Chapter 904 (Second Update)

Nick Fury was furious, but he had no choice but to obey Salomon's orders to allow the Sisterhood to take over the facility. To ensure the corridors were undefended, the Sisterhood and Martian foundry technicians had preemptively taken control of the central control and electrical systems, ensuring only certain parts were operational. Even so, the assault teams carried shields to ensure no bullet could hit their monarch.

“Why can’t you trust the Skrulls a little more, Salomon? They’re homeless now, and they’re serving in this organization that deals with supernatural threats, fighting for the safety of humanity.” On the way to Nick Fury’s office, the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. continued his nagging. “They’re not enemies, they’re a peaceful race just like the Asgardians. While there are people like Loki among the Asgardians, there are also people like Thor. Listen, we can handle this peacefully. Hey, quiet down, ma’am! They’re not criminals!”

"If you're pinning your hopes for the safety of the human race on the mercy of aliens, then we have nothing more to say." Salomon followed the sisters' escort team expressionlessly. Besides Nick Fury, there were also some Skrulls being escorted. The sorority's assault team was responsible for escorting this management group, and any suspicious movement would be met with a brutal counterattack. The female Skrull disguised as a human was slapped for initially trying to escape. Nick Fury foresaw all of this, but he insisted on doing it anyway because he didn't want Salomon to kill any of the humans or aliens present.

"I was handling other missions when my Royal Guard reported an alien invasion to me," Salomon said. "You have no idea how busy I am, or how urgent those missions were. If it weren't for finding out exactly how many aliens you brought to Earth, you'd be dead by now. I need to know everything, Nick Fury, because you broke your promise."

"See? I told you so! You're exactly like me, distrustful of everyone, always wanting to control everything. I now know how former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents felt. Agent Coulson must be glad he got rid of me." The former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. sighed. "I'll give you what you want, Salomon, but you'll give me what I want too. You know my ability to keep secrets; if I don't want to tell you, you won't get it even if you kill everyone here. By the way, is Agent Romanoff working for you now?"

“You’re still the same, Nick Fury,” the arcane mage said. The escort stopped in front of a door that required iris and fingerprint scanning to unlock. “Alright, open the office. Our administrators will find the intelligence,” he said. “We need to resolve this quickly; it’s been dragging on for years. Those Skrulls on Earth might have already given birth.”

Nick Fury opened the gates without much resistance, allowing the Immortal City administrators to rush in and begin their search.

"If you found those Skrulls, what would you do?" He was forced into a chair, Salomon sitting opposite him. "Kill them? Lock them up? Or use them for experiments?"

"Why can't all three things be done at once?" The arcane mage watched as the administrators began hacking into the space station's firewall, transmitting information to the Immortal City's server terminal, where intelligence personnel on Earth would then screen and relay the data, informing the administrators of the specific information needed. "I've repeated my bottom line more than once, and you know my decision won't change. The Immortal City will hunt down and exterminate all Skrulls on Earth, and the Skrulls in this space station will be imprisoned and interrogated—"

"—Finally, he'll be executed," Nick Fury said.

"Yes."

"Don't you think these Skrulls are of greater use?"

"The idea is tempting. Genetically and cognitively transformed beings are incredibly useful spies, but the way you've used these Skrulls is appalling. I suspect this organization existed before S.H.I.E.L.D. was destroyed, and your misappropriation of funds wasn't just for building secret bases around the world; the real drain on funds is this space station. Tell me, Nick Fury, how many Skrull agents have defected? Have you ever recovered them?"

"Are you already trying to trick girls into thinking you're going to fight a war?"

"Don't try to change the subject. We'll find out the identity of that corpse, and we'll also find out how many Skrulls ended up on Earth because of your negligence," Salomon said. "I'll be taking over this facility, and you'll be working with me. From now on, you'll be my subordinate. Happy? I got three sky battleships from S.H.I.E.L.D. during the Hydra rebellion, and now I'm getting a space station from you. You've been too good to me."

Through the armored glass of the office, a colossal, black object could be seen slowly gliding through the air, like a giant whale swimming in the dark depths of the sea. It was a sky battleship, modified by the Immortal City, its cannons now aimed at this space station, twice the length, width, and height of a sky carrier. With current human technology, building such a space station would require an enormous investment; only someone like Nick Fury, possessing alien technology and having embezzled vast sums of S.H.I.E.L.D. funds, could have accomplished it. However, he hadn't initially anticipated an attack on the space station, and thus, under the overwhelming firepower of the sky battleship, this high-tech space station succumbed.

"My lord." Aura removed her helmet and approached. She glanced back with disgust at the Skrulls who had been bound and thrown to the ground before beginning her report. "The Immortal City has received the message." She leaned down and spoke in a voice Nick Fury couldn't hear, "The intelligence department is working on breaking the encryption, but the encryption method and code they're using are incompatible with Earth."

Nick Fury raised an eyebrow.

It was already surprising that Salomon's subordinates could crack the firewall and transmit information. Although he didn't know what the woman in the power armor said, it was definitely due to the encryption measures in the system. However, he still pretended to be clueless. "Looks like we'll be staying here for a while longer." Salomon looked at the one-eyed former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. "If we can't control S.W.A.R., then I don't mind having some more junk in space."

“Because I’m out of time, Nick Fury, my patience is waning.” Salomon stood up and gave orders to Aura. “Imprison all the Skrulls on the list and put them in restraints. Also, have Tita arrange for people to interrogate each Skrull. If we can’t get any intelligence from here, I believe these aliens know something.” He said, “Take over the facility as soon as possible, and order the foundry to begin the modification plan.”

"Yes, my lord!"

"You weren't like this before, Salomon. I thought you'd handle this some other way. Do you want to become a tyrant?"

Salomon did not answer, but turned and walked out of the office.
