The next day, at Mary's house.

After breakfast, Mary was about to go out. "Honey, you stay home and rest. I have some errands to run."

"What's wrong?"

"I'm going to Eliza's company to settle my bill."

Upon hearing that it was Eliza Corporation, Ye Kai immediately stood up. "I'll go with you!"

"What are you going to do?"

"I'm going to see what the famous Eliza Corporation is like."

The security guard recognized Mary and let the car in.

The security guards here stopped Ye Kai and wouldn't let him go up.

Mary tried to negotiate with the security guard, but he refused to let her through.

Ye Kai then said to Mary, "You go up first, give me the car keys, I'll go to the car."

Mary handed the keys to Ye Kai and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry, I didn't expect the security guards here to be like this."

Ye Kai stood against the wall next to the chairman's office, waiting for Mary.

About twenty minutes later, Mary arrived. She knocked a few times on the door to the chairman's office and then pushed the door open and went in.

Ye Kai quickly followed her into the office. Mary closed the door and went to the chairman.

Mary greeted him politely, "Hello, Mr. William."

William looked up. "Mary, sit down."

Mary sat down in the chair opposite William and handed him the documents she was holding.

"Mr. William, all my paperwork is complete. Please take a look."

William didn't take the documents. "Mary, why do you insist on quitting?"

"I feel that I am not capable of meeting the company's requirements and cannot delay the company's business expansion in the Jiangzhou area. In order not to affect the company's development, I want to resign."

William shook his head. "No, that's not what you really think. I've always had high hopes for you, and I believe you're one of the best candidates for the position of Director of the Greater China Region."

"But I don't need Eliza!"

William waved his arms excitedly, "No, you can't just think about your own interests! You have to consider Eliza's development and the interests of the Great Eagle Empire!"

"Because they are an inferior race, they don't deserve to live on this planet with us. We want to destroy them with genetically modified foods, leaving at most 200 million people to help us farm."

Mary was incredulous. "Isn't this incredibly cruel?"

"It's not cruel at all. There are already too many people in this world. The vast majority of them are superfluous and have no value whatsoever!"

They are wasting food and resources just by living! The world's resources are finite, and if this continues, they will eventually be exhausted!

Mary gaped in astonishment; it was the first time she had ever heard such a viewpoint.

"Mr. William, how can you think like that? We're all human beings, why can't the people of Great Xia live?"

"Yes, they are an inferior race and should disappear from the world. We are still merciful and will leave them 200 million people!"

Ye Kai could no longer bear it, so he reached out and pinched William's chin, forcing him to open his mouth, and stuffed a pill into it.

Mary couldn't see Ye Kai, but she saw William open his mouth and swallow a pill, which she found very strange.

"OK."

Mary went out and soon came back in with several documents.

Under Ye Kai's control, William obediently signed and stamped the share transfer agreement and the abdication statement.

"Okay, Mary, you're now the chairperson of this company."

"Oh, I'm the chairman now?"

"Yes, Miss Mary."

"That's great!" Mary hugged Ye Kai.

"Don't get agitated, let me interrogate William first."

Ye Kai felt that William's actions were very similar to those of Shadow, and suspected that he was one of Shadow's men.
