Chapter 233 The Artificial Human's Weapon
Chapter 233 The Artificial Human's Weapon (First Update)
In fact, the matter of Mephisto's son didn't disrupt Salomon's schedule much, because both tracking the Ghost Rider and the unidentified demonic descendant required time. The Sorcerer Supreme clearly knew something, but he remained silent. All the arcane mages believed that the Sorcerer Supreme had his own plans, and they didn't need to think about it too much. After all, Kamar-Taj had never had any problems under the Sorcerer Supreme's guidance for a thousand years, and this time was no exception.
Salomon, the Supreme Master's favorite disciple, descended the mountain with the advice of his fellow disciple, who suffered from diarrhea, to interact with the Tibetan people. Many sorcerers study basic herbal medicine before signing a contract with Vishanti, and performing good deeds increases the success rate of this contract (sorcerers and leaders choose each other, and alignment is based on actions, not intentions; good deeds are good deeds, regardless of the reason). Therefore, aside from Salomon, who unexpectedly signed a contract, almost all sorcerers participated in the work of treating the Tibetan people down the mountain. Although he had never shown his face at the foot of the mountain, when Salomon appeared in the simple, thin grey robes of Kamar-Taj, he was still recognized—Salomon forced a smile, bracing himself for an onslaught of large amounts of yak butter tea. His fellow disciple's advice was useless; the simple, warm hospitality of this border region was simply too irresistible!
"Boya, you look unwell." The witch sniffed, a hint of interest flashing in her pale gray eyes. She knew where Kamar-Taj's headquarters were, and she smelled the scent of felted wool and oil. The sharp-eyed Bayonetta even spotted a few grayish wool strands on Salomon's hem. She had a pretty good idea of what was going on; she just wanted to see if Salomon would shamelessly reveal it.
The homunculus stood by, holding a pair of cotton pajamas, ready to help Salomon change. Salomon's expression wasn't exactly bad, but rather a strange mix of shame and pleasure, like a large, adult golden retriever who had just stuffed a whole sausage down its throat. He wasn't food poisoning; the effects of the large amount of yak butter tea had simply been too good, to the point of shame. When he returned to Kamar-Taj headquarters, he was greeted only with a mocking look from his senior. None of the potions he had stockpiled helped his previous symptoms. In desperation, he had to run to a remote clinic to buy some pills—the medicine there was much cheaper than at any clinic in America, since his health insurance didn't work in this country.
"It's nothing." Unsurprisingly, Salomon refused to answer the question. He weakly raised his hands, letting the android help him change his clothes. Even though he was much better now, and his constitution allowed him to recover quickly, it wasn't now. Right now, he just wanted to lie down on something soft and sleep. So, the witch's lap became the best option. Bayonetta played with Salomon's hair, then poked his face, showing no sign of stopping.
"Where is Joan of Arc?" Salomon asked with his eyes closed. "I haven't seen her today."
"She went to a spa with your foster mother. For some reason, Athena only invited her; it seems she had something to say to her." The witch frowned, somewhat displeased with Athena's attitude. She remembered Joan of Arc blushing and her eyes darting around after receiving Athena's call, refusing to meet her gaze. Bayonetta poked the sorcerer's cheek again in frustration, but Salomon was too busy enjoying the witch's lap to open his eyes. He was intoxicated by the softness and fragrance, forgetting all about the training he was about to give the androids. With his remaining sliver of consciousness, he asked, "What about the Cheshire Cat?"
"It also went to a spa; it insisted on doing so."
"A cat with cucumber slices stuck to its eyes?" The sorcerer imagined the Cheshire Cat looking ridiculous. "I hope there's a pet grooming service there. Come to think of it, that silly cat seems to enjoy life more than any of us, darling."
"Boya, have you forgotten why the Cheshire Cat was neutered?" The witch gently pinched Salomon's ear. "Don't end up like the Cheshire Cat!"
The android standing to the side was even more puzzled.
Human relationships are so complicated; she needs to speed up her studies.

"Ahem." Salomon still tried to maintain his master's dignity in front of the android, even though such a thing didn't exist. He had to put on a show. He and the android Dina were currently in the Stark Corporation's top-floor laboratory, Stark's private lab. The sorcerer was here to teach the android some skills needed to protect him.
"It's all here." Stark directed his helper, the robotic arm "Little Dumb," to bring over the necessary equipment. "These are all old stock that haven't been cleared out yet, so they're perfect for use now. There are all sorts of light firearms here, and the shooting range is ready. Seriously, Salomon, don't you really need a handgun? I can help you with the gun permit."
"I don't think I have time to train how to use a gun. Although I can hit a target ten meters away now, I'm definitely not as skilled as the agents," Salomon said, pointing to a metal target shaped like a human upper body not far away. These targets were fixed and looked uneven. They were often used by Stark to test the weapons of his Iron Man armor. Recently, Tony Stark acquired a large number of Chitauri remains. Through reverse engineering, he deciphered some of the technology, which led to his Iron Man armor technology being updated and iterated at an extremely rapid pace. This shooting range was also being used more and more frequently.
The sorcerer extended a finger, and a beam of flame struck the bullseye of the ten-meter stationary target with pinpoint accuracy, leaving virtually no flaws except for the splashing flames. He spread his hands towards Stark, indicating that he didn't need the pistol. Stark could only admit that this little rascal certainly enjoyed provoking people.
"Okay, ma'am, please feel free to choose your preferred weapon." Stark extended his hand, gesturing for the android to select from the weapon case—a wide variety of firearms, from semi-automatic to fully automatic, all hand-modified by a gunsmith (Stark himself), not the kind available on the market or issued to the military. In addition, there were some high-tech weapons that no one else could buy—such as the micro-missiles Stark used in his Iron Man armor; with Miss Potts' approval, these weapons were also brought out from the warehouse.
"I think the miniature missiles can be mounted on two other constructs." The arcane mage pointed to two incomplete constructs lying next to the firing range. These two constructs were similar to the ones he had assembled before, but instead of using the Lightning Bolt Wand for power, they used the magic stored in Salomon directly. Therefore, the attack methods of these two constructs had to be enhanced.
"Isn't this for your AI?" Stark frowned. He had examined the android's stats. Aside from Salomon's twisted sense of humor, the android's reaction speed wasn't exaggerated, but its strength was enough to lift a heavy jeep—thanks to the alchemical skeleton. He believed this strength would significantly increase the android's ammunition capacity, making one android's firepower enough to suppress a reinforced company.
Kosalomon didn't seem satisfied with these weapons. Although the android Dina, aided by the magic core, could quickly adjust her trajectory and firing posture, and her accuracy was very consistent, he didn't want an assault android, but rather one that could protect him. "Remember the order I gave you? I paid with gold," he said. "These weapons are all usable, but I still want that thing to be the android's primary weapon."
"Weren't those things for your other two robots?" Stark's eyes widened. "Those things are ridiculous. Jarvis, is Salomon Damonette's order complete?"
"It's finished, sir. But those weapons aren't suitable for creatures of human size."
"I think we all know that. Here, Jarvis, our customer insists on using it. Get the testing done as soon as possible, then get on your motorcycle, and I'll take you somewhere. A place where you can enjoy a normal life."
