With maxed-out heading ability from the start, I became the king of Arsenal.

As a time traveler, Sun Yu has a very clear understanding of his career path.

During the growth period, it is essential to firmly establish your position within the club and find a club that can grow alongside you.

For example, a club like Manchester United can turn a player who has never played in a professional league into "the next Cristiano Ronaldo".

Bebe opened the scoring for Manchester United against Wolves, scoring on his debut for the club – a phenomenal start for any player.

Even though he spent most of his playing time outside the system, he was backed by Manchester United and made his professional debut.

Even though the media questioned his abilities, they all expressed the same sentiment in their reports: "This young man plays well!"

Bebe played well because Ferguson was very good at spotting players most of the time.

With Manchester United, the aircraft carrier of English football, no one believed that Bebe's transfer was a huge mistake.

But from another perspective, once a player is released by Manchester United, that player is absolutely "finished" in everyone's eyes.

Manchester United gave up on him, which means his talent is just so-so. Nobody likes a loser with "average" talent.

Joining a powerhouse like Manchester United is like a meteoric rise for a young player, instantly granting them top-tier exposure and global recognition.

But being at Manchester United is a double-edged sword for every player; they are expected to perform well because they are Manchester United players.

If their performance is unsatisfactory, it will be a huge mistake.

The media will find reasons for the downfall of geniuses from all angles; if they are abandoned, it is tantamount to exile no matter where they go.

Sun Yu felt it would be difficult for him to join Manchester United, firstly because the team only had three years left to develop its talent pool, and secondly because he would likely become Rooney's wingman in the team.

The biggest difference between Sun Yu and other players is that he is destined to become a top player.

He doesn't need to realize his potential; what he needs is room to grow and control over his career.

Money was not an issue at this stage; in fact, throughout his entire career, money was merely a byproduct of his influence.

What he needs to do now is to be an indispensable part of the team and take responsibility for the results through his performance.

Pulis spent twenty minutes at the press conference, ten of which were spent talking about Sun Yu.

Reporter: "When you signed Sun Yu, did you expect him to perform like this?"

Pulis: "The job of a head coach is not to set expectations for players and make them play within stereotypes, but to adjust their playing time and role based on their performance."

"From the perspective of immediate impact, the player ranked second in the top scorers list can obtain a unique tactical status in any club."

Reporter: "Judging from the game, Sun Yu is a very expressive player, and the whole locker room likes him a lot, is that right?"

Pulis: "Yes, we value ability and a sense of responsibility more than team seniority."

"If you watched the whole game, you would know that he brought more than just two goals to the team."

Reporter: "Based on our understanding, Sun Yu is very likely to be called up to the Chinese national team in January next year. This will definitely have an impact on the team. Would you support him going to continental competitions?"

Pulis shook his head: "It's not that simple. Although we haven't discussed this specifically yet, if he comes to me for advice, I'll tell him to think it over carefully."

"He's at the most important stage of his career, and nobody knows what will happen in the two months he leaves in December and comes back in February."

"In my opinion, even if the Chinese team wins the Asian Cup, his gains cannot compare to staying with the team."

Reporter: "If he can maintain this level of performance, he will definitely become a target for other teams after the season ends. Have you ever had this concern?"

Pulis continued to shake his head: "I can't predict the future. If a player wants to leave, there's no point in worrying about it now."

"I'm more concerned with what we can do this season. Seize the moment, and we'll see hope for the future."

The Chinese media were clearly paying close attention to Sun Yu's situation in England. They received news that The Times suggested the FA should make plans and that Pulis did not recommend Sun Yu play in the Asian Cup. They also sent Xiao Gao to continue to keep in touch with Sun Yu.

On the phone, Coach Gao would mostly make promises and paint a rosy picture, and Sun Yu would give him three minutes each time, not even a second more.

Sun Yu wanted him to understand his meaning: No.

The day after the League Cup fourth round concluded, Stoke City received bad news and uncertainty about their future.

10 month 30 day.

Premier League Round 10.

Stoke City lost 0-1 to Everton at Goodison Park.

With only two days between this match and the fourth round of the League Cup, Pulis made only three changes to the lineup.

Sun Yu and Delap returned to the starting lineup, while Walters rotated into the game.

Everton had a poor start to the season, managing only 10 points in the first nine rounds, so Moyes simply opted to rotate his squad and give up on the League Cup.

Everton fielded a 4-2-3-1 formation. Everton's midfield strength was already superior to Stoke City's, and coupled with their abundant energy, they controlled the game from start to finish.

Without support from their teammates, Sun Yu and Walters have been fighting alone.

Stoke City defended with all their might, but still conceded a goal in the second half.

At the end of the match, Everton had 65% possession, 20 shots, and 8 shots on target.

Stoke City had 11 shots, none of which were on target, and the opposing goalkeeper failed to make a single save.

After the match ended, Sun Yu could only sigh.

This is the consequence of a weaker team trying to compete in cup matches, but Pulis remained resolute after the game: "We didn't play to our level, and there's nothing to complain about about losing, but the players' performance deserves recognition."

Stoke City have plenty of points to squander, but West Ham United would be missing out big time.

They failed to win the League Cup and then lost to Arsenal in the league.

West Ham United parked the bus for the entire match, but Arsenal still managed to breach their goal in the 88th minute.

If they aren't relegated, who will?

Of the seven Premier League teams that won in the fourth round of the League Cup, only Manchester United and Arsenal managed to secure a victory, while the remaining five teams failed to win.

This is the difference between elite teams and ordinary teams. Everyone has enough rest time, and every Premier League team can compete with the elite teams.

When it comes to cup competitions, the squad disadvantages of mid-to-lower-tier Premier League teams are fully exposed.

The only unknown news for Stoke City is that they have drawn Manchester United in the League Cup quarter-finals.

On the day the draw was completed, after training, Pulis specifically pulled Sun Yu aside and asked, "What are your thoughts on that matter?"

Sun Yu looked puzzled: "Which thing? Boss, the way you're asking makes me think of a lot of things."

"For example, the Chinese national team, the British national team, brand events, underwear endorsements... and there are several others I can't recall."

[Pris's defense penetration value +20]

Pulis said helplessly, "I thought you were thinking about the Asian Cup. I can't control what happens to the British team. I advise you not to participate in brand events and not to lower your standards to the level of a model."

"What the hell is this underwear endorsement thing? It's disgusting."

They're bashing my brother Luo.

"Let me finish. The Chinese Football Association contacted the club yesterday, saying that if they would allow you to participate in the Asian Cup, they would arrange two friendly matches during the off-season and pay us £200 million. How come your Football Association is so rich?"

"Logically speaking, the Chinese team should have won quite a few Asian Cup titles, so why are they so concerned about such a small competition?"

"I hope you don't go. If you were in the team, Manchester United would probably use a rotated squad for the League Cup."

"They are now seven points behind Chelsea, and if Ferguson isn't senile, he won't take the risk."

Sun Yu smiled and spread his hands: "First, I never thought about playing in the Asian Cup. I'm not registered with the Chinese Football Association, so they have no right to call me up."

"Secondly, the Chinese national team has never won the Asian Cup."

Pulis shook his head: "Unbelievable, but it's better if you don't go."

"I gave Okoboy a new contract with a weekly wage of £1500. Don't give him any more money."

"He's currently dating a low-class white model and is even funding her training fees."

Sun Yu: "...If I give him money again in the future, I'll be his grandfather."

Pulis: "Your thought process is so illogical, never mind, I'm going to get back to work."

Okoboye's situation completely baffled Sun Yu: "The tolling of the bell signaled the return home, and in his life, it seemed to carry a touch of melancholy..."
