Song Chen reached out and touched the arm armor of the battle suit.

The moment his fingertips touched the metal surface, the entire mass of silver light suddenly surged, like a living thing awakened, spreading upwards along his fingertips.

In less than a second, the armor was automatically donned, each plate perfectly fitting his body shape, and the joints moved so smoothly it was as if he were wearing nothing at all.

The information from the armor was transmitted directly to his star core through psionic resonance.

No instructions are needed; once he puts it on, he knows what the armor can do.

Lal leaned against the desk, arms crossed, and said, "This is a ninth-tier true star-level battle armor, Silver Radiance. The armor you're wearing is too bad. Wear this from now on."

"The Silver Armor's greatest strength lies in its defensive capabilities."

"It can withstand three full-force attacks from a level nine enemy, or one regular level ten attack."

"Immune to all attacks below the eighth rank, including psionic bombardment, physical penetration, mental erosion, toxins, radiation, high temperatures, and extreme cold."

"When an eighth-tier attack hits you, Silver Radiance will automatically absorb 90% of the damage."

"That strong?" Song Chen was surprised.

Lal walked up to Song Chen, reached out and adjusted the left shoulder armor of the Silver Blaze Armor. His movements were casual, but the seriousness in his eyes was unmistakable.

"Do you know what geniuses fear most?"

Song Chen thought for a moment: "It will be aborted."

"Yes, it died young." Ral nodded.

"The universe is too vast. A seventh-order being is a god in a first-order civilization, but on a cosmic battlefield, they are just a slightly advanced cannon fodder."

"You can crush a level one subordinate civilization like the Winged People, but if it were a level two civilization, any eighth-tier cultivator could easily kill you."

"If a genius dies before he/she can fully develop, then his/her genius is meaningless. The universe will not be merciful to you just because you are a genius."

Song Chen nodded in deep agreement.

Lal then pointed to the black crystal core on the chest of the armor: "And this, the core function of Silverlight, is void leap."

"This is far superior to your void-traveling combat technique. Activate this crystal core, and you can teleport to any known coordinate within a thousand light-years in three seconds."

Song Chen looked up at Lar, a thousand light-years away?

Does that mean that once he puts on this armor, no one will be able to catch him?

"How many of these armors are there in the entire Disciplinary Department?" Song Chen asked.

"The disciplinary department?" Lal laughed heartily.

"You could turn the Department of Punishment upside down and you still wouldn't find another one like it. I personally dug out the Silver Radiance from the ruins of a Level 6 civilization 300,000 years ago. I fought three beings of the same level to get it, and shattered dozens of planets in the process."

"For the past 30,000 years, I've kept it locked in a display case, unwilling to give it away. Do you know why?"

Why?

"In the past 30,000 years, I've seen at least 8,000 to 10,000 geniuses in the investment department, but you're the first one I feel is worth investing heavily in."

Lal pointed to the Silver Armor: "This armor can keep you alive. In this small corner of the galaxy, there are only a handful of people who can pose a fatal threat to you, as long as you don't do three things."

Which three items?

"First, don't deliberately jump into the event horizon of a black hole. Let alone true star-level armor, anyone below the tenth-tier Radiant Transformation level will surely die if they go into a black hole, including me."

"Secondly, don't provoke those old monsters."

"Third, don't act rashly and try to take on an entire civilization single-handedly."

"As for the rest, do whatever you want with them."

Song Chen looked down at his silver armor. The silver light of the armor rippled slightly with his breathing, like a living skin.

The swirling nebula inside the black crystal core on his chest had stabilized, emitting a very low hum—the signal that the armor and his star core had achieved complete synchronization.

He stood up and bowed deeply to Ral: "Thank you, Lord Ral."

Lal waved his hand: "You're welcome."

"I told you, this is an investment. I'll forgive your debts to Earth, give you armor to protect you, and ensure you're not slapped to death before you grow stronger. What's my reward?"

Song Chen straightened up and looked into Lar's eyes: "I will definitely come when you need me."

Lal nodded seriously: "Okay, Song Chen, I'll be waiting to see the day you conquer the universe."

After saying that, he walked behind his desk, sat down again, and took out a data board from the drawer.

"Alright, now that we've finished talking about business, let's talk about something lighter."

"I'll settle the debt with the finance department tomorrow. Go back and inform them of this."

"As for the Silver Armor, check the Void Leap Crystal Core on your chest before each mission. If the rotation speed inside the crystal core exceeds 300 revolutions per second, it means that the energy is insufficient and you need to infuse it with psionic energy to recharge it."

"It takes about three thousand cosmic crystals to fully charge it once."

"Understood." Song Chen noted this detail down in his mind.

"There's one more thing. I'll talk to the disciplinary department. They've already recorded how fast your strength is improving. Rather than letting them guess, I'd rather tell them myself."

"Just say that you received special training arranged by me at the training ground on Flowing Star, and that I endorse it. No one will question it again."

"Finally, let's shake hands." Lal stood up, walked to Song Chen, and extended his right hand.

Song Chen grasped his hand, and a warmth emanated from Lar's palm. The hand of a ninth-level expert was equal in strength to that of a seventh-level expert; there was no suppression or probing.

Lars loosened his grip and patted him on the shoulder.

"Go ahead. When you come back to Flowing Star next time, I hope to see you even stronger."

Song Chen turned and walked towards the door. Halfway there, Lal's voice came from behind him.

"Song Chen".

He stopped and turned around.

"Of all the projects I've invested in, this is the one I'm most looking forward to."

……

When Song Chen walked out of Lar's office, the receptionist was still waiting there. When she saw him come out, she bowed slightly.

"Mr. Song Chen, would you like me to take you to the portal?"

"No need, I know the way."

He walked back along the corridor he had come from.

The investment department headquarters has a long corridor with a star map hanging on the walls at intervals, marking the distribution of civilizations in different regions of the Milky Way.

As Song Chen walked through these star charts, her pace gradually slowed down.

Lal helped him so much: interest-free and penalty-free was the first step, recommending him to the disciplinary department was the second step, paying off his debts was the third step, and giving him a true star-level battle armor was the fourth step.

Every single one of these favors was an incredibly heavy debt of gratitude, and Lars never pressured him to repay them.

But precisely because Lar didn't mention any reward, Song Chen was even more certain that the day Lar would ask him to go in the future would be a momentous occasion.

But that's for the future; right now, he has more practical problems to think about.
