keen senses, he clearly sensed that some unusual aura had infiltrated the village and had not yet disappeared, seemingly lurking deep within it.

For others, this meant crisis, but for Adir, it meant prey and harvest.

The effects of that crystal core are still something Adir can't forget.

The day passed quickly, and as dusk approached, a commotion and argument broke out in a wooden house.

"What should we do!" Inside the wooden house, Errey, his face ashen, looked at the other two people inside and said, "The news has spread throughout the village; the strange occurrences have spread again!"

Before him stood a young man with a forced smile on his face: "It shouldn't... be any bad, right..."

“Yes!” A woman chimed in from the other side, “Even if the strange things really do spread, so what? These kinds of things happen every now and then, it’s nothing unusual.”

"As long as we don't go to those forbidden areas on our own initiative, we should be fine."

She spoke, her breathing rapid, her right hand wiping the sweat from her forehead, her face pale.

Hearing this, Ernie remained silent for a while, and after a long time, slowly raised his head: "What if it really is the time for a breakthrough?"

These words seemed to be a taboo, causing the other two to turn pale instantly.

"I don't think so..." The young man said with difficulty, looking at Erri in front of him. His back was already soaked with sweat.

On the other side, the woman suddenly fell silent and didn't say a word.

Seeing this, Erley sighed: "You all know what happened yesterday, right? Those corpses."

"Wasn't he already taken away and cremated by Lord Raman?" the young man asked in confusion.

"Cremation." A twisted expression appeared on Ernie's face, a mixture of fear and sneer. "It would be better if I were really cremated."

"Did you know that Raman and his group have disappeared this morning? Not only have they vanished, but their horses have also been taken away."

He looked at the two men in front of him and said, "This morning, after I noticed Raman and the others had disappeared, I immediately followed the trail to the place where they cremated those bodies yesterday!"

"Do you know what I found?"

"The fire is still burning! On the firewood and flames, those corpses lie perfectly intact, their clothes burned off, not even a trace of skin is burned!"

"Those corpses have mutated; we can't burn them at all! Raman and the others noticed something was wrong, and after realizing they couldn't handle it, they just abandoned us and ran away!"

Finally, Ernie roared, his face contorted with fear, resentment, anger, and other emotions.

"What!" The two people in front of them were stunned. Looking at the roaring Erri in front of them, their minds seemed to explode and become a mess.

"Don't doubt anything now!" Looking at the two people in front of him, Erley took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the complex emotions in his heart: "The strange phenomenon has already erupted, and it has even affected our village. We can no longer hesitate!"

"Go! Leave now! Pack your things tonight, and at daybreak tomorrow, we'll take our families and leave this place!"

Seeing the two of them looking stunned, Erley decisively gave the order, then walked to the wooden door to the side, opened it, and prepared to leave.

"Where are you going?" The young man asked instinctively inside the cabin, watching Erri's actions.

"Go find that powerful knight!" Ernie said without turning his head. "The anomaly has erupted! This area will become extremely dangerous from now on. Without that knight's protection, none of us will be able to leave this area!"

After saying this, he quickly walked away, leaving the two bewildered people in the wooden house.
