A courtyard house, equipped with a fishing system, living in an era.

After reporting Du Ping's matter to Du Wei, Xu Pingan stopped paying attention to it for the time being.

He reported the matter to the authorities and dared not continue scouting the location, as it might cause a misunderstanding.

So, for the next few days, Xu Ping'an spent his time tending to the land in his space.

The biggest problem with the six acres of land is the lack of water!

When he only had one acre, Xu Ping'an simply bought a vat and put it in his spatial storage.

As long as the tank is kept full of water, watering is quite simple.

But now that we have six acres of land, one vat isn't enough...

So Xu Ping'an's biggest task these days is to dig ditches in the space!

Connect three horizontal lines and four vertical lines, and dig a deeper pool in the middle.

Go to the moat whenever you feel like it and fill up the pool in your space...

Because the space was all standard land with few rocks, digging was a bit tiring, but the progress was still very fast.

The only problem, Xu Pingan had to consider, was whether he should do some simple hardening work on the pond and the ditch...

If the pool is filled with water and it all seeps into the ground, that would be a problem.

Xu Pingan thought for a moment. The water in the moat was free, so he decided to fill it up first and see. If it couldn't hold the water, he would deal with it later...

After all, cement is hard to find and expensive these days, not to mention waterproof putty and paint.

Now that there's more space, Xu Pingan has set aside two acres specifically for breeding.

Of the remaining four acres, three and a half acres will be set aside specifically for planting!

As for the remaining space, Xu Pingan plans to build a beautiful little courtyard for himself from scratch!

There are various concerns about dealing with the east wing of No. 95, so we can only make do with it as it is...

However, he also needs to make use of the beginner carpentry and beginner construction skills he just acquired!

Surely we can't let our good skills go to waste?

Let's just operate within our own space...

The location for the new house has already been decided.

Right in the center of this land, next to the pool that Xu Pingan had dug...

With a work goal in mind, Xu Pingan became extremely busy.

He has been keeping a close eye on what's happening in the city lately.

If a city wall was being demolished, he would go over and plunder a large number of bricks to put into his space.

Having formed an idea in mind, Xu Pingan decided to put it into action.

Of course, the first step in any project is to draw up blueprints...

When Xu Pingan acquired architectural proficiency, he had automatically learned the skills of drawing and interpreting blueprints.

After all, if you can't even do this, who would dare to call themselves a beginner or expert?

The core living area of the design covers an area of approximately 200 square meters (0.3 acres).

Three separate rooms were prepared: one as a storage room, one as a bedroom, and the other, of course, as a kitchen.

The kitchen is the largest part of the design, and it's planned to be entirely built with blue bricks...

After all, building a wooden kitchen would be a sign of someone being delusional and deliberately making things difficult.

The other two houses are planned to be built entirely with mortise and tenon joints...

The house has three rooms and is planned to occupy about 60 square meters, with the remaining 140 square meters to be used as a yard.

Dig a pond in one corner of the yard, but do not connect it to the main pond that supplies water to the planting area.

The pond in the yard is specifically for raising fish, specifically ornamental fish...

After all, if you want to eat fish, you can go fishing anytime!

The remaining space should be used for planting flowers and plants, and a little land should be reserved for planting some vegetables that we eat regularly...

The area surrounding the residential area will be enclosed by various fruit trees...

Over this long period of time, Xu Pingan has gained a corresponding understanding of the characteristics of the space.

The climate here is like spring all year round!

Although time is exactly the same as the outside world, it does not have the ability to harvest things with its mind.

However, as a cheat code, it still has some special features!

For example, the plants in the space can grow very well regardless of the season or climate...

Fruit trees, for example, grow much faster than those in the outside world because of the year-round spring-like climate.

It's as if they've made up for all the time they spent dormant!

For example, the watermelons that Xu Pingan planted before!

They are ripe.

And it keeps growing and bearing new fruit... It doesn't seem like it's going to stop!

Once Xu Pingan decided to grow fruit trees, he began inquiring about purchasing the necessary saplings!

Xu Pingan had actually bought it once before!

Those are all fruit varieties from the area surrounding Beijing!

Since this is a new territory with new plans, we naturally need to incorporate some features that are not found in Beijing.

Of course, this doesn't mean you can't buy this kind of fruit in Beijing.

Under the emperor's feet, in the capital of China, everything that other places have, you can find in Beijing.

If it's not available anywhere else, it must be available in Beijing!

He wanted to buy the kind of variety that couldn't be grown in the north!

For example, lychees, longans, bananas, pineapples, kiwis, etc...

Guozi Lane outside Qianmen.

This is a wholesale center for southern fruits, with a wide variety and a stable supply...

Xu Pingan's first stop was naturally here!

It's impossible to buy tree seedlings!

These things are practically impossible to grow in the north or south, so who would sell these saplings here!

"Lychee and longan?"

The speaker was a man in his fifties, whose expression as he looked at Xu Ping'an was indescribable.

"Young man, those are fruits from June and July. Isn't it a bit too early for you to be asking now?"

This……

Failed!

This really isn't Xu Ping'an's fault!

After all, in my past life, I could buy any fruit I wanted...

Season? What season?

He didn't eat today simply because he didn't want to...

I never even considered the possibility that it would be unavailable!

Xu Pingan quickly offered a cigarette and lit it for the other person.

When the middle-aged man received a cigarette, he became much more polite.

"The lychees you asked about come in different varieties. For example, the 'March Red' variety is available around late May. But the 'Nuomici' and 'Guiwei' varieties won't be available until late June!"

The middle-aged man took a deep drag of his cigarette and added a sentence.

"But that stuff is expensive. If you want it, you'll not only need to bring more money, but you'll also have to come early and keep watch..."

Xu Pingan was somewhat surprised.

"They're already quite expensive, why are you still holding out so early?"

"You're young now, aren't you? What kind of place is this? This is Beijing, where rich people are as numerous as fish crossing a river. Although the price is not cheap, there are even more people who want this thing. Every year when it comes out on the market, it's snapped up..."

Xu Pingan: ...

"As for longan, it comes even later, around mid-July, with August being the peak season..."

Out of consideration for the cigarette, the middle-aged man added another sentence.

"But everyone buys dried longan, very few people buy fresh longan! It doesn't keep well, many people buy it but are reluctant to eat it, and it doesn't keep well either."

Dried fruit?

Dried fruit won't do!

Xu Pingan mainly planned to buy those things to try planting!

Eighty percent of the kernels of dried fruit have already lost their activity, so what's the point of growing them!

Finally, the uncle recommended sugarcane and various citrus fruits to Xu Pingan...

The so-called citrus fruits include four categories: tangerines, pomelos, mandarins, and oranges. The southern part of the city can supply them long-term…

Besides these, bananas are a year-round commodity. Although they were common in the past, they are now a rare treat...

Another fruit available at this time of year is the loquat.

Loquats are even less common in fresh fruit markets because they also have certain medicinal value!

But as I said before, this is Beijing after all, so if it doesn't exist elsewhere, it has to have it here too!

So you can still buy them occasionally!

Two packets of Daqianmen cigarettes were handed over, and the middle-aged man immediately agreed to help him contact suppliers to buy several kilograms of various fresh fruits...
