Entertainment: Starting with a complete collapse

Chapter 131 Rain Play Part 2

The sound of the wind.

rainwater.

The sound of rice stalks rubbing against each other echoed in the area. The woman seemed to sense danger, turned her head and saw a factory with its lights on nearby, and immediately ran towards the factory—which was a temporary structure that the film crew had hired to build a few days earlier, consisting of only the outer layer.

The camera zooms in on the woman's facial expression.

Her face was filled with terror.

But before he had run very far, Hu Yu darted out of the rice paddy, and then, probably because the dirt road was slippery, he fell right back down.

"Click"

Huang Min shouted into the walkie-talkie.

Hu Yu, covered in mud after the fall, quickly apologized. After the crew washed the mud off Hu Yu's black raincoat with water, Huang Min reminded him again: "Move faster, you need to create a sense of swift pressure."

"sorry"

Hu Yu quickly apologized.

"No need to apologize. Your acting has improved a lot. Keep it up, and you might even win Best Supporting Actor before you graduate."

Obviously.

Huang Min is just making empty promises to Hu Yu.

Hu Yu's acting has indeed improved, but his role in this drama is relatively small. It's almost impossible for him to win the Best Supporting Actor award with such a small role, at least not yet.

While still in university, she had already landed supporting roles in two movies, which was quite an achievement. After filming wrapped up in the afternoon, Zhou Nian and Zhou Bo, who hadn't left, stood by and watched.

"This movie has a high production value."

Teacher Zhou Bo whispered to Zhou Nian beside him.

"I almost became an investor in this film."

The tone of the anniversary was filled with regret.

He almost set up the stage for Huang Min. If it weren't for the success of "The Terror Live," Huang Min would have become a director under his company. The key is that this guy is really improving fast. His last film, "The Terror Live," was full of tension and could be filmed in a confined space. I thought he was only suitable for making movies with fixed scenes.

However, after filming began for "Memories of Murder," the production team demonstrated strong control over location shooting. In this particular scene, he didn't even need to watch the monitor playback; he could tell from Huang Min's instructions regarding the cameraman's camera angles and the camera's trajectory that the shot was relatively well-made.

The crew resumed filming.

It failed again this time.

He didn't fall, but his movements weren't quick enough; they were a bit slow. Just from those movements, he gave the impression that he might not even be able to outrun a woman.

After filming two more takes, seeing that Hu Yu's movements were still not up to standard, Huang Min thought for a moment and said to Teacher Zhou Bo, "Teacher Zhou Bo, you can do this scene! You have a background in martial arts, you should be able to do it. In a moment, the flashlight will shine on your face, remember not to put your hand to block it."

"no problem"

Zhou Bo agreed immediately.

After switching to Zhou Bo, the filming went very smoothly, and it was done in just two takes. This was mainly because the scene didn't require filming the actors' micro-expression changes; they just needed to jump out of the rice paddy with lightning speed.

"Prepare for the next scene"

Huang Min spoke up.

"Filming seems like a lot of fun."

Li Tian's voice came to my ears.

Huang Min smiled and said, "After you've filmed more, you won't find it so fun anymore. Study hard, and if you don't understand anything, you can ask me or one of the teachers directly."

soon.

The crew had already made preparations for filming the next scene. It had been raining for the past two days, so Huang Min filmed all the rain scenes he could. After the rain scenes were finished, it would be time to film the scenes of threshing grain. The crew had already found a tractor in advance.

The woman who played the role of the murderer in this cameo role was a makeup artist on the film crew.

Beside two transparent films, the murderer, played by Hu Yu, tightly covers a woman's mouth and nose, while a figure riding a bicycle passes by in front of him.

"Click"

Huang Min picked up the walkie-talkie and shouted, "This scene is finished filming, let's wrap up."

Hearing the director say this, the staff who had been working hard all day and getting soaked in the rain breathed a sigh of relief. The rain had been too heavy these past two days. Although rain was a good thing when filming rain scenes, it was simply torture for the behind-the-scenes staff.

"Brother-in-law, won't you find me a role to play?!"

Seeing that Huang Min had finished his work, Su Yan immediately came over with a smile and asked.

"Wait until I really become your brother-in-law."

Huang Min replied with a smile.

The filming went exceptionally smoothly, and Huang Min was in a good mood. A couple of days ago, thanks to Lin Wan's post on her public WeChat account, the crew members worked very conscientiously, which made the filming progress very fast. The rain scenes were also filmed relatively quickly these past two days.

At this pace, the scenes here will be filmed soon and the crew will move on to other locations. Huang Min estimated that filming could wrap up as early as November, and at the latest, no later than December.

"Then go after her!"

Su Yan said, "My sister loves promotions and raises. If you give her more promotions and raises, you'll be able to take her down in no time."

"Let's go to a hotel in the county town to rest with Li Tian!"

Noticing that the crew had almost finished packing, Huang Min reminded the two of something.

Huang Min didn't rush back. After the two left, he watched the playback several times to make sure there were no problems before taking Uncle Zheng's taxi and leaving.

Since Huang Min came here, Uncle Zheng has been dropping him off in the morning and then driving a taxi. He'll come back to pick him up in the evening. It's really not easy being a middle-aged man.

September 15th.

The web series "Unexpectedly" was officially broadcast on a short video platform, but because no agreement was signed with the platform, it did not receive much promotion.

The advantage is that it can be published on both platforms simultaneously.

However, because Zhang Jianhua secured several brand sponsorships for this web series, Su Qing still spent over 200,000 yuan on promotion. Her thinking was simple: even if it didn't have much effect, it would only cost over 200,000 yuan, which was equivalent to throwing in the brand sponsorship fees, while the company would only bear a few hundred thousand yuan in production costs.

If it works well, besides helping the company's behind-the-scenes staff who have signed labor contracts, even if they are not suitable for acting in serious dramas, they can continue to work on web dramas. When the time is right, they can directly get some products for the staff to promote.

It's perfectly normal for web drama actors to become live-streaming e-commerce hosts in this era of thriving short videos; it's also one of the fastest ways to monetize.

To Su Qing's surprise, this web series, which she didn't have high hopes for and was full of memes and parodies, had just aired its first episode on a short video platform.

That is, the episode where her younger brother, Su Yan, stands in front of the camera with an idiotic look on his face, and after post-production dubbing, says, "My name is Wang Dachui, I am an actor, and I am currently filming a low-budget martial arts drama."

On the Moyin short video platform, the number of views exceeded 500,000 on the first day.

There were tens of thousands of comments.
