As Ye Kai walked, he pulled on his pants and shirt, muttering, "Who is it?"

The door opened, and the fat man stood there anxiously, saying, "Brother Kai, Third Brother is dying. He wants to see you one last time!"

"What happened?"

"I was attacked with a knife this morning and I'm in the hospital now!"

"Walk!"

Ye Kai didn't even have time to close the door before jumping into the Iveco van. The van sped off, arriving at the town hospital in just over twenty minutes.

Bad Three was lying on the operating table in the emergency room, his face ashen and his eyes closed due to excessive blood loss.

The fat man approached Bad Third and called out, "Third Brother, Brother Kai is here!"

Bad Three opened his eyes and saw Ye Kai; his eyes gleamed.

"Brother Kai, I can't take it anymore..."

"Don't talk, just rest well, you'll be fine."

"Don't try to comfort me, I know I'm not going to make it."

Bad Three coughed a few times, and with all his might, said with difficulty, "I'm entrusting my brothers to Brother Kai, and my businesses as well..."

"No, no, I can't take your assets!"

Ye Kai quickly refused, but Bad Three had already closed his eyes and couldn't hear anything.

The fat man shouted, "Third Brother, wake up! Third Brother, wake up!"

Hearing the fat man's shout, the thugs who had been standing outside rushed in. When they saw that Bad Three was dead, they all burst into tears.

Suddenly, someone shouted, "Avenge Third Brother!"

The dozens of thugs all turned to leave, but the fat man quickly went to the door, spread his arms, and blocked their way. He shouted, "No one is allowed to leave without my order!"

"Why? We must avenge Third Brother!"

"My third brother told me before he died that I was not allowed to seek revenge!"

"Why? Did Third Brother die in vain?"

"Third Brother said that the opponent is very strong and cannot be dealt with by our few dozen people."

Also, Third Brother has entrusted us to Brother Kai, so from now on we must obey Brother Kai in all our actions!

Everyone's attention was focused on Ye Kai.

Ye Kai quickly waved his hand, "I can't be your eldest brother!"

Ye Kai said with difficulty, "I don't like fighting and killing, so I'm not suitable to be your eldest brother."

"Third Brother said, we'll do whatever you tell us to do!"

"Then I'll let you sell watermelons, would you be willing?"

Everyone answered in unison, "Yes!"

"Alright, starting today, you'll be in charge of delivering watermelons."

"Yes, Brother Kai!"

The crowd dispersed, leaving only the three leaders: Fatty, Big Head, and Frog.

Ye Kai asked, "Who killed Bad Three?"

The fat man shook his head. "I don't know the specifics yet. Third Brother took a girl to the Peach Blossom Hotel last night, and the brothers can't bother him."

This morning, I went to his room to ask for permission, but there was no response after knocking on the door for a long time.

I asked the waiter to open the door, and that's when I found my third brother had been stabbed several times and was unconscious. The woman was nowhere to be found.

Big Head and Frog said angrily, "It must have been that woman. If I find her, I'll tear her to pieces and avenge Third Brother!"

"Have you reported it to the police?"

The police won't care; as those cops would say, "Every death is one less menace."

"What other family members does Bad Three have?"

The fat man shook his head. "Third Brother is an orphan. He has no family."

The frog said, "I remember Third Brother used to have a wife, but they got divorced later."

Big Head spat, "Pah! Why bring her up after the divorce? A heartless woman who ran away after spending all of Third Brother's money!"

"Here's what we'll do: you guys take care of Bad Three's funeral arrangements, and at the same time, find out who the woman who was with Bad Three last night was."

The three replied, "Yes, Brother Kai!"

Just as Ye Kai was about to leave, Chen Man appeared in front of him. She was wearing a white coat and a mask, looking like a holy angel in white.

Chen Man beckoned to Ye Kai, "Ye Kai, come with me for a moment."

Ye Kai followed Chen Man to her office.

"Congratulations, Ye Kai!" Chen Man said sarcastically.

What do you mean?

"Now that you've taken over from Bad Third and become the boss, with hundreds of henchmen under your command and tens of millions in assets, you're all very powerful and influential. Isn't that something to celebrate?"

"Who said I was going to be the boss?"

"You think I don't know? I heard from them that Bad Three handed over all these henchmen to you."

"That's true. I didn't want to answer, and before I could explain, he hung up."

"Don't worry about me, how are you doing now?"

Chen Man frowned slightly. "I'm not feeling well."

"What's wrong?"

"I'm no good at anything."

Chen Man rolled her eyes at Ye Kai and said resentfully, "You've defiled me. No one wants to marry me now. Do you think I'll be alright?"

"Didn't we make it clear that we were trying to save you?"

"Then go all the way and save him, be my boyfriend!"

"Didn't you look down on me?"

"Well, to be honest, I didn't think much of you at first, but later I realized you have a lot of potential and are worth nurturing."

"Thank you for your kind words, Dr. Chen. May I leave now?"

"You can't leave!"

Chen Man put her hands on Ye Kai's shoulders and pulled him into her arms, their noses almost touching.

Ye Kai saw two burning flames in Chen Man's eyes.
