Riyao released Gray, dusted off his hands, and stood triumphantly in the center of the hall with his hands on his hips. He glanced at the groaning crowd on the floor, raised an eyebrow, and announced loudly, "How many floors do you have to carry a bag of rice up? If you have to carry a bag of rice up to the second floor, and if you give me too much rice, I'll wash it."

"Hehehe, I told you not to push me, now you know how powerful I am, right?"

"From today onwards, call me Sun - Solo Entire Guild - Glory".

He strolled over to the bar with a smug look on his face, grabbed a glass of juice, and started slurping it down.

Gildarts slowly sat back down in his chair, leaning on the bar counter. Looking at his smug expression, he said irritably, "When did you come up with this trick? Hitting yourself, how did you even think of that?"

Riyao waved his hand dismissively, raised his chin, and said with feigned sorrow, "These past few days have been so painful, so I'm going to let the whole world feel my pain!"

Actually, he remembered that the Demon Heart had similar magic, and tried to modify it using Life Link to achieve the same effect. Now, looking at the results, it was simply outstanding.

Riyao stopped joking around, turned around and walked to the service board, took down all the medical service requests he had accumulated over the past few days, and carried them back to the bar to look through them.

Seeing that he had finally started to get down to business, Makarov waved his hand to signal everyone to stop fooling around.

The president rubbed his aching bones and glared at him with a resentful look.

"You brat, you actually changed the life link into this awful state, it hurts so much that there's no way to relieve the pain."

As Riyao flipped through the commission form, he grinned mischievously and started talking.

"How many flights of stairs do you have to carry a bag of rice up..."

Before he could finish speaking, Makarov delivered a sharp rap on the forehead.

"Stop carrying anything! You're not allowed to carry anything!"

Riyao covered his head, feeling indignant.

"Grandpa, be careful, I might activate Life Link Modification again later. We'll share the good times and the bad!"

"Come on, who's afraid of who! Back in the day, I was surrounded by thousands of people all by myself, and I didn't even flinch!"

"You're bragging. Where would you get thousands of people to surround you? This isn't the Kingdom War from the first game."

Makarov was so angry that he was about to hit him again, but Sunshine immediately assumed a stance as if to cast a spell.

Seeing this, Gray rushed over and grabbed Makarov's short legs. With a pull, the president lost his balance and "splat" his face hit the bar.

"Old man, please! Let him go, and let us go too!"

Upon hearing that they were about to activate the life link again, everyone wailed in despair, with Gray clinging tightly to Makarov's leg and refusing to let go.

"Grey, you little bastard, let go of me!" Makarov was being pulled so hard he was swaying, and he was so angry he was blowing his beard and glaring at Makarov.

Sunrise slapped the bar and laughed, "Hahaha, Gray did a great job!"

He suddenly remembered his purpose for today, folded the power of attorney, frowned and said, "Oh right, I was interrupted by your nonsense just now, and that's when I remembered that I came here today to ask if the old man knows what's going on with me."

When Makarov realized it was serious business, he abandoned his plan to give Riyao a good whack on the head and said seriously, "I've never heard of your situation before."

Gildarts chimed in, "Oh right, I might have some clues about that weird laugh you mentioned."

Others gathered around when they heard something interesting, while Levy flipped through her books.

"You stinky... Gildarts-senpai, ever heard of him?"

"Huh? You were just trying to call me 'stinky old man,' weren't you?"

"Oh, don't worry about the main point, continue."

Gildarts, too lazy to argue with Sunrise about the form of address, stroked his chin with his fingertips, his expression becoming more serious.

"That was a record I found in an ancient ruin during one of my missions, a legend related to a deity."

As soon as he finished speaking, the noisy guild fell silent, and everyone's eyes were focused on him.

Gray broke the silence first, his face full of surprise as he asked, "God? Does God really exist in this world?"

The others immediately started chattering amongst themselves. Erza frowned and asked seriously, "Could it be... that Sun's current miserable state is related to this god?"

Kana crossed her arms and replied with certainty, "It must be that Sun Yao did something heinous and was punished by God."

Levy excitedly took out her pen and started writing in her little notebook, muttering something under her breath.

"I don't know if it's true or not, but it's recorded in the relics anyway."

"How many years ago... never mind, anyway, a long, long time ago, there was a mage who could predict the future."

"He used prophetic magic to glimpse the impending destruction of his homeland."

"He nipped the danger in the bud, which should have been a cause for celebration."

"But a strange thing happened. When he was protecting the village and getting through the danger period, he heard a burst of laughter. At the time, he thought it was just the villagers cheering and didn't pay any attention to it."

"After that, he started having a lot of bad luck. Soon, within a few days, he was attacked by all sorts of inexplicable accidents."

"He wanted to know what was going on, so he forced himself to activate the precognitive magic despite his serious injuries."

"This time he only saw it for one day, because he died."

"This is all that the villagers recorded at the time. There is one more sentence at the end, which is the narration of the magician who had the ability to foresee the future."

"It says: I saw Him. He calls himself 'Canossia,' the god who governs the laws of fate."

That's all.

Kyldas shrugged, indicating that the story was over. While everyone was still processing this bizarre legend, Makarov suddenly snapped out of his daze and slammed his hand on the bar.

"Seven days ago, that kid Riyao suddenly stared at me and inexplicably told me to stop laughing. I wasn't laughing at all at the time, and I was puzzled for a long time."

Riyao raised his head blankly, looking completely bewildered: "Is that so?"

"You had barely finished speaking when a flying wine glass smashed right into your noodle bowl!"

Riyao suddenly realized, his eyes widening in surprise: "Oh right! It's that exact same laughter! So, that was the beginning of my bad luck, and now it's finally coming to an end?"

Gray scratched his head, looking puzzled, and asked, "But how come Sunburst isn't dead?"

"Ugh, do I really have to die? You idiot."

Everyone gave him a look that said he was an idiot. Erza raised her hand and delivered a chop to his head, calmly analyzing the situation.

"It must be because Riyao's self-healing ability is far beyond that of ordinary people that he was able to hold on."

Levy timidly raised her hand and asked softly, "That prophetic mage was cursed by the gods because he altered the future, so what did Sunbringer do to offend Him?"

Kana tilted her head and thought for a moment, then looked at everyone: "Speaking of which, what exactly did Riyao do seven days ago?"

After thinking for two and a half seconds, everyone looked into Erza's eyes.
