Wizard: This mushroom is too fierce.

Roland stared at the panel for a long time, and since he didn't have any Puji on hand, he had no choice but to give up for the time being and turn to look at another skill, "Basic Magic Plant Science".

This book, "Basic Magical Plant Science," was one of the small perks of participating in the experiment; I received it for free from that level one wizard.

This is the most precious thing Roland has besides the magic stone, without exception.

Because it is the foundation for becoming a plant magician, it is a prerequisite for the profession in the game.

In an instant, Roland seemed to think of a possibility: was it possible for him to become a plant magician?

[Basic Magic Plant Science (Beginner 10/50)]

[Occupation: Plant Apprentice]

After changing jobs:

1. Attribute growth (with a focus on improving the mental aspect)

2. Unlock basic professional skills---Magic Plant Cultivation, Plant Identification

3. Job Change Bonus:

Increased experience points gained from Plant Magic

Increased mental strength growth rate

[Increased Magic Affinity]

Job Change Requirements:

1. Basic Magical Plant Studies Level (Proficient)

2. Independently cultivate a magical plant.

Looking at the significant bonuses brought by the job change to Plant Apprentice, Roland's confidence in becoming a Wizard Apprentice after the time limit seemed to have increased considerably.

Roland placed "Basic Magical Plant Science" on the table, then picked up a quill pen and began to study it while flipping through the pages.

Learning is endless, and Roland loves learning. With the help of the control panel, every page turn, every recitation, and every thought brings a sense of progress.

After a brief period of study, Roland's panel beeped with a notification, followed by a moment of profound clarity. The mysteries he hadn't understood before began to be solved one by one, until Roland had fully digested and absorbed them.

Rather than saying Roland was learning, it would be more accurate to say he was mastering technology.

In the field of magical plant science, a towering tree appeared before Roland's eyes. At this moment, Roland was standing at the base of the tree, looking up at it, where endless knowledge lay.

With each advancement, Roland reaped the rewards he deserved, and these rewards were addictive; he was never satisfied.

The week passed quickly. During this week, apart from the necessary training time, Roland devoted almost all of his time to "Basic Magical Plant Science".

The mottled parchment scrolls are now covered with Roland's marks: numerous notes, scratches, and lists of questions.

"Most magical plants have high requirements for soil. When transplanting magical plants, a special nutrient solution needs to be mixed into the soil to maintain the activity of the soil's magic."

"Due to the high magical content of the soil in the Magic Plant Garden, omnivorous magical plants such as bullwhip can easily grow and steal nutrients. Please address this issue promptly."

With his eyes closed, Roland could now recite almost all the knowledge in "Basic Magical Plant Science," and even developed his own understanding of some parts.

For a week, Roland worked tirelessly, gaining a significant amount of experience points for his skills.

......

Almost every day, through unimaginable effort, Roland's proficiency in this skill has increased dramatically. Now, in the field of basic magic plant science, Roland has reached a new level.

[Basic Plant Magic (Beginner 10/50)] → [Basic Plant Magic (Proficient 6/100)]

The first requirement for the Plant Apprentice to become a job has been met; only the second requirement remains.

Time is running out, another week has passed.

After resting for a while, Roland prepared to go out and find a suitable magical plant seed.

.......

The Deep Cavern Academy is located in the southern part of the Wizarding World, between the Garon Mountains and the Codo Canyon. This area was once a battlefield of an interdimensional invasion. After the war ended, the Dean of the Deep Cavern came here and established the academy.

Roland is currently in the academy's dormitory area. Looking around, every building is composed of towering, massive rock pillars. The rock pillar where Roland is currently standing is the candidate wizard building, which has the most people and is located on the outermost side of the academy. The closer you get to the inside, the fewer people there are inside the rock pillar, and the more personal space you have.

On the side of the rock pillar, there are three automatic floating staircases made entirely of obsidian. Roland waited for a moment at the entrance of the corresponding floor, and the staircase automatically sensed Roland's location and then led Roland to the ground.

The magical plant shop that Roland was going to was not located inside the academy; it was originally located at the entrance to the underground world.

Later, due to the dangers and other reasons, the academy specially opened up a commercial area to serve the shops opened by these wizards.

Upon arriving in the commercial district, Roland headed to a very famous magical plant shop: Lilith's Magical Plant House.

This is a very comprehensive magical plant shop, run by Lilith, a first-level wizard in the academy.

"Hey, it really is you, Roland."

A surprised voice rang in Roland's ears. He looked up and saw a tall man in a black apprentice robe walking out of the magic plant shop.

The man's blond curly hair was messily placed in front of his forehead, and he had a lazy look on his face, as if he would never wake up.

"It's been a long time, Ize, the future great adventurer!" Roland replied with a smile.

Ize, a second-class wizard, is better than Roland. He and Roland are from the same place and were both wizard seeds raised by the Duke of Bauhinia. They are among the few friends from the same batch who still keep in touch and have a good relationship.

"What are you doing here? There are less than two months left until the assessment ends!"

Ize asked in confusion. He had heard about the experiment Roland was involved in. It was dangerous, but the reward was quite generous. As long as you participated, you could get five magic stones. Compared to when the prospective apprentices were still haggling over magic stone fragments, Roland had already become a tycoon.

But if you want to increase your cultivation speed, shouldn't you go to a magic potion shop? What's the point of going to a magic plant shop?

"I'm here to buy a magic plant seed, so I can cultivate one myself," Roland replied.

"You want to become a plant magician?" Ize's expression gradually turned serious. He felt that his fellow villager friend might be ill.

"I have that idea." Roland nodded.

Plant magicians, though not as popular as alchemists and potion makers, are still exceptionally prestigious in the deep caverns. According to Ize's understanding, among the apprentices who came with them, apart from those with extraordinary talents, very few were able to become members of these professions through their own efforts.

"Roland, as your friend, I still want to advise you to stop. This path is not for those without talent."

"You only have first-class aptitude. Now that you've barely survived the experiment and have a surplus of magic stones, you should invest them in meditation, buy some potions that can increase your mental strength, speed up your rune condensation, and quickly improve your basic meditation skills. Strive to break through in the remaining days and become a third-class wizard apprentice."
