Chapter 414 The Most Terrible Torture in the World

Chapter 414 The Most Terrible Torture in the World (First Update)

Based on Agent Coulson's own experience, missions involving Salomon Damonette usually ended poorly. Just like this time, both Sif and Lorelei had vanished without a trace. Agent Coulson was even concerned about the relationship between Asgard and Earth when he was informed by his superiors that the mission had been reassigned. Agent Coulson had no objections; he knew the next mission would be much more troublesome, and Salomon Damonette's stubborn nature made him difficult to reason with.

Agent Natasha Romanoff has really worked hard.

Salomon also felt he had suffered greatly. He barely managed to escape after agreeing to Joan of Arc and Bayonetta's request to go shopping, and then he eagerly opened a portal to the Immortal City. The newly captured prisoner was far too important; he couldn't bear to let this enchantress die before achieving his goals. Lorelei was currently imprisoned in a basement of the Immortal City, a room accessible only to him and his android maid.

"Good heavens, can't you cooperate a little?" Salomon sighed, releasing the collar that had sealed Lorelei's abilities. The retracted metal bars allowed Lorelei to speak again, but the freed Lorelei remained silent, glaring angrily at Salomon—for the sorcerer had not only sealed her abilities with the collar but also used dark magic to shackle her hands and feet to the rough wall. This magic had stripped her of her powerful physique and strength as an Asgardian, leaving her incredibly weak; the once-femme fatale was now a pitiful creature deprived of her freedom and power.

"Aren't you going to say anything?"

"There's no need," Lorelei said calmly. "Unless you give me back my clothes. Or do you prefer to enjoy a woman who can't move? Then put me down, and I can satisfy you. Any position is fine, because you've already captured me, and I'm your trophy. You can do whatever you want with me."

"I haven't stooped that low, Ms. Lorelei. I'm just trying to prevent you from escaping," Salomon said. "How about this: listen to my plan, and then I'd like to discuss some terms. If you agree, I'll let you go."

Lorelei didn't ask the stupid question, "What will happen if I disagree?"

In truth, she was somewhat curious about Salomon, a sorcerer who dared to defy the Asgardians, and she was also certain that while she wouldn't suffer too much harm, she would still be subjected to some degree of humiliation. She didn't mind at all, because physical contact and intimacy meant she might be able to conquer him. If voices and sweet kisses didn't work, then her alluring magic and incredibly seductive flesh would surely prevail—since she had defied the Asgardians, it meant this sorcerer had plans for her, and these plans might be extremely important, so important that she had no choice but to turn against the Asgardians.

Once she succeeds, everything will become clear.

"Where's Sif?" she asked gleefully. "You didn't lock her up somewhere too, did you?"

"She's already returned to Asgard, so we need to hurry." Salomon released the dark magic binding Lorelei. The sorceress, after falling from the wall, didn't bother to cover herself; instead, she walked confidently towards Salomon. The sorcerer tensed, ready to attack, but the naked Lorelei simply walked past him and sat down on the soft chair that belonged to Salomon in the room.

This alluring woman who had captivated kings and manipulated empires seemed to have regained her former charm. In the dark room, the orange-yellow light illuminated only her arms and long hair. She lightly crossed her legs, rested her chin on her hand, and let her long, orange-red curly hair cascade lazily over her shoulders, radiating a warm glow along with her fair skin.

"I can hear your story. You've proven your strength, and it seems we share a common enemy." She hooked the hem of Salomon's robe with her toe and chuckled. "Only a few men can resist my power, and you are one of them. Though you are rude, barbaric, and lack humor (referring specifically to the German back throw), I don't mind negotiating with you on equal footing. Warrior, we can do other things first and then consider how to rule this country. I want to be your queen."

Salomon laughed. Having passed the witch's test, this level of temptation meant little to him, and he had already prepared a pile of social science books from Darcy. "Very well, let's start with *A Treatise on American Democracy*, and then we'll look at *An Outline of Modern Western Philosophy*," he said. "After reading these, we can probably begin to discuss how to govern a country."

Lorelei's expression turned somewhat grim.

"Is there a problem? Do you think ruling a country for a long time is such a simple matter?"

"I just..."

"After that, we'll need to look at Microeconomics and Monetary Economics. I know what you're thinking; you've never really understood how money works. If you want to be in charge here, this knowledge is essential."

"I……"

"The ninth edition of Political Science is also good; I've added it to my reading list as well."

"..."

"This dress is nice." Although Salomon experienced the typical male symptom of leg weakness in a shopping street, he quickly relaxed in front of the champagne served by the clothing store staff and began to apply the aesthetic sense cultivated by Athena. He was referring to the white dress in the style of a long trench coat, which not only fit the witch's figure perfectly but also accentuated Joan of Arc's elegant temperament with its cinched waist.

However, because of Joan of Arc's tightly tied white hair bun, Salomon chose a red earring to match and emphasize it.

As for Bayonetta's outfit, Salomon chose a long, slender black dress paired with a loose-fitting white long-sleeved shirt. The cinched waist not only accentuated Bayonetta's long legs, but the black choker and the tilted black wide-brimmed hat further emphasized her swan-like graceful neck.

The witches were extremely satisfied with Salomon's sense of style; considering the average price of $500 to $700 per garment, the outfit was quite good. However, Joan of Arc seemed to want to challenge Salomon a bit more, desiring a more French-inspired look. So Salomon dressed Joan in a hat with a narrower brim and a vintage black mesh veil, giving her a distinctly 20th-century French appearance.

This retro trend was started by Chanel in the 80s, so it's not surprising that Salomon knows about it.

In Salomon's view, choosing clothes was far more difficult than scientific research in the Immortal City, especially since the witches were not very satisfied with Chanel's recent styles (referring to the last five years). This task was even more difficult than educating Lorelei. He had to draw upon all the aesthetic sense he had cultivated under Athena to create outfits for the picky witches.

Fortunately, the witches' next stop was a high-end clothing store, where they only bought everyday clothes.

The tailors of the high-end clothing store will solve all the witches' problems, and the witches will become the most beautiful women at the art salon hosted by Athena.

His thoughts drifted back to the Immortal City.

Before Lorelei's mind is completely destroyed, Salomon doesn't believe she will reveal any technological information about Asgard—once he asks, Lorelei will know what Salomon's purpose is, and then that stunningly beautiful enchantress will dominate the negotiations.

Therefore, Salomon would never inquire without certainty. Tomorrow, he would return to the Immortal City to check on Lorelei's progress, demanding that she write several papers—and Salomon would obtain the intelligence when Lorelei's studies collapsed.

"Damn it!" Lorelei scratched her head. "Is currency really that complicated? All I want is to be a queen!"
