Chapter 484 Information Anxiety Syndrome

Chapter 484 Information Anxiety Syndrome (First Update)

"Oh! Pampered little girl!" Ekaterina had beautiful, deep blue eyes, but her voice was completely ruined; every word she spoke was raspy and hoarse, like an old witch from a fairy tale. When she held the blunt training sword to Tatiana's neck, her voice was enough to frighten a child to tears.

Ekaterin's face was unharmed, but her back, hidden beneath her training uniform, was covered in deep whip marks. Like Tatiana, her long, dark hair was braided into a thick plait that hung over her shoulders. She was second in her class, with scores nearly identical to Tatiana's in both shooting and close combat. However, Ekaterin's life had not been as fortunate. This girl from Hungary had suffered extremely severe abuse; she had once entertained ten clients simultaneously in one night, her throat was completely destroyed, and she had even suffocated and fainted at one point.

Yekaterin lost her fertility, and her limbs were broken due to cruel abuse.

She was not only played with by humans, but dogs and horses also tasted her body under the influence of villains.

After that night, the flames of revenge ignited in her heart. Just before she was to be sent to film a graphic, erotic movie, the androids rescued her from a cage filled with vicious dogs. The arrival of the Sorority added fuel to the fire, and the burning flames of revenge fueled her rigorous training. Wakanda's medical technology cured the disease that had nearly corroded her, and alchemical potions restored her to full health and strength. Her limbs were repaired, her wounds were stitched up, and she became the most fanatical trainee and the most devout in her faith.

God did not save her; it was the sorority that saved her. It was her God who sent angels with steel wings to save her.

She disliked the aloof Tatiana. Ekaterina believed that if she hadn't suffered so much abuse that her physical abilities couldn't compare to Tatiana's, the first place should have belonged to her. The deeper reason, however, was Ekaterina's jealousy of Tatiana and her inferiority complex in the face of someone so pure.

She considered herself impure and believed she had to fight tooth and nail to earn the right to serve Him. The girl, however, was fortunate enough to be pure enough. She felt the girl's suffering was insufficient to earn His favor, a sentiment that drove her to relentlessly challenge Tatiana. This time, Catherine succeeded.

Taking advantage of the moment when Tatiana's training sword was blocked, Ekaterina turned sideways and used the hilt of her sword to smash the blonde girl's face, followed by a hard kick to her side. Tatiana immediately fell to the ground, and a bruise appeared on the girl's face. She clutched her stomach and curled up in pain, but her other hand still did not let go of the sword.

"Consider this an insult you inflicted on me during CQB training," Ekaterina said softly, twirling her sword. "I don't need you to remind me; I can do it myself."

Tatiana clutched her stomach and used her training sword for support as she got up.

"Pah! Is that so?" Tatiana spat out a mouthful of blood-tinged saliva. Her mouth was congested with blood, and the sharp pain immediately overwhelmed the discomfort in her abdomen. She stepped forward, seething with anger, ready to retaliate. She was furious at her own carelessness. This morning's events had occupied most of her mind, because she couldn't remember what the person she'd encountered looked like. Before she could go to Vera to confirm if the same thing had happened, Ms. Tita's demonstration was already over, and Tatiana realized she had definitely missed something.

Tita observed all of this coldly, making no attempt to stop it. After each day's training, the girls had to take potions to heal their injuries. Therefore, any training movements that didn't lead to disability or death were permitted in the training ground. Moreover, the new members needed to compete with each other, so they wouldn't undergo too many modifications. The electronic muscle bundles built into their power armor couldn't replace their reaction speed; this subconscious combat reflex could only be developed in the training ground.

But all competition was confined to the training grounds and on paper. Dita didn't understand why her master required the girls to study Shakespeare, or why he built a library for them, but that didn't stop her from understanding that only the most outstanding individuals were qualified to wear power armor, wield longswords, and serve the monarch.

Salomon certainly wouldn't say that he was trying to catch up with the classical literature major's studies, and that he still had the capacity to study unrelated subjects while learning physics. To gain the approval of professors in two different disciplines, Salomon deliberately used extremely complicated and affected vocabulary in his writing to demonstrate that he indeed possessed this ability.

In fact, before he rashly applied to join this specialized course, he already possessed a certain level of knowledge in classical literature. From a young age, he received the most authoritative education in his field, which focuses on the literature, history, philosophy, linguistics, and archaeology of ancient Greece and Rome. Just as Jesus not only taught the Jewish elders, but also in turn taught them, Salomon did the same in his field of classical literature.

How authoritative are they? No one in the world is more authoritative than the Olympian gods.

Athena laughed heartily upon hearing Salomon's complaints, comparing his intrusion into the Classics department to a buffalo seeking out lush pastures on its own. After the professors reached a consensus, Salomon took advantage of the holidays to participate in a private joint examination. This exam covered Classics, Physics, Mathematics, Politics, Economics, Philosophy, and Linguistics, lasting three full days and taking place in an entire floor of the Ritz Hotel, which Salomon had funded.

Champagne and gourmet food were plentiful; otherwise, the professors wouldn't have agreed. The Ritz Hotel is extremely expensive; Salomon paid a hefty price for it.

After the test, each professor changed their opinion of Salomon. They believed that Salomon's mind was like a vast, radiant machine, endlessly absorbing knowledge from all directions, and they could genuinely feel his hunger for knowledge. He was also like a printing press, using paper to carry his boundless thoughts. After this, Salomon gained the right to converse freely with almost every professor in the PEE (Professional Education) field.

They didn't know where Salomon learned his knowledge, or why someone like him would be unknown in his childhood. Some even invited Salomon to have an MRI scan because they believed that Salomon's brain was absolutely extraordinary.

----------

Having just finished teaching, Salomon packed up his blackboard and books, dusted off his arms with chalk, and planned to indulge in a hearty meal as lunchtime approached. To his left sat a beautiful English teapot, and teacups and trays were placed in front of Wanda and Pietro. Salomon wouldn't mistreat his students; even if a student's level wasn't great, afternoon tea was still provided. At the same time, there were also many English desserts to make up for the hardship of the lesson.

Wanda was clearly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information in class, and Salomon looked at her sympathetically. Pietro, too, was experiencing similar symptoms. This phenomenon was common, especially among mathematics students. Overwhelming one's knowledge at once often caused dizziness and vomiting. Salomon had experienced it firsthand, though his condition was far more severe; the psychological damage was enough to drive someone insane, and most people wouldn't survive such physical harm.

It's not surprising that anyone who's been bombarded with lessons from equations to linear algebra within hours would end up like this. Pietro uses his superpowers to learn, while Wanda is forced by Salomon to confront the orb he presents and understand the mathematical principles behind the spell.

"In the past, I deliberately slowed down my learning pace to hide my difference from those around me. But now, I don't need to hide anymore, so neither do you," the sorcerer said. "I'm simply using the speed at which I learned magic. You still have a lot to learn, so try your best to keep up. Oh! Pietro, I know what you're trying to say."

Salomon wagged his finger at Pietro. "I don't doubt your revenge will succeed, but I also need to consider your future."

Dressed in his robes, Salomon truly resembled a conscientious university professor, easily overshadowing his youthful appearance. "Get into a good university, get a scholarship, tuition won't be a problem," he said. "Revenge isn't everything. I think your parents will be happy to see your future achievements. Pietro, have some tea, it'll make you feel better. Wanda, study hard, because you'll be studying both magic and science."
