Chapter 203 Preliminary Construction of Constructs

Chapter 203 Initial Construction of the Construct (First Update!)

Salomon came to learn, not to tell stories. After wiping the blood from his fists, he dismissed Tony Stark and began studying the basic textbooks the wealthy man had collected, browsing the Iron Man suit's database. While these textbooks were "basic," they were incomprehensible without a foundation in scientific theory, not to mention the vast and complex database; even after Jarvis's processing, the Iron Man suit still generated a mountain of redundant data. He came to Tony Stark to learn construct technology—he wouldn't need to learn these things if he only needed to build golems, but who wouldn't want a beautiful mechanical maid?

No one can resist beautiful mecha girls! (Outrageous statement)

Prior to this, Salomon had already begun researching golem creation and bionic flesh in necromancy and alchemy, such as the preliminary research steps for flesh golems and the homunculus (an alchemist variant, the Origin Scholar). Salomon really didn't want to go to the elemental planes to grab some brainless idiot and stuff him into his golem; he wanted servants with reason.

To this end, he went to great lengths to build his own mechanical structure, including constructing its intelligent thinking circuits.

The sorcerer even wanted to put more effort into the bionic flesh and blood, giving these mechanical maids body temperature and touch like humans—this had nothing to do with being single; it was simply a spellcaster's exploration of the application of magic and science, a great pursuit of the truth of this world! Even if the witch asked, Salomon could handle it with ease (he should).

Regardless of Stark's character, his achievements in mechanical design and automation are unparalleled. Salomon had seen the mechanical structure of the Iron Man suits; the transmission systems from the Mark II to the Mark VI were truly eye-opening for the arcane mages. Especially the Mark V portable armor—Tony Stark didn't use the previous combination of ball screws and gears to enhance the power output of the hand and foot armor. Instead, he employed a biomimetic transmission structure similar to snake muscles to compress the entire internal structure of the armor—and his miniaturization results were astonishing, compressing an Iron Man suit to the size of a briefcase.

This is exactly what Salomon wants. To ensure his mechanical maid possesses skin and muscles indistinguishable from a real person while also being incredibly strong, he must dedicate himself to studying mechanical structures. Of course, some might ask, why would a low-level mage think about such things? But one who doesn't plan for the long term cannot plan for the short term. While Salomon is also formidable in close combat, his primary role is that of a spellcaster. He needs a close-quarters golem or mechanical puppet to protect him—compared to flesh golems and clay golems that resemble soft-packaged drinks, or clumsy, heavy stone and iron golems, or even the Golems cobbled together from stones and powered by the twelve sacred sounds of Kabbalah, Salomon chose a beautiful young lady.

This is only natural, and no one will blame him.

Prior to this, he had never discussed this plan with anyone connected to the magical world, but he was already well-prepared. He purchased large quantities of lower-dimensional metals in Rodana and manufactured alloys at Stark Industries according to the Fallen Angel craftsmen's formula. After that, Salomon, having determined the transmission method for the metal skeleton, could begin constructing the metal frame for the mechanical maid. He only needed to use Tony Stark's metalworking workshops to manufacture all the necessary parts.

He needed to engrave runes, enchant, and inlay various treated magical gems onto the completed metal skeleton. Each gem functioned much like an integrated circuit, capable of receiving and processing instructions. This kind of programming work was his forte; Stark's artificial intelligence, Jarvis, was an excellent learning model—after these gems were installed, countless faint starlight wandered within them, forming the pathways of magical energy, similar to the fuzzy logic of a neural network, a magical miracle. However, this was far from enough; this neural network had not yet undergone deep learning and was unable to judge things.

Only after sufficient learning can the intelligence of the construct be considered complete. Salomon entrusted this step to Jarvis, a highly skilled artificial intelligence with extensive experience in this area.

After completing these tasks, he would travel to Vandazar Fol to procure magical materials from other dimensions sufficient to support the magical circuitry, to create the best possible shell for the mechanical maid. Furthermore, he would employ the results of his research in necromancy and alchemy in certain parts to make them as soft and moist as a real person—this work would take him a long time, but he had no regrets, even if it meant selling all his scrolls and potions to complete it. These things, though ultimately unnecessary, were better than nothing.

He showed Stark all his construct design blueprints, which included not only lifelike mechanical maids but also various mechanical monster girl models covered in swords and spears. After seeing some of the specially marked designs, even Stark was amazed by Salomon's twisted nature. Before seeing the blueprints, he had never imagined that Salomon could actually hide such bizarre things under the skirts of robots.

Regarding this short-haired mechanical maid, still in the design phase and dressed in a black one-piece dress and a white one-piece swimsuit, Stark could only admit that, despite his extensive experience, he was nowhere near half as skilled in eroticism as Salomon. He couldn't understand why Salomon, a virgin, would have such aesthetic tastes.

Salomon, of course, wouldn't tell him that these inspirations came from eroge (adult visual novels). The extent to which a mage can become twisted is beyond the imagination of ordinary people. Mages like Salomon, who patiently cultivate relationships, are rare. Most high-ranking mages seek out nymphs, treants, or other creatures to solve their problems; the wilder ones turn to succubi and lustful demons from lower planes. Those who go even further might seek out certain pink-themed spells (which Salomon also knows), or even seek the help of mechanical arts—Salomon possesses the memories of ten spellcasters, his XP system is as bad as it gets. And coincidentally, the witch's family tradition is also an expert in this area, which can only be considered a kind of destiny.

Stark, a mage-like figure with a keen inquisitive spirit, not only didn't dislike these projects but was actually quite interested in them. Otherwise, he would never have tolerated the arcane so frequently dismantling his creations, especially since the Iron Man suits couldn't be reassembled after being disassembled. He had only one request: Salomon had to complete the work in his workshop. He wanted to see a truly magical, intelligent robotic maid born—he had seen robots built with technology, and now to see a flesh-and-blood robot created with magic was a very interesting prospect for him. To this end, Stark specifically agreed to sponsor some micro-missiles as the robotic maid's means of combat; in his view, swords alone were far too inadequate.

After Salomon finishes his studies for the day, Stark will go out with the sorcerer to gather material. In Stark's words, he wants to "broaden Salomon's horizons"—today is the day the world's best stripper is performing on Broadway, and Stark secretly got two tickets so he could go with Salomon to experience that captivating charm.

This is a dedication to science and magic; don't view it with prejudice. The sorcerer genuinely went with a sketchbook; he truly wanted to learn, to learn how to depict that kind of physique. After all, he's a married man and wouldn't act recklessly. But what Stark thinks is beyond his control. He simply sent Pepper Potts a text message upon arriving at Broadway—to ensure the future birth of Morgan Stark, Miss Pepper Potts specifically requested Salomon to keep a close eye on Tony Stark. The CEO of Stark Industries wouldn't mind this stockpiled munitions, as long as Tony Stark doesn't go out and philander. Sorry, Mr. Stark, this is for the sake of completing the project; only Miss Potts can approve the micro-missiles.

Moreover, he is a married man.

"Beyonda." Salomon waved the two tickets in his hand, then called the witch, his tone as gentle and sweet as possible, "Would you be interested in seeing a show on Broadway...?"
