It's not dark yet, so the haunted house isn't very scary.

Moreover, it's a haunted house that's been abandoned for a long time; it's actually just a house filled with junk.

The haunted houses used to be made of machinery, but now they're all scattered and lying on the ground.

Bai Zhizhi cautiously walked in, constantly sensing the presence of the ghost.

As Bai Zhizhi delved deeper into the conversation, the live stream gradually became more lively.

[Wow, baby's so brave! Aren't you afraid at all?]

[Could there really be ghosts in that abandoned haunted house?]

[If there really is a ghost, isn't that the corpse they're looking for?]

Bai Zhizhi turned into the passage, where the light was partially blocked, and his vision gradually darkened.

After making a series of left and right turns, they should have returned to the exit by now, but Bai Zhizhi was still inside.

In the end, they inexplicably ended up on a dead end.

"Did Zhizhi go the wrong way?" Bai Zhizhi returned the way she came, only to find herself back at the same dead end.

[Have you been here before?]

Did I get lost in a maze?

"A ghost wall..." Bai Zhizhi murmured, "It must be a ghost trying to keep me here. Zhizhi was right, the ghost is right here."

She placed her small hand on the wall: "With heaven and earth merged, there is only one path that can lead Zhizhi to the corpse."

Then she sat down on the ground, took out a stack of yellow talismans, drew only one talisman, and stuck it on the blocked wall: "Ghost, don't hurt Zhizhi, Zhizhi is here to save you. Please lead Zhizhi to the right path."

The remaining yellow talismans had no patterns drawn on them; they were simply used to mark the paths Bai Zhizhi had walked.

When they reached a corner, Bai Zhizhi put up a talisman, and sure enough, when they came back around, the wall blocking their way was gone.

The road is open.

Bai Zhizhi was overjoyed: "Thank you for taking Zhizhi away! Next, I'll take Zhizhi to find you too!"

The little guy waddled forward with big strides, and the live stream chat exploded.

[Am I seeing things? She clearly walked back to where she was before, but there's no wall blocking her way anymore?]

[Hasn't this script already started to veer towards fantasy?]

[Now that you mention it, this kid looks kind of familiar.]

Soon, with the help of the ghost, the path Bai Zhizhi took from then on was personally chosen by the ghost.

As you walk towards the entrance of the monitoring room inside the haunted house, a black wooden door that blends seamlessly into the interior comes into view.

The door was originally locked, but when Bai Zhizhi walked over, the lock clicked open by itself.

Bai Zhizhi tilted her little head back, looking at the empty space, and said, "Thank you!"

No one responded to her, and she didn't care at all, pushing open the door to enter the monitoring room.

As soon as the door was pushed open, the first thing that came into view was a skeleton tied to a wooden chair, with a hole smashed open in the back of its head.

Bai Zhizhi sensed the surrounding life force. The skeleton belonged to a woman who had been tied up here and died from bleeding from the back of her head and starvation.

"That big bad guy must really hate this person, right?" Bai Zhizhi thought.

In front of the skeleton was a monitoring table, and there seemed to be something on the table.

Bai Zhizhi couldn't see, so he moved a chair from the side and stepped onto it.

It's a photograph.

To be precise, it's a group photo that evokes a sense of nostalgia.

The photos have been sitting for so long that they're too fragile to touch, or they'll shatter.

The photo showed five young people who looked to be eighteen or nineteen years old, two men and three women. Bai Zhizhi was pleasantly surprised after seeing it.

"Aren't these the people who died?"

She looked at the skeleton beside her and, with her special ability, could tell who she was in the photograph.

The skeleton corresponds to the second girl from the left in the photo, who had the most fashionable hairstyle at the time and was smiling happily at the camera.

The other skeletons also matched up.

"So the ghosts called 'Knowledge Comes' are the five people in the photo? There are five ghosts?"

Bai Zhizhi's gaze swept over the faces of the young people one by one, and he paused when he saw the last person.

She was a girl who looked a little shy, and she was squeezed into the corner of the photo.

"This older sister isn't dead?"

And the first four people in the photo are all big bad guys, aren't they?

All the bad guys died, except for the kind sister who survived.

"How strange..." Bai Zhizhi murmured.

How did this photo end up here?

When the camera inadvertently panned across the skeletal remains nearby, netizens, hailed as the new Sherlock Holmes, immediately began their analysis.

[Don't you think this person kept looking at this photo before they died?]

[I noticed that too; isn't the angle at which the head is tilted downwards a deliberate choice to look that way?]

[So, was this photo shown to her by the murderer? Is the murderer the person in the photo?]

[Is showing her the photos meant to make her repent, to make her recall her crimes even in her final moments?]

[Really? You guys are so analytical!]

There are no other clues besides this photo.

Bai Zhizhi searched the entire monitoring room to make sure there was nothing else before leaving the haunted house.

"I wonder how Xingxing and Xiaoguan are doing?" Bai Zhizhi rushed to the water park as soon as she came out of the haunted house.

At the farthest point of the water park is a large, half-meter-deep swimming pool, its surface now covered with dust and leaves.

However, the entire water park was completely exposed, and there was no sign of Xingxing or Xie Guan at all, nor were there any other rooms nearby.

"Star!"

"Xiao Guan!"

"Where are you?" Bai Zhizhi shouted their names, her voice echoing in the empty water park.

No one responded to her; it was as if they had vanished into thin air.

"Stars..." Bai Zhizhi suddenly spotted a pink doll among a pile of leaves in the distance, and she quickly ran over to pick it up.

"They are the guardians of the stars!"

Bai Zhizhi began to worry.

Why did the guardian deity of the star fall? Did it encounter some danger?

It's alright, Xiao Guan is here to protect the stars.

Bai Zhizhi comforted herself again and again, holding the keychain doll in her hand, and closed her eyes to begin to sense.

"Xingxing and Xiaoguan came here...and met someone...that person didn't harm Xingxing, and took them away..."

Bai Zhizhi opened her eyes and then ran to the back of the amusement park, which happened to be the direction she had initially taken towards the water park.

The other ghostly presence wasn't in the water park at all, but further back in that direction.

At the back of the amusement park, there is a downward passage, surrounded by piles of dead leaves, so that even if someone passes by, they may not be able to see this passage.

That's right!

The starry sky, and the ghostly aura, are right below!

After confirming there was no one else around, Bai Zhizhi called out to those below, "Xingxing! Xiaoguan! Are you there?"

"I know!" Xingxing's excited voice immediately came from below: "Xingxing and Xiaoguan are down there, come down quickly!"

Bai Zhizhi breathed a sigh of relief, and the little short-legged girl quickly got downstairs.

She pushed open the door below and discovered that Xingxing and Xie Guan were actually locked in a prison inside the room!
