The warp drive's engine emitted a deep but powerful hum as its bow was aimed at the planet six light-years away, which was being devoured by crimson light.

One by one, the pale blue warp rings lit up, and space folded into a narrow rift in front of the bow, into which the spaceship silently slid.

A few minutes later, Shadowbee disengaged from the jump state outside the KG-11 orbit.

Song Chen looked down through the porthole and was startled.

From space, this planet should have looked like a silver-white marble embedded in starlight, with the Moonshadow Civilization's silver-white crystalline vegetation covering most of the surface, reflecting a soft glow under the starlight.

But now the planet has turned into a dark red blood sphere.

The organic fungal carpet of the Blood-Eroded Civilization spread outward from the planet's dozen or so landing points, like red ink splashed on a white canvas, seeping in all directions along the veins of the crystalline vegetation.

In areas covered by the fungal carpet, the silvery-white crystalline vegetation withered and turned black, and the ground surface was corroded into a honeycomb-like dark red organic structure.

Those structures are still wriggling; the fungal carpet is alive, breathing, digesting, and transforming the entire planet inch by inch into part of the Blood-Eroded Civilization.

The planet's atmosphere has been polluted by the spore gases released by the creep, turning it a dark purple. Dark red lightning constantly surges in the clouds. This is not natural lightning, but energy overflow released by the creep as it digests the surface psionic veins.

From space, the entire planet looks like an apple being hollowed out from the inside, with decay starting from the skin and spreading towards the core.

A large amount of debris floated in the sky above the planet. The Moonshadow Clan's silver defense platform was riddled with holes by the fragments of the Blood-Eroded Biological Warship.

Several civilian transport ships that had not yet been evacuated were destroyed in near-Earth orbit, their debris slowly burning at the edge of the thin atmosphere, leaving trails of dark red flames.

The communication channels were filled with emergency calls from the Moonshadow Clan garrison and distress signals from civilian channels, all blending together into a cacophony of wailing.

Song Chen didn't rush down. He hovered in near-Earth orbit for a moment and used his Eye of Truth to scan the overall situation of the planet's surface.

The Eye of Truth now covers a range of 100,000 kilometers and is so accurate that it can distinguish the cross-section of an arm on the Earth's surface.

What he saw as he glanced over made him frown slightly; it was disgusting.

A million-strong Bloodlust army is besieging the last three Moonshadow Clan cities on the planet.

These three cities were built on a plateau near the planet's Arctic Circle, and were barely supported by a semi-transparent silver shield created by the Moonshadow Clan's remaining psionic defense platforms.

The shield was already mostly broken, and the remaining parts were still enduring wave after wave of attacks from the blood-corroding creatures.

The Moonshadow Clan civilians in the city were crammed into the streets and underground bunkers, their silvery-gray blood splattered on every wall and every inch of the ground.

The corpses left uncollected by the roadside were dragged away and devoured by the tentacles of the fungal carpet.

While on the road, Song Chen had read about the Blood Erosion Civilization in the Disciplinary Department's intelligence database, but written descriptions and seeing it with one's own eyes are two different things.

The intelligence reports that the Blood Erosion Civilization is a Level 4 Devouring Civilization, which evolves by devouring the psionic energy and biomass of other civilizations, and its individual form is an organic Blood Erosion Cluster.

But what Song Chen sees now is far more than just clumps of blood.

The basic form of the blood-corroding organism is indeed a round, dark red organic mass, ranging in diameter from one meter to tens of meters. Its surface is covered with dense, sharp bone spurs, the tips of which constantly secrete viscous, dark red digestive fluid.

However, these basic forms are merely the "cells" of the Blood Erosion Civilization. When hundreds of thousands of cells gather together, they will merge into a larger combat form.

Some merge into giant biological weapons that are hundreds of meters tall, resembling skinned vertebrates with exposed bones and muscle fibers wriggling between them. With each step, they can flatten a building.

Some merged into a torrent of flesh and blood covering the entire street, like a dark red river flowing through the city, dissolving and absorbing all organic matter in its path, even corroding metal and rocks into honeycomb-like residue.

Others were fused together to form giant siege engines specifically designed for attacking cities, with a size similar to an aircraft carrier on Earth.

Its body is covered with tubular organs that can fire organic acid projectiles. When these projectiles hit the defensive shield, they corrode the shield and create a hole that keeps growing.

These fusions are everywhere on the planet, with millions of blood-corroding creatures forming a collaborative combat system that covers the entire planet, using the fungal carpet as a neural network.

When a Blood-Eater in any area discovers a target, Blood-Eaters in all other areas will react simultaneously.

This is not two million individual enemies, but a single, unified, devouring organism whose entire planet is its hunting ground.

Song Chen took a deep breath, and then he remembered something.

Lal once said that the Silver Armor was quite famous in the Milky Way. It was a true star-level armor that he had snatched from the ruins of an advanced civilization. Back then, he destroyed two planets in the process of taking it.

Almost all the high-level powerhouses in the entire galaxy have heard of the distinctive features of this armor.

He swaggered around the battlefield in his silver armor, essentially putting a "Disciplinary Department" label on his forehead.

If any civilized unit on the battlefield has a grudge against the disciplinary department, it would be the least of their worries to stab them in the back.

Moreover, the Silver Armor's appearance is too conspicuous; its silver sheen makes it an easy target on the battlefield.

He took out the Silver Armor, placed it on the breastplate, and began to change its shape.

The silver light on the surface of the Silver Radiance Armor rippled slightly, and the liquid metal-like armor plates rearranged and recombine, their color changing from dazzling silver to dark gray.

It looks like a set of heavy armor that has been worn for a long time and has been through countless battles but is well maintained.

The psionic patterns at the joints changed from bright silver to dark bronze, and the black crystal core on the chest automatically retracted into the inside of the armor, covered by a thickened chest plate, so that no features of the energy core could be seen from the outside.

The overall design has changed from the previous streamlined shape to a more rugged and heavy block structure, resembling a mass-produced heavy armor manufactured by a level two civilization.

It was sturdy enough, but definitely not impressive; it would be completely unremarkable among the combined forces of dozens of civilizations.

Song Chen looked down at her new look and nodded in satisfaction.

The Shadow Bee was then set to automatic follow mode, keeping it on the near-Earth orbit to provide support at any time. Then, a person jumped directly off the orbit.

The thin atmosphere created a dark red trail of flame as he rubbed against the ground, and his body crashed into the battlefield outside the planet's Arctic Circle like a meteorite.

He deliberately amplified the force several times when he landed.

The armored vehicle's feet slammed into the ground covered with fungal carpet, creating an impact crater tens of meters in diameter.

The fungal carpet at the bottom of the pit was torn apart by the shock wave, and dark red sap splashed in all directions, revealing the rocky surface below that had been corroded and riddled with holes.

The shockwave from the impact overturned all the blood-corroding creatures within a few hundred meters. Several of the closest blood-corroding cells had their cores shattered by the shockwave, turning into puddles of convulsing dark red blood.
