Ye Kai glared at Stendhal, and two beams of white light shot out, taking control of Stendhal's brain.

Ye Kai commanded, "Stendhal, I now order you to notify all Shadow core members to hold a meeting here in three days!"

Stendhal obediently followed Ye Kai's instructions and posted the notification on the computer.

Once the matter was settled, Ye Kai took out his laser gun and aimed it at Stendhal. A flash of white light appeared, and Stendhal turned into a pile of ashes.

He then pulled the trigger on Wood, who was kneeling on the ground. After a flash of white light, Wood turned into a pile of ashes.

Joseph was so terrified that he knelt on the ground and kowtowed, "Please, spare my life!"

Ye Kai wanted to test Joseph, "You and your wife, only one of you can live. What would you choose?"

Joseph said without hesitation, "Kill me, but spare my wife."

"If you die, your wife will find another man, live in your house, sleep in your bed, are you willing to accept that?"

"As long as she lives, I will die without regrets."

"Are you truly satisfied with your life?"

"Yes, kill me."

Ye Kai aimed the laser gun at Joseph, who then closed his eyes.

Ivka knelt before Ye Kai, pleading, "Sir, please spare my husband! I'm willing to die in his place!"

"After you die, he'll find another woman, live in your house, sleep in your bed. Would you be willing to accept that?"

Ifka said firmly, "I'm willing, as long as he can live."

"Alright, then I'll grant your wish!"

Ye Kai raised the laser gun, and with a "hiss!" sound, he made a sound to scare the couple.

Ivka and Joseph both closed their eyes. After a while, they realized they were not dead. When they opened their eyes, Ye Kai was looking at them with a grin.

"You two are really sincere, get up now."

Knowing that Ye Kai was not going to kill them, the two quickly thanked him, "Thank you, sir, for sparing our lives."

"Joseph, you're not a truly wicked person, so I'll spare your life if you're willing to harm me for your wife. But you have to do one thing."

"Please speak, sir."

"You stay here and help me greet the Shadow personnel who are coming for the meeting."

"Yes, sir," Joseph said respectfully.

Ye Kai left Joseph behind for a reason. All the Shadow personnel in the church had been eliminated, and a conference was to be held in three days. He needed a familiar face to greet the attendees.

Joseph is the chief instructor of the 12th grade. He is quick-witted, eloquent, and a suitable candidate.

Ye Kai had Ivka change into a nun's habit and stay in the church.

Three days later, at nine o'clock in the morning, members of the Shadow organization began to arrive at the church. As soon as they stepped into the courtyard, they were taken control of by robots and locked in the church's basement.

Around 9:30, all the Shadow core members who attended the meeting arrived and were imprisoned in the basement.

Ye Kai counted; there were 1,013 people.

These people were filled with unease. They didn't know what was happening. As soon as they entered the church, they were escorted to the basement by their arms.

They looked back but couldn't see anyone; they couldn't resist at all.

They were unaware that the archbishop was dead, and dared not speak aloud, whispering amongst themselves.

Ye Kai waved his hand, and hundreds of robots pulled the triggers at the same time. Beams of white light shot out, and more than a thousand Shadow Core members were quickly turned into ashes.

The Shadows, this ambitious and infamous underground organization, were completely wiped out.

Ye Kai waved to Joseph, "You guys go home. Keep what happened here a secret once you get out."

Joseph and Ivka were extremely grateful, saying, "Thank you, sir, for letting us go. We would rather die than utter a single word."

Watching the two walk away, Ye Kai breathed a sigh of relief. Shadow was gone, and he could finally take a proper vacation.

Just as he was about to leave the church, a luxury sports car and a van pulled up in front of the church.

Eight bodyguards got out of the van, and a tall, voluptuous young woman with perfectly defined features stepped out of the sports car.

This young woman's looks and figure were almost on par with Isabella's; both had angelic faces, large pear-shaped figures, broad shoulders, a slim waist, and plump hips.

The young woman arrived at the door under the protection of bodyguards. The door was tightly closed, and the woman took out her mobile phone to make a call.

Ye Kai guessed that the young woman and Stendhal were very familiar with each other, so he had the robot open the door and let them in.

Surrounded by bodyguards, the young woman entered the lobby and headed straight for Stendhal's office.

The young woman found it strange that the church was so quiet today, with not a single person in sight.

She knocked on the door, but no one answered.

She ordered her bodyguard to open the door, but the office was empty. She searched everywhere but couldn't find Stendhal.

Just as she was wondering what was going on, Ye Kai came in from outside.

She quickly asked, "Where did your archbishop go?"

"He went out on business. Please sit down and wait a moment."

"Where did he go? Why isn't he answering his phone?"

"I don't know, and I wouldn't dare ask him where he went."

"That's true." The young woman looked Ye Kai up and down. "What's your name?"

"My name is Tom."

"Oh, Tom? I think I've seen you before."

"Who are you, ma'am?"

"I am Sofia."

Ye Kai had no idea who Sophia was. He checked inside the jade gourd and was shocked.

Who would have thought that Sofia is the daughter of the current Governor General of the United States!

He was very curious about the relationship between Sofia and Stendhal.

"Oh, it's Ms. Sophia. I have indeed seen you before."

"I knew you looked familiar, Tom. Could you contact the archbishop and ask when he's coming back?"

"No, my rank doesn't allow me to contact the archbishop directly."

Sofia paced anxiously, "We're at the point where things are really urgent, we can't worry about anything else now."

"What happened?"

"Didn't he tell me there would be an all-staff meeting today? It's so late, why is no one here? This is urgent!"

"Oh, the thing you're talking about, maybe he changed the location of the meeting."

"Impossible. All the headquarters meetings are held here. He sent the notification here."

Ye Kai understood; Sophia was also a member of Shadow, and who knew how many other Shadow members were hiding outside.

"Then why are you only arriving now?"

"Something came up and I'm in a bit of a rush. Have you been here the whole time?"

"Yes."

"Didn't you notice anything unusual here?"

"There's nothing unusual."

"Where did everyone else go?"

"They all went with the archbishop."

"Why didn't you go with the archbishop?"

"He asked me to stay and watch the house."

"Are you going to be left alone to look after the house?"

"yes."

Sofia's expression changed, and she ordered her bodyguards, "Take him down!"

No one came up, and no one answered.

Sofia was puzzled. She turned around and was shocked to see that all eight bodyguards were kneeling on the ground.
