Wizard: This mushroom is too fierce.

Chapter 57: Enzo's Shattered

After the first battle ended with the mob fight, Roland experienced three more battles, two of which were against architects, wizard apprentices who were pursuing the magic sub-direction of earth elemental golems.

Their combat power was low. The standard configuration of these wizard apprentices was a simple earth elemental golem, without even standard magical parts or equipment. It was just a pure golem core with little combat power. They were not as good as the beast tamer witch that Roland first encountered, who was defeated with just two standard combat squads.

Roland also learned the reason from them and found that there were too many wizard apprentices in the academy who followed this school of thought, and the magical parts of the earth elemental golems were in short supply, so the price was high.

Besides these two people, Roland also encountered a wizard apprentice who was pursuing the magic of necromancy. He came from a small wizarding organization outside the world: the Bone Burning Hut, a small white wizarding organization that specialized in burning bones and selling bone meal.

The skeletons he summoned were so weak that Roland couldn't bear to look at them. He simply sent out a small squad of minions, who easily defeated them.

As evening approached, the final battle finally arrived.

"It's your turn, Lord Roland. Your opponent is Enzo Rafa, a contracted apprentice of the Fireball Cult from within the Student Union."

Roland stepped onto the ring and found his opponent slowly walking out of the passage.

Enzo also saw Roland, his eyes gleaming with excitement. As he stood on the ring, he exhaled a deep breath and murmured, "Finally, I've made it this far!"

"Finally, I've successfully stood under the spotlight of thousands."

"Defeat Roland and become famous overnight!" Enzo raised his head and looked at the long-haired girl in the stands: "Annie, I will definitely win."

Enzo turned his gaze to Roland, his face grave. "Roland, release your summoned beast."

"I've seen your fight." Enzo's face showed a confident expression. "I suggest you release your entire Puji squad."

"I am a wizarding apprentice specializing in the fire magic sub-field within the Evocation school, and I am best at fighting you plant-based wizarding apprentices."

"Especially for a plant wizard apprentice like you who cultivates wood-attribute summons."

"One fireball from me and a huge number of your summoned creatures will be killed!"

Enzo's voice was specially amplified by magic, as if he wanted everyone watching around the arena to hear it, especially his sweetheart, Annie.

"Oh?" Roland's gaze turned cold. For some reason, he disliked the person in front of him.

"Are you a wizarding apprentice following the school of magical manipulation?" Roland chuckled softly, "or a wizarding apprentice specializing in the subfield of fire magic?"

"You're really lucky to have run into me!" Roland's voice turned cold, his gaze icy. He stretched out his palm and said bluntly, "I won't trouble my summoned creature."

"I've always preferred to handle fire-based energy-manipulating wizards myself!"

The next moment, Roland raised his right hand, and in the blink of an eye, a giant purple mushroom the size of a ball appeared behind him.

"Floating Puff-shroom!"

"Shoot it all out!"

"I hate fire-based evocation wizards the most!"

Rumble

In the blink of an eye, jets of hard, transparent purple bubbles, as hard as iron, shot out from the mouth of the jet mushroom with lightning speed and landed on Enzo in an instant.

"I..." Enzo's pupils widened; he wasn't ready yet.

"puff!....."

A series of blows caused Enzo to cough up blood. He staggered to the ground, his eyes filled with exhaustion.

impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

Roland is a summoner, so where are his puji?

I want to defeat him in front of everyone and become famous overnight. How can I just fall like this? I'm not reconciled. I still want to propose to Annie...

Enzo forced his eyes open and saw something he would never forget for the rest of his life.

"Senior Roland, congratulations on winning all five rounds! You're amazing, defeating a fire-type wizard apprentice so easily."

"My name is Anne Hathaway. This is my business card. I am also a wizarding apprentice specializing in extraordinary cultivation. I currently work at the Witchcraft Workshop. If you need an assistant, please consider me first."

The beautiful red-haired girl, her beloved, was standing in the stands, her most beautiful face on display, carefully talking to the man who had defeated her.

Enzo clutched his chest in anguish, weeping silently...

"Hey student, get up." A sweet, cloying voice sounded from beside Enzo. He looked up and saw a witch in a white wizard's robe saying, "Your injuries have been healed."

"According to the rules of the Bloodflame Arena, you will need to pay for the treatment."

"The spell used this time is the apprentice-level healing spell 'Healing of Tentacles,' and the magical material used is 'Socrates Green Leaf.'"

"The total cost is five magic stones. Please settle the account!" The witch handed over a contract at the same time: "If you don't have enough magic stones, you can choose to sign a duel loan from the arena and become a gladiator in the arena!"

"Win, gain magic stones; lose, deduct magic stones until you pay off your debt."

Her voice was sweet, but her words were hurtful. Enzo looked at the contract and his empty bag, then at his beloved Roland who was trying to show his best side to him. He immediately coughed up blood and fainted from the shock.

"Wow... this student, please be alright..." The witch's face lit up with joy. She hadn't expected her junior to be so badly injured. She could make a fortune from him now.

.......

The following day, Roland won all five of his matches, advancing to the final with an overwhelming victory.

On the day of the finals, Roland's friends and fellow students all came to the venue to cheer him on.

Olivia, his best friend, arrived early. Today, she was wearing a red, tight-fitting wizard's robe, similar to a cheongsam, with black high heels on her feet and light makeup on her face.

She slowly walked to Roland's side, then gently nudged him in the chest: "May your...strength be unleashed."

Roland rubbed his chest and quickly retorted, "That's called a resounding victory!"

"What do you mean by 'a resounding victory'..." Another member of World Leaf, 'Alena', also rushed over. She was petite, like a little girl, and she looked up, stood on tiptoe, and asked Olivia's chest, "Is that some new wizarding term?"

"Hehe..." Roland chuckled and said softly, "It's just a little secret between Ms. Olivia and me."

Is this a form of knowledge brainwashing?

These were things Roland had told Olivia during a break in her potions class. He was surprised that she actually remembered them and even specially brought them over for him.

"Oh, by the way, this is for you. Hope you find it useful!"

Olivia blinked her amber eyes, and then three vials of potions emitting a pale blue glow suddenly appeared in her hand.

"A mana potion!" Olivia's little face lit up with joy. "It's for you!"

"I crafted this myself... You're the backbone of our World Leaf team, you absolutely must win the championship!"

"And me..." Alena, wearing a little red hat, was very short. She jumped up and opened her palm, and dozens of red metal spheres appeared in front of Roland.

"This is the precious treasure I prepared for you!"

"A clay bomb that I designed and built myself!"

"It only takes three seconds, and then there will be a rumble..."

Looking at the potion and clay bomb in his hand, Roland's face showed emotion. He covered his face, looking like he was about to cry, "I'm so moved..."

"This feels amazing!" Roland suppressed his emotions. The penniless [World Leaf] was finally starting to receive positive feedback. They were finally starting to feel like a team.

What the hell was that before, you bastard!

Alena, who had no presence, and Olivia, who kept asking me for money... I've finally made it through.

"If you're so touched..." Olivia grinned mischievously, crossing her arms playfully, "Then I won't be returning the magic stones I borrowed from you!"

"No way!" Roland straightened his face and showed a firm expression. Olivia, that money-loser, has been borrowing magic stones from him every day. It must have been several hundred magic stones by now. It's only because he has extra magic stones that he can afford to borrow them. Anyone else would have turned against him long ago.

"Interest on interest..."

"By my teacher's standards for loan sharks, you'll probably have to pay me back for the rest of your life!" Roland muttered, then suffered a painful blow!

......

"How about it, are you confident?" In no time, Senior Moro, dressed in knight's armor, arrived beside Roland with a group of people: "The final will be a free-for-all, and the academy will divide the area and control the weather inside the arena."

"Roland... I've assessed the performance of the other nine finalists for you, and I found that they are all outstanding, each a third-class apprentice who has gone very deep in their respective magical fields."

"The combat prowess and magical skill they've displayed suggest that your mere combat skills might not be enough to handle them!"
