Salomon did not pursue the secret that the Venerable One was unwilling to reveal.

This wasn't entirely because he was an obedient child who followed the Venerable's instructions, but because he knew the Venerable wouldn't harm him. Salomon gladly accepted His Holiness's arrangement for him.

Baron Mordo had initially been somewhat displeased with Salomon's proposal to strengthen the dungeon's defenses and excavate new caves, but under Salomon's repeated insistence and persuasion, he reluctantly agreed. After all, it wasn't just enemies behind the veil who were attempting to invade the dungeon; Kamar-Taj in the real world faced just as many enemies.

The sorority, or more precisely, ten assault squads of androids, will monitor the construction progress. There are certain areas in Kamar-Taj's dungeons that are absolutely off-limits. They are responsible for guiding the First Secret Service into the right path when they get lost in the intricate dungeons during Fimbulwinter, to prevent them from stumbling into places they shouldn't be and causing unnecessary trouble that could lead to their deaths.

Had Baron Mordo not objected again, Salomon would have loved to install automatic machine gun sentry towers in the Kamar-Taj Library to monitor the apprentices' mental state. Despite Baron Mordo's objections, several well-crafted constructs were crammed into the library, as Salomon's idea had the support of His Holiness.

The core of these constructs was spirits summoned from the Veiled World. After being shattered, restored, and reforged, they entered into a pact with the land beneath their feet. This was not only to prevent the spirits from betraying them, but also to ensure the neutrality of these constructs in the future, preventing them from becoming tools of any fallen arcane mage. Of course, Salomon still retained ultimate control, as these constructs were all his creations—as possibly the most skilled alchemist in Kamar-Taj, creating such war equipment was not too difficult for him. However, he also incorporated scientific technology from the Martian Foundry, equipping the constructs with numerous terrifying experimental weapons to ensure that any anomalies occurring within the library could be dealt with smoothly.

Baron Mordo noticed Salomon's wariness of his arcane companion, which was what displeased him the most.

Even considering Baron Mordo's overly serious approach to matters, Salomon's expression of distrust towards arcane mages seemed excessive. However, he also knew that Salomon's choice was entirely based on rational judgment and was without fault, which ironically became Baron Mordo's reason for being angry with him, because he believed his character and manners were inadequate. He simply couldn't tell Salomon this; after all, he had watched Salomon grow up, and he couldn't bring himself to say such a thing. His Holiness will do his utmost to ensure a smooth transition of power in Kamar-Taj to Salomon, and Mordo's assistance will be indispensable in this endeavor.

Baron Mordo can be considered both a member of a mystical family and a self-taught mystic, and he is 100% loyal to the Venerable One. After Mordo conveyed the Venerable One's attitude to the mystical family, he himself had to accept the Venerable One's arrangements—although extradimensional invasions had occurred frequently in the past, such invasions and corruption would become more frequent and powerful in the future. Salomon's harsh methods and strict supervision, as one of the most correct measures, must be implemented; otherwise, Kamar-Taj itself would face an extremely powerful threat of corruption.

For an organization like Kamar-Taj that possesses vast amounts of extradimensional knowledge, the occurrence of an arcane sorcerer's corruption and fall would be extremely serious. Tools originally intended to combat extradimensional invasions would become weapons that aid corrupted spellcasters.

"You always think Salomon isn't doing enough," the Venerable One bluntly pointed out Mordo's problem. "In your eyes, Salomon is still that little troublemaker, forever far from being someone who takes responsibility."

“That’s not it, Your Excellency,” Mordo defended himself. “I just think Salomon went a bit too far.”

“I know that simply doing the right thing isn’t enough, and Salomon knows that being right alone won’t earn him love and support, but he did it anyway.” His Holiness sighed. “I need your support. If even Kamar-Taj, even you, aren’t on his side, then his ideals are destined to be isolated and helpless. I cannot allow that to happen, Mordo, his ideals are important.”

Regardless of Mordo's thoughts or the outcome of this conversation, Salomon will be the future ruler of Kamar-Taj. This also means that Kamar-Taj's methods will become extremely strict in order to cope with future situations. At the same time, His Holiness also wants to prevent his chief disciple from developing psychological issues—He requires Mordo to adjust his mindset and take all of Salomon's demands seriously, rather than placing himself in the position of an elder, because the psychological gap caused by this change could lead to internal division—the Sorcerer Supreme has lived for over a thousand years and has seen many similar things, even personally experiencing betrayal, as Camelot fell victim to it. Therefore, His Holiness must speak with Mordo to ensure that Mordo becomes Salomon's capable assistant rather than a traitor.
