Chapter 442 Moving

Chapter 442 Moving (First Update)

Regardless of the psychological impact on Laura Crawford, after politely escorting her back to her lodgings, Salomon intended to discuss changing accommodations with the witches. However, before he could even begin the discussion, Bayonetta made her move. She shoved Salomon onto the sofa, and before he could react, the witch gracefully straddled his waist with her long legs.

She pressed her palm against Salomon's chest, while her other hand slowly rose along the perfect curves of her body. When her fingers touched his smooth, luscious lips, the witch let out a long, almost imperceptible sigh (don't forget, Bayonetta had already removed her battle suit at this point). In the few seconds it took Jeanne to change, Salomon succumbed without resistance. Only when Bayonetta felt the aroused body beneath her did the cunning witch begin her interrogation.

"You naughty boy." Bayonetta narrowed her eyes, gently swaying her slender waist. "How are you going to take advantage of poor Laura Crawford this time? Or are you just looking for a gentle lover to dump me like leftover jam? I think Laura Crawford has a nice figure, don't you have some ideas about her too?"

"Because...cough cough, because Laura Crawford is involved with a god." Salomon couldn't hold back any longer and revealed the truth to Bayonetta. The witch, knowing all of Salomon's quirks, rewarded the sorcerer appropriately, encouraging him to continue. "Kukulkan!" Under repeated provocation, Salomon uttered the name. "Laura Crawford's fate is intertwined with the feathered serpent god. Before the Aztec dragons unleashed the great flood, she had the power to expose the serpent's weakness!"

"Oh? So you're preparing to slay a dragon? And what did you foresee?" Bayonetta provoked her captive slightly. Salomon blushed and stammered, refusing to speak. Dina walked past expressionlessly. She was very familiar with this scene and knew that her master was merely enjoying himself. Once he finished, his attention would shift to what truly mattered.

She quietly passed by, taking the Cheshire Cat with her to keep the silly cat from bothering its owner.

Bayonetta, wrapped in a blanket, sat on the sofa with Salomon watching television, while Dinah brought them dinner. Joan thoughtfully made room for Salomon and Bayonetta. If the wait hadn't been so long and dinner time hadn't arrived, she probably wouldn't have left the bedroom at all.

But Salomon remained close to Bayonetta.

Salomon explained the relocation to the witches, explaining that it wasn't suitable for them to live with ordinary people. Aside from the Sisterhood's efforts to ensure his safety, both he and the witches were special individuals; the magic emanating from them would inevitably cause trouble in this almost vacuum-like magical environment, with magical creatures being a prime example.

The Scottish Isaacsons are rare, kind magical creatures, but if these little guys are seen by someone they don't want to see, they'll rob that unfortunate soul of their sight. Now, there are several Isaacson elves in this apartment who help with cleaning, and Salomon rewards these little creatures in their flowery dresses with poisonous mushroom juice. In return, his bookshelves are filled with small gifts from the Isaacsons.

However, the majority of magical creatures were still unpleasant; for example, small fire elementals would often jump out of the kitchen, and Dina once slammed one to death in a basin of water. She also had to occasionally use a broom to chase away the uninvited troublemakers, the Pixies. But to avoid causing trouble for Salomon, Dina would sometimes leave a small bucket of water at the apartment door so the Pixies could wash their babies and also provide them with a place to hold parties and dances.

(The Cheshire Cat was a regular at Pickle's parties, and it had a very good relationship with Isaacson.)

The Cheshire Cat once killed a Mexican hairy hand, and Salomon then forced it to brush its teeth. Although that hairy hand ended up in Salomon's glass jar as research material, these creatures are extremely difficult for ordinary people to deal with. If Salomon hadn't strengthened the surrounding magical defenses, these bizarre events would have continued.

Moreover, even if his protective magic remained effective, New York City itself was not a safe place.

Half of the world's stupid villains are concentrated here; it's better to leave New York now and find a nicer place. Salomon already had an idea—Laura's family owns three separate estates, two of which are managed by the National Trust. He plans to talk to Laura in a while and see if he can buy one of the estates as a residence.

In addition, Salomon also set his sights on a manor house on the banks of the Thames in Whitchurch, Oxfordshire, overlooking the Thames and the surrounding beautiful scenery. He only learned about the manor house after hearing his classmates mention it at an afternoon tea party. The 125-acre manor house also had a horse farm where Pegasus could run freely.

A price of ten million pounds was still within Salomon's budget. However, he had alternatives for Bayonita to choose from, such as the extremely beautiful Tillingham Estate in Buckinghamshire, priced at eighteen million pounds, or Danshall Estate with its excellent garden views, priced at five million pounds.

Salomon never skimped on spending money on life, because beauty only truly blossoms when money is involved. In any case, the days for house hunting were approaching, and even Joan of Arc, who had initially dismissed Salomon's suggestions, began selecting estates with scenic views.

"I think we can buy a house in Positano," Joan of Arc said, unconsciously including Salomon in the list. "It's always depressing in England; I want to see the Sirens' coast."

"no problem."

"Mont Saint-Michel in France! And the French Riviera in Monaco!" The witches excitedly discussed their travel plans, completely forgetting about Salomon. They were all racing enthusiasts and were now planning to go to Northern Europe to challenge extreme sports and see the Northern Lights, so Salomon's Ducati was naturally requisitioned.

"Let's take a look at the estate first, ladies," Salomon said. "Let's go sightseeing while we're restoring the estate."

------------

News of the attack on the U.S. Air Force base has spread among some people, especially since it's located on the East Coast, which has caused considerable alarm among White House officials. The incident has been classified as a terrorist attack. Unlike an alien invasion, this attack was unexpected by none of the following agencies: the CIA, DIA, NSA, NRA, Air Force Intelligence Agency, Marine Corps Intelligence Office, Intelligence Analysis Office, Intelligence and Counterintelligence Office, National Security Division, and Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.

Regardless of casualties, the missing nuclear warhead was extremely dangerous. No one knew whether the attackers intended to blackmail the United States with the warhead or simply wanted to detonate it in a city. The White House couldn't even rule out espionage by a hostile nation, and international tensions suddenly escalated.

The White House didn't know who the enemy was, only that the enemy was right under its nose. Although White House officials tried to get S.H.I.E.L.D. to investigate the matter, Nick Fury hesitated before refusing—his usual practice was to investigate despite White House objections. But this matter was indeed unrelated to him; he was certain it had nothing to do with the mysterious organization he was investigating. However, he inadvertently missed a crucial piece of intelligence.

This crucial intelligence kept one person awake at night; in fact, he was the one who actively opposed S.H.I.E.L.D.'s involvement in the investigation.

Gideon Malik, the former U.S. representative to the World Security Council, received that crucial message.

The missing nuclear warhead was the one he had urged to launch during the Battle of New York!

The Avengers are going to get revenge on him! No, it's S.H.I.E.L.D.! Nick Fury has discovered Alexander Pierce's Hydra organization! S.H.I.E.L.D. has traced him to him, and they're conducting indiscriminate attacks!
