Chapter 770 The Secret of the Giant Stone

Chapter 770 The Secret of the Giant Stone (Second Update)

After Mike left, Stephanie continued to stare at the timer in her helmet.

She showed no sign of impatience; rather, it was the two assault team members beside her who were growing impatient, their fingers frequently hovering over the triggers of their chainsaw sword and bomb pistol. Their aggression was palpable even under their helmets, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents instinctively kept their distance. While they had no complaints about their orders to "remain at the base to protect Stephanie and the teleportation circle," they still yearned for the glory of fighting alongside their sovereign.

From the day they were rescued from hell by angels with steel wings, they had longed to make their ultimate sacrifice for their monarch on the battlefield of fire and blood. Now that opportunity was within reach, yet they were to remain in this place, alongside their weak and incompetent secret agents.

"There will be that opportunity," the woman leading the group said. Stephanie didn't have direct authority to command the sorority, so the girls didn't really obey her orders. Only homunculus beings, creations of the monarch, could become their leaders. Hearing the woman leading the group say this, the young girls reluctantly calmed down—compared to the girls who later joined, who were sold as commodities and abused like livestock, the homunculus beings were, in some ways, more composed because they understood Salomon better.

The sorority channeled their hatred and rage, forging those broken girls into a sword of faith. But weapons must eventually be used, and once the girls became full members, they were eager to participate in the brutal war, rather than the petty task of cleaning up gangsters.

Stephanie discovers that electricity is starting to emanate from above the glass magic incantation, and the readings of various monitoring devices are beginning to change.

She immediately informed the Sisterhood of the situation, and the assault team guarding her rushed over, aiming their explosive rifles at the airtight glass prefabrication room. Simultaneously, another assault team stormed into the enclosed megalithic workshop, followed by a heavy weapons team, ready to unleash flamethrowers. They couldn't be sure if the returning team was the Sisterhood or the parasite—Stephanie gasped nervously. This was the Malik family's best chance to clear their name. Only with the death of that Inhuman brachiopod called a god would Salomon truly trust the Malik family. Only then could the Malik family truly be incorporated into the Immortal City, and only then could she obtain a child with Salomon's blood.

This is key to the continuation of the Malik family.

A flash of electricity exploded through the helmet, and the electronic eye inside automatically dimmed.

The sorority's armed men nervously placed their fingers on the triggers, ready to fire at any moment.

Appearing inside the glass teleportation magic circle was a team of Sorority soldiers covered in dust. Standing outside the prefabricated airtight glass chamber, the soldiers used a megaphone inside to order those inside to remove their helmets and move away from their weapons. "The Σ (zeta) squad has arrived," the girl outside announced. "Proceed with the cleaning process. Sisters, remove your armor and weapons for disinfection and medical examinations."

The armed men of the Σ (zeta) squad nodded.

They entered a pre-arranged transparent room at the corner of the disinfection corridor, and, under the watchful eyes of others, followed procedures and helped each other remove their power armor. They then entered another room, removed their remaining clothing, and one by one entered a disinfection chamber equipped with showerheads. There, they would be cleaned with disinfectant, and all waste would be collected and disposed of centrally. The girls guarding the facility at the entrance pointed their guns outside, preventing any SHIELD agents from approaching. They didn't want strangers seeing the women's bodies.

After a series of lengthy medical examinations, the Σ (zeta) team finally received their own towels and wrapped themselves in them. The ordinary human girls looked at their figures with envy—every curve of the android's body was designed by Salomon himself, showcasing the ultimate beauty of the female form at all times. Especially after showering with disinfectant, the water droplets sliding off their skin shimmered with a Venusian glow.

While they were conducting their checks, two other teams of sorority soldiers were going through the same procedures they had gone through. A girl who hadn't participated in the alien mission, armed with a bomb gun, escorted the group of beautiful androids wrapped in white towels as they swaggered down the corridor and onto the flight platform. They would be quarantined on the Retribution until they were cleared of suspicion, or until the Sovereign returned and personally approved them.

They also need to report their actions to Tita, keeping Ms. Tita informed of the mission's progress.

Having just finished Coulson's surgery, Mike was now in charge of coordinating various tasks for S.H.I.E.L.D. These women, wrapped only in towels, with stunning figures and reeking of disinfectant, certainly attracted the attention of a large number of agents. Mike sighed deeply and then dialed Stephanie's number.

"Yes, it seems the mission is complete," Stephanie said cheerfully.

"What about Fitz and Simmons? Where are they?"

"Leopold Fitz has been brought out and is currently undergoing examination, although he is somewhat agitated. He jumped onto that planet without airtight equipment, and we will not allow him to leave the quarantine room unless we rule out the possibility that he is infected."

"Very well, then..."

"Other matters are secrets of the Immortal City and cannot be disclosed."

"Could I see Fitz?"

"Yes, but only in an airtight room."

Mike hung up the phone and called to Barbara, who was so exhausted from surgery that she could barely keep her eyes open. "I'm sorry, but today's events weren't very kind to your operated knee," he said. "But Fitz was brought out; he might have something he wants us to know."

"It's alright, Mike. There were a lot of unexpected things happening today." Barbara waved her hand and said, head down, "Let's hear what he has to say. I think those guys are interested in hearing his side of the story."

"He's a madman!" Mike nodded. The group leader was right; Fitz was indeed quite agitated. Wearing a hospital gown, Fitz paced back and forth in the room. "They dropped a hydrogen bomb before they even found Simmons, Mike!" he said. "He wanted to kill everyone!"

"Calm down, little monkey," Mike called Fitz by his nickname. "We don't know what dangers are on that planet, but I think the fact that Agent Coulson invited Salomon to help means that Coulson believes this is worth using a tactical nuclear weapon. Don't forget, their people are on that planet too; they're risking their lives to solve this problem."

“No, that’s not it, Mike,” Fitz said. “Agent Coulson didn’t invite them at all!”

"What does this mean, little monkey?"

"Salomon has manipulated Coulson's mind... He wants to kill what's on that planet. His mission isn't to save people, it's to kill! Mike, he wants something on that planet dead! This isn't the first time he's heard of that planet, that boulder; he knows a lot!"

"Do you know anything?"

"I...I don't know, but I have a clue." Fitz lowered his voice. "I'll tell you where that clue is. Go follow it, Mike. The secret of the Rock isn't that simple!"
