Chapter 153 I Don't Acknowledge

Chapter 153 I Don't Admit It (First Update!)

"Would you be interested in meeting Captain America? You'll only see him from behind a one-way mirror, but that's still pretty exciting, isn't it?" Nick Fury raised an eyebrow. "I'm sure you have a Captain America poster or toy in your bedroom. Every kid has one, and you're no exception."

"Ha." Salomon chuckled coldly. Nick Fury tried to steer the conversation in a lighter direction, and the arcane mage didn't mind, because whether he was lying or not, Salomon could find the answer in those memories. "No," he said, "not a single one. While Captain America is a very respectable individual, America... uh, I can't imagine having an American flag in my bedroom, that's disgusting."

"Here we go again!" Nick Fury narrowed his one eye, clicking his tongue. "I just don't understand why you have such hostility towards America. You have to understand, World War II was only able to end because of America. With Captain America, with the Manhattan Project, America fought for justice during World War II!"

Salomon laughed so hard he almost fell off his chair. "There's no justice in America, only capital, and capital has no morality. When Germany was preparing for World War II, wasn't it Wall Street that lent money to Germany? Didn't the DuPont conglomerate and its chemical companies, the Rockefeller conglomerate and ExxonMobil, the Morgan conglomerate and its controlled telegraph and telephone companies, and Ford Motor Company also sign huge contracts with Germany, exporting technology to Germany? I remember Ford himself had a cross eagle badge!"

"You're talking about things before World War II, back when nobody knew war would break out." Nick Fury slammed his fist on the table, seemingly exasperated.

"Alright, let's talk about what happened during and after the war." The sorcerer waved his hand and posed the first question: "Eugenetica. Hitler was a believer in eugenics. In 1933, the newly established NC German government enacted a law to forcibly sterilize 'those with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, epilepsy, deafness, physical deformities, and alcoholism,' and carried out 400,000 sterilizations in the following five years. From 1934 onwards, people with severe mental illnesses were prohibited from marrying. The Nuremberg Laws of 1935 not only prohibited Germans from marrying Jews but also prohibited sexual relations. In the two years from 1939 to 1941, 90,000 patients in mental hospitals were murdered, and in the following four years, 6 million 'carriers of harmful blood and genes' were brutally murdered under the pretext of racial purification."

"Does anyone really think NC can't be evil?" Nick Fury blinked. "If there is such a person, I'll replace his showerhead with a smoke generator."

"Eugenics is certainly foolish, but this doctrine didn't originate in Germany, it originated in the United States," Salomon laughed. "Moreover, the United States was the first to implement eugenics; Germany merely improved upon the model of the American Harry Laughlin. The world's first sterilization law targeting 'criminals, idiots, rapists, and the mentally challenged' was enacted in Indiana in 1907, and then more than 30 states followed suit. If it weren't for NC Germany's visit to the American eugenics community and the discovery of the role of chromosomes in heredity, eugenics would still be continuing in the United States."

Nick Fury shrugged; he gave up arguing. America's dark history was too much for him to count.

"After World War II, Britain experienced a divorce boom and a baby boom. The British government had to send ships to repatriate over a million babies to America, trying to find their fathers. Look at those American soldiers who left their children everywhere, they're still the same as before. Don't you know how many sex scandals occur every year among US troops stationed in Japan?" Salomon put Phoenix on the table and said, "Captain America is just a soldier who hasn't read many books. What do you think he would think if he knew these things that history books dare not write? He is indeed worthy of respect because he dared to sacrifice his life for an ideal, which is truly great. But America is not worthy of respect."

"What you said makes some sense," Nick Fury said, scoffing. "But your thinking is toxic. Sending you to see Captain America is probably the stupidest decision in the world. America is a country of faith, and every soldier in this country firmly believes that they are fighting for God."

"I didn't, I didn't, I don't admit it." Salomon, seeing Nick Fury's surprised look, couldn't help but laugh out loud. "What, can't I speak for God? I'm the Son of God! No one on Earth is more suitable to speak for God than me, not even the Pope; they haven't been recognized. In fact, I even have the right to deny the orthodoxy of the Roman Catholic Church. I can even speak for the entire Abrahamic pantheon because I have Abrahamic blood in my veins. God's covenant was made with my ancestors, not with anyone else. Listen to me, I said no, America didn't fight for God, do you understand?"

"F*uck off!" Nick Fury rolled his eyes in exasperation, and Salomon, along with Phoenix, got up to leave the office. But just as they were about to open the portal, he turned back and brought up the topic again. "You guarantee Coulson or Natasha didn't take those books, right?" Salomon said. "Answer carefully. To prevent that knowledge from falling into the wrong hands, I won't let any ordinary person who might have read those books go unpunished. If necessary, I'll wipe Trisolaris headquarters off the face of the earth and hunt down every S.H.I.E.L.D. agent... You know I'm capable of it."

"I assure you, Salomon."

"Very well." The arcane mage nodded. "Then let's wait and see. Don't disappoint me, Nick Fury."

Nick Fury watched Salomon disappear from his office with the spring breeze over the Thames, like a phoenix. He seemed never to have been angry, but rather lost in thought. He couldn't understand whether Salomon's words, "Don't let me down," were a threat or encouragement. Nick Fury had no idea what Salomon's true feelings were towards S.H.I.E.L.D.

He needs to speed up his plans.

Only that plan would give him the power to fight back when facing Salomon.

------------

Salomon is very busy; since returning to Eton College, he has once again devoted himself to endless studies.

The Eton College curriculum wasn't particularly difficult for him; the real challenge lay in his studies at Kamar-Taj. Ever since the Sorcerer Supreme had chosen him as the heir to the Holy Sword, he had not only undergone swordsmanship and horsemanship training but also had to learn how to use a lance—a lance provided by Athena, whose origins were anyone's guess. But these were really nothing compared to his weekend violin, piano, sculpture, and painting lessons. For the sorcerer, the only thing that truly posed a challenge was Dormammu.

Although Salomon honed his willpower while studying Yog-Sothoth's magic, Yog-Sothoth was far away and not as troublesome as Dormammu, who was right next door. Salomon could now draw a small amount of magic from Dormammu's dark dimension without experiencing dark dimension crystallization, but this power could also cause problems for Salomon's mind.

In order to allow his soul to survive in the Dark Dimension, Salomon could not invoke the name of Vishanti. He could only use a spell from another pantheon—the Fist of Yog-Sothoth. Currently, only Salomon on Earth knows how to cast this spell. The Sorcerer Supreme gave up learning it after only a brief look, because this spell is essentially the same as the "Crimson Necklace of Setorak," which is cast using the power of the Crimson Universe. It's not that special; the only price is the caster's sanity.

The Sorcerer Supreme instructed Salomon to fill the Kamar-Taj library with the spell of Arcane Invocation, and the Sorcerer Supreme also modified the spell "Sacred Sword of Vishanti" based on the Blade Pact provided by Salomon. From then on, the apprentices in Kamar-Taj were divided into the Pact faction and the Arcane Burst faction, greatly increasing Kamar-Taj's means of combat—after all, there is no offensive magic in the Book of Vishanti.

Over the next few months, in addition to his studies, Salomon also crafted and replenished his magical equipment. The Magic Missile Wand and Fireball Wand were always useful, and Salomon spent time and money crafting another spare. During this time, he also traveled to Northern Europe with Bayonetta and Jeanne.

However, this wonderful time was eventually interrupted, and he had to cut short his weekend.

He met the first victim of Kamar-Taj since his birth.
