Chapter 707 Optimistic Spirit (First Update)

Dr. Hank Pym, one of Salomon's most valued scientists, was willing to agree to many conditions to get Dr. Pym to work for him. However, Salomon knew perfectly well that the damned old man would never agree to such a thing, so he turned to Pym Technology's "cold storage."

It houses the results of Pym Technologies' research over the years, many of which were dangerous until they were fully perfected.

Following Darren Krause's disappearance and the Pym Technology explosion, the FBI attempted to investigate, but everyone knew how much foul play was involved. The WWII tank Dr. Pym had abandoned in the square, in particular, made some realize that "Pym Particles" could still be manufactured. Hank Pym had some connections with S.H.I.E.L.D. during Howard Stark's era, and politicians aware of this attempted to use the pretext of "investigating Hydra" to infiltrate the organization and seize classified technical information. Even if the information about Pym Particles, which Dr. Pym valued most, remained confidential, other advanced technologies buried in the "cold storage" might be compromised.

That's why Salomon proposed an air raid to completely destroy any trace of the "cold storage" with an explosion.

At least those criminals valued human life, while these guys could disregard the lives of all their employees to protect certain secrets.

The arcane sorcerer's extended senses detected Scott Lang's terror and Hope's anxiety; he could read their minds without needing to use mind-reading. "What the hell is going on with you guys?" Salomon had to raise his voice. "You're the heiress to Pym Technologies, Ms. Dane. Would you rather watch those employees die than give them a few days off? Or are you thinking about the stock (referring to the post-bombing stock price drop)? Pym Technologies' stock price is already in terrible shape!"

"Sorry, I just thought..." Hope blushed with embarrassment.

"Do you really think I'd drop a heavy bomb on a target while everyone's still at work?"

"No, I just..."

"Aerial bombs can't destroy the 'cold storage'," Dr. Pym calmly interrupted Salomon, preventing him from further harassing his daughter. "I designed it myself. Not only is it buried deep underground, but it's also protected by concrete and steel walls. An explosion alone can't completely erase all the technical data."

"How about using bunker buster bombs? Nuclear aerial bombs—I personally have considerable expertise in hydrogen bomb development. I can deploy five clean nuclear bombs at once. You just need to tell me the location of the 'cold storage,' and I can completely solve the problem with five simultaneous and incredibly precise small clean nuclear explosions. Please decide quickly; none of us want that technology to fall into the hands of the US government. Only Scott Lang burst into uncontrollable laughter, earning him disdainful looks from both father and daughter. He managed to suppress his laughter, then gave Salomon an indescribable look.

He now knew what kind of websites Salomon frequented, because he was a loyal user of spam sites too. "I like this guy. He has a great sense of humor!" He raised an eyebrow. "Hey, Salomon! Want to grab a beer?"

"There's a gay bar about a ten-minute drive away, but if we need to go to the bathroom after we finish drinking, it might take two hours."

"Hahahahaha!"

Salomon and Scott burst into laughter, high-fiving each other. Scott knew he had gained a new friend. The two then devoured all the premium beers in Dr. Pym's fridge, their absurdity completely unchecked by Dr. Pym and Hope, who were busy preparing for their upcoming work. They talked about many things, including Scott Lang's relationship with his ex-wife and daughter. The sorcerer promised to take Scott Lang to a Dita Von Teese show, believing that Scott Lang needed a "bachelor's night" after his release. However, this plan was ruthlessly thwarted by the hastily arriving Hope Dane, who secretly hinted that Scott Lang might not be single anymore, and that it was best not to let his father know.

Hank Pym, furious, kicked them both out, saying he "didn't want to see this idiot."

However, before Salomon stepped out the door, Dr. Pym handed a document to the arcane mage, and Hope Dane also arranged a time for the airstrike with Salomon. She needed to find an excuse to clear out the entire Pym Technologies office building to create an opportunity for the arcane mage to launch the airstrike.

"That's it. First, we need to infiltrate Pym Technologies' 'cold storage' and take everything out of there. I also need you to get into Pym Technologies' server room, insert a USB drive with a Trojan program, and the IT department will launch a cyber intrusion to seize all the experimental data. Finally, assault transport ships carrying bunker buster bombs will take off from the East Coast to completely destroy all the evidence."

He used his magical avatar on Earth to express his interest in visiting Pym Technologies' "cold storage."

"All the high-tech civilizations in the universe can't compare to Earth," he said. "Earthlings always manage to create things beyond imagination. Do you know how terrifying that is for a scientist?"

"It's alright, this universe is just that bad." Salomon shrugged. "I don't know why those aliens always want to come to the edge of the Milky Way to invade such a backward planet. Do they still need oil after they get electric propulsion?"

"My Lord, the jokes you told today went a bit too far."

"I know, but we always need some optimism when facing a dark future." Salomon's smile vanished. "Laugh while we can, especially since I have to face this future for thousands of years. Isn't this just as painful as sitting in front of a computer eating high-calorie foods, getting obese, enduring the friction between fat cells causing inflammation, and eventually being too fat to stand up and having to sit in a NEET chair to poop?"
