The experimental cabin on the west side of Riyao Manor receives very little sunlight throughout the year. The heavy blackout curtains are drawn tightly, with only a few weak rays of light sneaking in through the window cracks, illuminating the dust floating in the air.

The table was piled with magical drafts stained with reagents, half-full glass bottles, and even the air was filled with the pale green smell of potions and the lavender scent of stardust.

"I choose you! Baruka!"

As soon as Riyao's voice faded, the golden star gate opened, and Baluko, dressed in a classic black and white maid outfit and carrying a feather duster, made a dazzling entrance.

As soon as she stood still, she looked around, her gaze sweeping over the pile of animal bones in the corner and the magic books on the bookshelf. A thin blush rose to the tips of her ears, and her eyes drifted to the labeled reagent boxes, as if she had thought of something she shouldn't be thinking about.

Riyao rolled his eyes and tugged at the curtain cord with a huff. Sunlight flooded in instantly, illuminating the dimly lit room and making even the dust particles clearly visible.

"What nonsense are you thinking?"

Baruga's neatly styled hair drooped, even the feather duster looked limp, and she blinked her eyes pitifully, "Huh, isn't it what I thought?"

"I summoned you to conduct an experiment."

As soon as she finished speaking, a suspicious blush rose on Baluge's cheeks, and her fingers tightened their grip on her skirt.

"Hey! This is a serious experiment!" Riyao quickly waved his hand, afraid that she might misunderstand something, and pushed the leather notebook lying on the table between the two of them.

"This is a proper magic experiment, and I need your cooperation."

Barug leaned closer, stared at the messy handwriting for a few seconds, then tilted his head and asked, "Boss, what kind of magic is life mimicry?"

"It's similar to receiving magic, but it also incorporates enchantment magic and transformation magic, though its core essence is life magic."

Riyao picked up the pen dipped in reagent, made two marks on the notebook, and spoke with a hint of pride in having figured out the result.

Baluge tilted her head, thought for two seconds, then tapped the words "Life Mimicry" on her notebook with her fingertip, her tone as calm as if she were asking about dinner: "So, what does the boss need me to do?"

"Let me analyze your magic, and your body, that's all." Riyao leaned back in his chair, swinging his legs that were draped over the side of the chair.

"Bang."

A loud bang shook the reagent bottles on the table, and the wooden door of the experimental hut was kicked open, the door panel hitting the wall with a dull thud.

Riyao was swinging his legs when his pen "thudded" onto the notebook, splashing a little green medicine. His eyes widened instantly.

"You filthy scoundrel, you pervert! What are you trying to do to Baruga!?"

Mirajane stood in the doorway with a dark expression, her hair flying wildly in the wind. She was clutching a freshly ladled vegetable soup spoon in her hand, her fingernails grimeed with flour from the kitchen, and demonic claws protruding from her fingertips, as if she wanted to tear someone apart.

Lisana peeked out from behind her, clutching the corner of her apron and peeking into the room, still holding half a cookie in her hand.

"You scared me! I didn't do anything." Riyao quickly waved his hand, pulled the open notebook closer to his chest, and touched his nose to hide his guilty conscience.

When Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman first joined Fairy Tail, they were dragged to the manor by Sunrise, who claimed that they were asked to help take care of the manor's magical plants so that he could freeload on their meals every day.

Mirajane had come to call Sunrise for dinner, but after listening to the word "body" for a couple of minutes outside the door, his face instantly turned as black as ink.

Her gaze swept across the entire small room: on the top shelf were several brightly colored magazines, including the "Magic Girl Weekly" that she had "borrowed" from Chairman Makarov's locker last time. The cover model was wearing a revealing dress and was particularly eye-catching in the sunlight.

On the desk by the window, there is a row of medicine bottles arranged according to the color spectrum, arranged according to the rainbow colors. Some of them are effective medicines, while others are ineffective liquids in transitional colors, mixed by Riyao to satisfy his intermittent obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Several boxes were filled with various materials, which he would use to concoct potions when he had nothing to do. He would sell the recovery potions to guild members, but he couldn't give them away for free, or he would ruin them. He also used some potions to enhance his own physical abilities.

Like some kind of magical beast, buy it, infuse it with life energy, top-quality fresh magical beast material!

There are also withered, extinct herbs. Buy them, infuse them with life energy, and plant them in the medicinal field for a continuous supply of extinct herbs.

"The boss just wants to study my celestial body to improve his magic," Baruga added quietly, clutching her apron.

"Right, right, what bad intentions could a decent person like me have?" Riyao immediately patted his chest and came over, but before he could finish speaking, he knocked over a bottle of light blue reagent and hurriedly caught it.

"If you're a decent person, then no one is." Mirajane rolled her eyes, snatched the notebook from his arms, flipped through a couple of pages of scribbled magic notes, frowned, and scratched her head. "Isn't this for receiving magic?"

"Similar, similar." Riyao quickly laughed it off.

"Are you sure it's not plagiarism?"

"Can you call it plagiarism when it's something a respectable person does!" Riyao jumped up to retort, his elbow knocking over a scroll on the bookshelf, which rolled all over the floor.

He pushed Mirajane and Lisana, who was still reaching for the medicine bottle, toward the door, yelling, "Get out! The experiment is important, don't cause trouble here!"

Lisana turned around and stuck out her tongue. Mirajane glared at him before leaving, saying, "Don't do anything weird," before closing the door.

Riyao took a deep breath, reached out and grasped Baluge's wrist. A pale green life magic emanated from his fingertips, slowly seeping into her veins and coursing through her astral body.

With his eyes closed and brows slightly furrowed, he carefully sensed the subtle differences between celestial spirit magic and ordinary life magic.

"Boss, life mimicry is similar to receiving magic. Are you going to let Balgo receive it?" Balgo's calm voice rang out.

"How could that be? You are my dearest friend and family, I'm not some kind of devil." Sunlight stopped his magic.

He activated the Life Mimicry spell, and the pale green life magic intertwined with the celestial spirit magic on Balgo's body. Strands of celestial spirit life information were gently absorbed from her body by the magic in Sunshine's palm.

"Huh, what's this?" Baluga stared wide-eyed, utterly bewildered, feeling as if something inside her had been copied and pasted.

Riyao abruptly released her wrist, leaning back in his chair with a sigh of relief: "Just as I imagined! The life-mimicry was indeed missing a catalyst!"

"Boss, are you planning to switch to a Protoss class?" Balgo tilted her head and blinked curiously.

"Hehe." (¬◡¬)✧

Riyao swung his legs, a smug grin on his face.

"Will that mean Balugo will be a Celestial Spirit then?"

"It's alright, I'll find you a good family later." Riyao stood with his hands on his hips, looking like a bully trying to snatch someone away.

"Waaaaah, does the boss not want me anymore?" Baluge began her expressionless performance.

"Oh ho ho..." Riyao laughed even more arrogantly, like a bully.

Another loud bang, and the wooden door was kicked open again. This time, Riyao had already heard the commotion at the door; he could even hear Lisana tugging at Mirajane's sleeve and whispering, "Sister, shouldn't we be keeping up with Riyao's experiment?"

Mirajane rolled her eyes: "Stop talking nonsense, he's definitely up to something shady!"

Riyao didn't even look up. He leaned against the door, swinging his legs, clutching the notebook he had just tidied up, and looked at the two who barged in with a mocking expression: "Big Sister Mira really cares about me."

Mirajane's ears turned slightly red, and Sunshine looked at Mirajane with a smile.

With a blank expression, Balu said, "It's been a long time since I've seen the boss so happy."
