Chapter 513 Problem-Solving Methods and Dealing with Those Who Raise Problems (Second Update)
Wakanda possesses technology that surpasses that of other countries in the world by nearly a thousand years. While boasting advanced technology, its domestic infrastructure is also highly developed. However, the country faces a critical population problem. Even if every citizen were to join the research and production teams, it would still be unable to meet the massive design and production needs of the Immortal City.
The Quinjet needed modification, the Skycarrier needed modification, the Supersonic Quinjet needed modification, and weapons and firearms needed modification. Everything required researchers and workers, and even the most secretive and unknown biological laboratories had projects outsourced. With Salomon's extravagant spending, those pharmaceutical companies and physics labs were working overtime non-stop to complete some minor tasks.
However, there are indeed a few geniuses in this world who can solve problems. After discussing with Salomon, Su Rui decided to adopt a modular design approach—entering all design schemes into a database, then combining them according to requirements, and finally modifying them. This process of combination and modification, while continuously adding new designs to the database, would be repeated. Designing new products through extensive computation could significantly save manpower while preserving the creativity of geniuses. This approach was only suitable for the mechanical field; the research results from the biological laboratory were too chaotic to be entered into the database.
The portable warming device carried by this expedition team came about from this. This small, electric hand warmer is extremely effective, and its designer was a researcher from a white ape tribe who studied with the black panther tribe two hundred years ago. If Shu Rui hadn't entered the design file into the database, no one would have known about this solution. The anti-gravity snowmobile used in the expedition was based on an anti-gravity vehicle used by the Wakanda Royal Guard, which achieved functionality and reduced costs by miniaturizing the engine. The base was constructed from the framework of several prefabricated houses used by Wakanda during relocation, allowing for rapid deployment. With a vibranium power source, solar panels, and a geostationary satellite overhead, the expedition members could even receive television signals via an antenna if needed.
Of course, the production capacity issue remains unresolved. Wakanda, a small country with a small population, has no need for large-scale production of high-tech products. However, King T'Chaka has also foreseen the future and has arranged for the new production lines to begin operation, taking a step into the international system before officially opening up to the outside world.
For example, picometer-scale lithography machines, which defy the laws of macroscopic physics, are considered Wakanda's national treasure, on par with vibranium, and absolutely cannot be allowed to leave the country. What they create isn't even called a transistor; Salomon had no idea how far the Wakanda had progressed in the quantum realm.
Sometimes he thinks the universe is just too outrageous, how could such a thing be created!
Then he thought of Stark.
Okay, that's it. There's nothing he can do about this absurd universe.
Wakandan aircraft, equipped with scanners, have now flown to the location designated by Princess Shuri for reconnaissance. Everyone else is stuck in the temporary base with nothing to do, except for Salomon, who's jet-lagged and still fast asleep. He's incredibly busy; his Oxford course requires him to write an article for each class. Even now, on holiday, he has to write a certain number of articles and participate in research at Jane Foster's institute. And even if he doesn't write articles, there's a mountain of work to do in the Immortal City.
Agent Victoria Hand is currently vying with Coulson's team for Marcus Daniel, whom Salomon specifically requested. Salomon is unaware of the potential conflict that will erupt between the two sides. He has no time to concern himself with it; he and Stephanie have taken care of all the arrangements for Hand's department. He only needs to give the order, and Agent Victoria Hand will naturally fulfill it. The special operations team's ostensible mission is to capture the escaped Hydra agent, but their real mission is to carry out Salomon's orders—Agent Coulson is now mistaken for a Hydra agent, giving Stephanie a pretext to hunt him down, allowing Hand's team to participate in the capture of the real Hydra agent, Grant Ward.
However, Salomon was awakened by his cell phone ringing not long after he fell asleep. It was a satellite phone used by the Wakandas. He answered it, listened to a few words with a frown, and then hung up.
"What happened?" Su Rui asked. Her eyes were red; while Salomon was resting, she had been using scanned maps of the terrain beneath the ice cap to determine the meteorite's landing location. Before setting out, Salomon had used magic to question the water and earth elemental lords of the elemental planes, defining the search area. This mental connection was harmful, causing temporary damage to his sanity. Furthermore, the answers he received were merely vague phrases and words, and the responses weren't necessarily accurate. Some elemental lords would honestly admit they didn't know, some would lie, and some would even fabricate an answer to deceive him.
Choosing the right answer is a true test of the spellcaster's intelligence. To obtain an accurate answer, the only likely option is to consult the Vishanti. However, the cost of that spell is too high; the caster's intelligence might temporarily drop below that of an average person (to 8), lasting for 35 days. Salomon refused to cast it under any circumstances.
"Agent Hand said there was a minor problem at the mission site, and she'll write a full report for me." Salomon put his phone aside again, then pulled his head back in, leaving only his dark eyes looking outside. From Su Rui's perspective, all he could see was a large quilt and a pair of eyes glowing in the darkness.
"What went wrong? And who is Agent Hand?"
"You didn't know? You're the head of development!" Salomon exclaimed in surprise. "I remember you signed the 'Light Vehicle Repair and Priority Supply Regulations' document! Agent Hand is the head of the special operations team, didn't you know that?"
"You mean those documents written on parchment with badges on them?" Princess Surrey thought for a few seconds, then raised her voice. "I thought they were routine reports, so I just signed them! Who told you to design so many badges? I couldn't tell them apart at all! I signed several of those documents, like that 'Experimental Weapons Supply Authorization'!"
"The development department's emblem is a gear, and the special operations team's emblem is a skull and wings!" Salomon poked his head out from under the covers. Although there was a humidifier in the room, it was just too dry, and static electricity was impossible to prevent. He shook his hair, which clung to the blankets. "Do you remember what you gave them?"
"They're just some experimental weapons." Princess Shuri suddenly panicked. "But they're still unstable! You need to recall them immediately!"
"What experimental weapon?"
"Plasma weapons!" Su Rui said hurriedly, "However, the thermal pressure, electrostatic force, and magnetic force in plasma are unstable, and the problems of sound waves, electromagnetic waves, and various coupled waves have not yet been fully resolved. To this day, there are still problems such as density gradients, the existence of external magnetic fields, and spatial inhomogeneity of velocity."
"What does this mean?"
"Simply put, in order to solve the complex nonlinear phenomena such as spiraling, magnetic tearing, and plasma turbulence caused by nonlinear wave disturbances, uh... I slightly increased the output power."
"How big can it be?" Salomon crawled out of bed.
"It's about the size of a suitcase-sized nuclear bomb, with a direct kill radius of approximately 400 meters."
"SHIT!" Salomon dialed back, but no one answered. He quickly put on his slingshot ring, opened a portal, and jumped over in his pajamas.
He thought Agent Hand could solve the problem with a simple dump truck, but now it seems that if they had arrived any later, Agent Hand and Agent Coulson would have been in big trouble!
