Starting with SSS-rank talent, I contracted the Forbidden Ferocity.

Nine pillars of light converged to form an ancient beast formation.

At the center of the formation, the enormous beast soul was fully awakened.

It resembles a Qilin, with dragon horns on its head, black armor on its back, and black soul fire on its four hooves.

With each breath, the entire altar ruins trembled.

【Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast】

[Identity: Guardian of the Blackrock Altar]

[Level: Early Stage 4]

[Status: Complete Beast Soul]

[Weakness: The three key points of the formation—dragon horns, black armor, and soul fire—must be destroyed simultaneously.]

Initial stage of fourth order.

But it's completely different from the incomplete Blood Beast of Ten Thousand Souls from before.

The Blood Beast of Ten Thousand Souls is a monster forcibly created through blood sacrifice.

The Black-Scaled Soul-Suppressing Beast before them possessed a calm, complete, and ancient aura.

Xiao Jue shouldered his battle axe.

"Simultaneously breaking through three points?"

The Mirror Nightmare Beast unfolded behind Gu Chen, and the mirror reflected the three weaknesses of the Black Scale Soul Suppressing Beast.

"Dragon horns on its head, black armor on its back, and soul fire on its four hooves."

"It won't give us the chance to defeat them one by one."

Shen Ye said, "That's why we divided the work."

"Xiao Jue, your soul is burning beneath your broken hoof."

"Gu Chen, find a chance to immobilize the dragon's horns."

"I climbed onto my back, breaking through the black armor."

Xiao Jue grinned.

"Give yourself the toughest edge?"

Shen Ye said, "Ye Yu has just broken through and can burn souls."

Gu Chen nodded.

"feasible."

The Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast didn't give them much time.

It let out a low growl and stomped its four hooves on the ground.

The black soul fire instantly spread along the ground.

Xiao Jue charged forward head-on, with the Mountain-Splitting Demon Ape close behind.

"Mountain-Splitting!"

Both the man and the ape crashed to the ground at the same time.

The earthy yellow blood and qi collided with the black soul fire, creating a large shockwave.

Gu Chen then unfolded his mirror domain.

Six silver mirrors appeared, reflecting the gaze of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast.

Shen Ye vanished using Shadow Step.

The next instant, he appeared behind and to the side of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast.

Zhu Jiu burst out of the shadows, and the Nine Netherworld Shadow Locked onto the beast soul's hind legs.

With a mere tremor, the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast shattered the Shadow.

Its tail swept horizontally.

Shen Ye had barely appeared when he was forced to disappear again.

"The strength is very stable."

Gu Chen's voice came from the mirror.

"It's not a berserk beast soul; inducing it to go out of control won't work."

Shen Ye said, "Then let's just tear it down."

Long Yuan let out a low roar, activated his Battle Golden Body, and pounced directly at the head of the Black Scale Soul Suppressing Beast.

The Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast raised its horn and struck.

Long Yuan was thrown out and crashed into the ruins.

But it quickly rose again, its golden battle blood even more intense.

Night Feather flew into the sky.

The lingering power of the Nether Phoenix Soul Burial had not yet dissipated, and the Netherfire on its body was already several times stronger than before.

The dark flames fell towards the black armor on the back of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast.

The beast patterns on the surface of the Xuanjia armor lit up, actually keeping the Netherfire out.

Shen Ye's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Yoyu, concentrate."

The Netherfire subsided, transforming into a thin line that continued to scorch the center of the Xuanjia armor.

The Blackscale Soul Beast sensed the threat and raised its head to attack Ye Yu.

Gu Chen seized the opportunity.

"Mirror Lock".

Six mirrors simultaneously reflected its dragon horns.

A silver chain of light spiraled upwards.

The Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast paused in its movements.

Xiao Jue roared from below:

"Shen Ye!"

"The Soulfire is weak!"

Shen Ye did not hesitate.

"Longyuan, take me up there."

Long Yuan slammed his fist into the ground, using the recoil to leap to the side of the Black Scale Soul-Suppressing Beast, and then swung his arm.

Shen Ye stepped on Long Yuan's arm and soared into the sky.

The Ghostfire Battle Body is fully activated.

The short sword was wreathed in ghostly fire and phantom flames.

He landed on the back of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast.

A tremor from an ancient beast soul emanated from beneath the black armor, attempting to blast him away.

Shen Ye planted his feet firmly on the gaps in the armor, and stabbed the short knife into the cracks burned by Ye Yu.

clang!

It didn't pierce through.

The Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast trembled violently.

Shen Ye's arm went numb, and the area between his thumb and forefinger split open.

"Again."

Night Feather swooped down, pouring in the Netherfire a second time.

Shen Ye drew his sword and stabbed again.

clang!

The crack widened.

Gu Chen's face paled slightly, and the mirror lock began to crack.

"I can't hold on for much longer."

Xiao Jue is also having a hard time.

He and the Mountain-Splitting Demon Ape forcibly suppressed the Soul Fire on their four hooves, and several black marks had already been burned on their bodies by the Soul Fire.

Shen Ye's eyes darkened.

"Candle Nine, the Back View of Zhen".

Zhu Jiu emerged from the shadows behind the Black Scale Soul-Suppressing Beast, its serpentine body coiled around the cracks in its Xuanjia armor, and launched a close-range attack with its Candle Shadow Gaze.

The Xuanjia beast pattern finally paused briefly.

Shen Ye's third strike landed.

Click!

The black armor was broken.

[The core of the Xuanjia Formation has been destroyed.]

The Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast roared to the sky, its aura becoming disordered.

Gu Chen seized the opportunity instantly.

"Dragon horns!"

All the mirrors of the Mirror Nightmare Beast merged into one, transforming into a beam of silver-white light that slammed into the base of the dragon's horns.

Longyuan leaped up again.

The First Dragon roared!

The dragon's horns trembled.

Shen Ye jumped off the beast's back, and while still in mid-air, the short knife flew out of his hand.

Ye Yu's Nether Phoenix Thousand Blades followed and fell.

boom!

One of the dragon's horns snapped off.

[The dragon horn formation's core has been destroyed.]

Only the soul flame remains.

Xiao Jue laughed loudly.

"Finally, it's my turn!"

His blood energy surged, and his beast bloodline was fully activated.

The Mountain-Splitting Demon Ape slammed down with both fists simultaneously.

Xiao Jue's battle axe cleaved into the soul fire beneath the hooves of the Black Scale Soul-Suppressing Beast.

Longyuan also rushed over.

Fighting Fist!

Two extreme forces simultaneously blasted into the eye of the Soulfire Array.

The black soul fire exploded.

[The Soulfire Array Eye is destroyed.]

All three key points of the formation failed simultaneously.

The massive body of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast remained frozen in place.

Then, its hostility slowly dissipated.

It looked down at the three people.

An ancient will entered their minds.

"Trial passed."

Task 2 completed.

[Task 3: Obtain the Altar Inheritance.]

The nine beast soul pillars lit up simultaneously.

Three beams of light descended.

A stream fell towards Xiao Jue.

A stream fell towards Gu Chen.

The last one fell on Shen Ye.

An ancient black and gold mark appeared before Shen Ye's eyes.

[Altar Heritage: Myriad Beasts Battle Pattern.]

[Effect: Allows some of the Beast Taming skills to be inscribed into the host's body, increasing the efficiency of human-beast combat.]

[Host has been detected to possess the Myriad Beasts Divine Contract.]

The inheritance process has undergone adaptive changes.

[Achieve exclusive inheritance: Myriad Beasts Divine Rune.]

[Effect 1: Can simultaneously hold multiple Beast Taming Skill Imprints.]

[Effect 2: When the Beast Taming Bloodline awakens, the host can simultaneously gain the Bloodline's unique characteristics.]

[Effect 3: Activates the basic human-beast fusion form.]

Shen Ye's eyes lit up.

This legacy perfectly complements his melee combat system.

From then on, he did more than just share skills.

Instead, it allows one to imprint the power of the beast-taming bloodline into oneself.

The figure of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast gradually faded.

In the center of the altar, a black and gold beast egg slowly rose.

The system notification reappeared.

[Unknown Beast Taming Embryo.]

[Status: Sleeping.]

Potential: Unknown.

[Note: There are not enough contract slots available.]

Shen Ye looked at the beast egg, his eyes flickering slightly.

Insufficient contract positions.

But that doesn't mean we can't have contracts in the future.

Gu Chen and Xiao Jue also saw the beast eggs.

Gu Chen said, "This should be the final reward."

Xiao Jue scratched his head.

"How do we divide it?"

Shen Ye did not speak immediately.

The deep voice of the Blackscale Soul-Suppressing Beast rang out again.

"It does not belong to the winner."

"It belongs to the one who can awaken it."

As soon as he finished speaking, the beast egg floated towards Shen Ye.

Xiao Jue glanced at Shen Ye, then at the beast egg.

"Alright."

"Looks like this has nothing to do with me."

Gu Chen smiled and said, "You'll get used to it."

Xiao Jue glared at him.

"You got used to it too quickly."

Shen Ye raised his hand and caught the beast egg.

The system notification appeared the moment I acquired it.

[Obtained: Chaos Beast Embryo.]

[Incubation Requirements: Tier 4, Fourth Contract Position, Chaos Attribute Materials.]

[Mythical-level evolution path: Not yet unlocked.]

Shen Ye put away the beast embryo.

The altar began to shake.

The instance will be closed soon.

The three were enveloped in black light and teleported away.
