Fairy Tail: This Healing Mage's hits hurt so much!

Chapter 38: A scene that will make your nose bleed.

"Ahhhhh, what's going on? Why are you only chasing after me?!"

The mine was dark and cramped, and Riyao practically ran for his life.

The soles of his shoes scraped against the rough surface of the mine shaft with a rapid sound, and he ran with great speed.

Behind him, a dark mass of giant ore-devouring rats bared their sharp teeth, followed closely by swarms of shadow spiders with their long, thin legs. The dense horde of magical beasts seemed to have identified him, clinging to him and relentlessly pursuing him.

He felt a surge of frustration. He was clearly tough and resilient, and even if he were ganged up on, he wouldn't be hurt in the slightest.

But seeing this group of sticky, messy monsters rushing towards him all at once was so visually repulsive that it made his skin crawl. It was incredibly uncomfortable.

Erza wielded her sword and chased after the monsters, but the monsters did not fight back at all, focusing solely on pursuing Sunrise.

"Erza, hurry and cut! My safety is in your hands!"

"Sunrise Senior, slow down!"

"No way! I don't want to be gnawed by rats, it's too disgusting!"

Erza, leaning on her knees and panting heavily, wiped the sweat from her forehead and watched helplessly as Sunshine led a large group of monsters in circles in the mine.

"Senior Riyou, I can't keep up anymore, it's too tiring..."

"Huh? Okay then, throw me the sword!"

"OK."

"Watch out! Sunburst."

Erza raised her hand and threw the longsword at Sunrise with all her might, but she slipped and threw it off course. The longsword shot straight toward Sunrise's head, and Sunrise's eyes widened in fright.

He wasn't paying attention to his footing and tripped, falling to the ground as the longsword grazed his head.

He slid a long way along the ground due to inertia, his cheeks scraping against the rough ore.

"Sunlight-senpai, watch out!"

The giant ore-devouring rats and shadow spiders swarmed forward instantly, completely engulfing the Sunbeam.

The next second, a dazzling golden light suddenly burst forth in the dim mine. Sunlight activated the Hundred Tactics Formation, and golden patterns spread all over the body along the skin.

He grabbed a giant ore-devouring rat by the tail and swung it around hard, sending the surrounding monsters flying instantly.

"It's filthy! I'm covered in filth!"

Enraged, Riyao unleashed a furious barrage of punches, splashing green bodily fluids all over his body.

Erza gripped her longsword tightly, her eyes filled with admiration.

"Sunny senior is amazing! I need to work harder too!"

After saying that, he once again swung his sword and charged forward to kill the demon beast.

Sunburst had a particularly tough time, not because the Mineral Rats and Shadow Spiders were particularly powerful.

Instead, every time he threw a punch to counterattack, the shattered limbs and rubble would bounce back with the force of the impact, hitting his vital points one after another, making his offensive intermittent and extremely frustrating.

"Ugh, so annoying... Ugh, ptooey!"

He finally lost his temper, poured all his magic into his right foot, raised it high, and slammed it hard onto the ground.

With a loud bang.

The violent force exploded instantly, shattering all the surrounding ore-devouring giant rats and shadow spiders, with green fluids splattering everywhere.

Sunburst was stained green from head to toe, and Erza was not spared either, her half-body facing him was also splattered with green liquid.

Before the two could react, another loud rumble came from above, and loose rocks crashed down, burying Riyao under the pile of stones. A tattered wooden plank was stuck diagonally in front of the pile of stones.

Erza was startled at first, then rushed forward frantically, shoving through the rocks as she dug, shouting urgently, "Sunlight-senpai, are you still alive? Hold on, I'll dig you out right now!"

A muffled voice came from under the pile of stones: "I'm kind of 'dead'... These stones are stuck right in the joints where I need to exert force, so I can't use my strength."

"Erza, in my life, I slay dragons and demons, only to end up with an ominous old age."

Erza paused in her digging, then continued digging while replying speechlessly, "Putting aside the dragons and demons, Sunrise, how old are you? Already old?"

"Huh? He's not calling me 'Sunrise Senior' anymore... So, love can disappear, right?"

Erza's temple throbbed with a sharp pain as she clenched her fist and slammed it hard against the pile of stones.

"Aww!"

Riyao let out a scream, but the blow also knocked away the stone that was stuck in his joint.

He emerged from the pile of stones, covered in dust, and met Erza's gaze.

The next second, both of them broke down.

"Pfft... Hahahaha! Erza, your green face is just too funny!"

"Hahaha... You're no better! Your smile, showing your teeth, makes you even more ridiculous!"

Riyao laughed until his body went limp, and he didn't even have the strength to lift his hand. Erza reached out and grabbed his arm, struggling to pull him completely out of the pile of rocks.

The two, covered in green grime and dust, helped each other out of the abandoned mine shaft in a disheveled state.

Riyao slumped down, glanced at his body covered in green sap, and said helplessly, "I'd better go wash myself in the stream over there first, otherwise I'll be too ashamed to go back looking like this... No, I can barely even see my face now."

Erza looked down at her armor and clothes, which were covered in filth, and nodded silently, with only one thought in her mind: Sisters have dignity, we must wash.

At the stream, a scene unfolded that would make anyone's nose bleed.

Something always happens between teenagers during puberty.

For example, Riyao slipped and lost his balance, his face hitting a rock on the side. After a muffled thud, two streams of blood immediately flowed down his nose.

"I'm done living! There's definitely something dirty following me. What a terrible day!"

Erza covered her mouth, trying to suppress her laughter: "Pfft, I'm professionally trained, I don't usually laugh."

The two cleaned themselves off by the stream, tidied themselves up, and then returned to the guild together.

Throughout the journey, Riyao remained on edge, fully alert, and vigilant against any unexpected events that might occur at any moment.

Erza silently moved to the side, keeping a safe distance from him, afraid of being affected by his bad luck again.

Finally back at the guild, Sunshine stopped at the guild gate, pondering whether to go in. The unexpected events inside were magical, unlike the ones along the way.

Just as he was thinking this, he was smashed away by Gray who flew out from inside. Erza was dumbfounded. Sunrise got up from the ground and ran straight home without looking back.

"Erza, you can go and deliver the commission to the old man yourself. I'm going back now. See you tomorrow."

Gray sat up from the ground, looking completely bewildered as Sunshine ran off into the distance. He asked, "What's Sunshine doing?"

"He's having a really bad day. I guess he's afraid of encountering something even worse if he joins the guild."

"Hahaha, serves him right, he's always so mean-spirited."

Gray got up and walked back to the guild, and Erza also went into the guild to report the commission process to Makarov.
