Having scared Mary away, Ye Kai decided to press his advantage.

He arrived at the guesthouse located at the southernmost part of the village, at the foot of Peach Blossom Mountain.

In front of the guesthouse is a lake that is two or three kilometers in circumference, called Peach Blossom Lake.

The guesthouse faces Peach Blossom Lake and is backed by Peach Blossom Mountain, boasting excellent feng shui.

The guesthouse is run by Ye Erzhu, who is also Ye Erniang's husband.

The window suddenly opened, and Jack poked his head out, yelling, "Who's there? What's going on?!"

Within a few rounds, two of the three scoundrels had already been knocked down.

Wai Zui panicked; he hadn't expected Jack to be so powerful.

They knew they couldn't win in a fight, and running away wasn't an option either, leaving them in a dilemma.

Jack had taken down two, and with only one left, he wasn't in a hurry. He wanted to slowly toy with Crooked Mouth.

He beckoned with a crooked grin, "Hello, ghost, come on!"

The crooked-mouthed one dared not step forward.

"I'll hit you!"

Jack yelled and suddenly lunged forward, startling Crooked Mouth so much that he quickly took a few steps back and almost fell.

Seeing Crooked Mouth's disheveled appearance, Jack burst into laughter.

He said sarcastically, "You're no good, you're too cowardly. You should take off your clothes and let me see your true face."

Jack stepped forward to remove the white shirt and hat that were worn by the man with the crooked mouth.

Ye Kai used his One-Finger Divine Skill to remotely press Jack's Huantiao acupoint.

Jack was charging forward when suddenly his leg went numb, and he fell to the ground.

Crooked Mouth was a seasoned veteran with extensive fighting experience; he wouldn't let this golden opportunity slip by.

He pounced on Jack and rained blows on his face.

Jack was stunned, seeing stars, and though he wanted to fight back, he was powerless to retaliate.

Because the crooked-mouthed fists rained down on his head and body.

Li Liang and Ding Ergou got up and came to help. They both hated Jack for being so ruthless and showing no mercy.

The three men punched and kicked Jack until he passed out.

"Alright, stop fighting. It'll be troublesome if they kill each other." The man with the crooked mouth signaled for the two to stop.

"Don't forget why we came here!"

The two men each kicked Jack. "Damn it, aren't you supposed to be a good fighter? Why don't you get up and fight?"

"You damned foreign devil, I'll kill you!"

The three of them went to Mary's room window. After being frightened by Ye Kai, Mary went to the bathroom to take a shower, so she didn't hear the noise outside.

She had just wrapped herself in her bathrobe when she heard strange noises outside. She opened the window and saw three ghosts suddenly appear in front of her, staring with red eyes and sticking out long, scarlet tongues.

Isn't this the legendary hanged ghost?

Normally, Mary would be scared, but not overly nervous.

Today won't do. She had just been frightened by Ye Kai and fled in panic, and then she was startled by the sudden appearance of the hanged ghost, which made her faint.

"I was passing by and saw a ghost. You were so scared you fainted, so I came to check it out."

Mary asked, still shaken, "Where's the ghost?"

"I chased him away."

"In the past, some people here were persecuted by landlords and rich people. They couldn't live any longer, so they chose to hang themselves."

They felt they had died unjustly and wanted revenge. Seeing a wealthy person like you, they assumed you were a rich landlord and came to settle scores with you.

"But I'm not a landlord or a rich man!"

"These ghosts can't tell the difference; they often mistake someone like you for a wealthy landlord."

"That's terrifying, absolutely terrifying..."

Mary kept talking to herself.

Ye Kai stood up. "Now that you're awake, I'm relieved. I'm going back now."

"Don't go, I'm scared!" Mary rushed over and hugged Ye Kai.
