Kyoto Night Kiss

Chapter 24 Out of Control

Lu Junhe bought fever-reducing medicine and left it downstairs.

She had originally planned to leave, but then she thought about how there was only a sleeping child in the house, and Qu Yun wasn't feeling well, with no one around to give her water or help her take her medicine.

The tenderness in my heart welled up uncontrollably.

He shook his head, having already sorted out all his emotions. Love and hate were evened out; he would never fall for her again, nor would he lose his composure for her.

On second thought, since they were once lovers, it wouldn't be a big deal for him to go up and deliver some medicine.

Let's consider this the last time we show our kindness.

Lu Junhe knocked on the door and said in a low voice, "Qu Yun, I'm coming in."

The room was cold, and moonlight shone through the cracks in the window, half of it falling on the woman curled up on the bed.

She was thin and frail, covered only by a blanket. Her high fever had stained her once exquisite and beautiful face with a sickly look, making her appear pitiful.

Lu Junhe realized that the fever couldn't be stopped by medication alone and that he needed to go to the hospital.

He went to the bedside and picked up Qu Yun.

Qu Yun's consciousness was hazy. She opened her eyes in a daze and saw that Lu Junhe had returned. She subconsciously started to act coquettishly: "Why did you go on a business trip for so long this time? Did you miss me?"

Lu Junhe's Adam's apple bobbed slightly.

The woman before him trembled slightly with her long eyelashes. Her skin, which was originally fair and translucent, was now flushed red from a fever. Her black hair was draped over her shoulders, making her red lips look alluring.

"You're delirious with fever, come with me to the hospital," he said.

Qu Yun frowned unhappily. She sat shakily on the bed and stretched out her hands tremblingly. "I don't want to go to the hospital. Just hug me."

When the man remained unmoved upon seeing her, Qu Yun pouted, looking aggrieved, and asked, "Don't you love me anymore?"

"You don't seem to have missed me at all."

Lu Junhe knew that Qu Yun would never say these words to him.

He gave a self-deprecating laugh and asked, "Do you think I'm that guy surnamed Cheng?"

Qu Yun felt that her ears were not quite able to understand what was being said.

She made a move to fall onto the pillow, but Lu Junhe's eyelids twitched, and he quickly caught her.

Qu Yun lowered her head, looked at the hand that was gripping her arm, smiled, and placed a kiss on the bulging veins on it.

Lu Junhe was inwardly shocked, but remained silent on the surface.

The itching sensation on the back of his hand was gradually eroding his heart.

Before she could react, Qu Yun knelt on the bed, wrapped her arms around the man's neck, and kissed him. She murmured in a daze, "Husband, I really missed you so much."

Lu Junhe clenched his fists.

He was unwilling to be a substitute for another man, but now he had no strength to push Qu Yun away.

When he spoke again, his voice trembled: "Who am I?"

With red-rimmed eyes, Lu Junhe asked, "Qu Yun, call me by my name."

The room was pitch black, every corner filled with a somber, dark hue.

Qu Yun really finds Lu Junhe strange today.

She was having trouble breathing, so she took a step back uncomfortably. When she saw that the man's gaze was still fixed on her, she tilted her head.

"What's wrong, Junhyuk?"

The last two words instantly ignited Lu Junhe's heart.

He had finally managed to get everything sorted out when Qu Yun, with an innocent and pitiful look, started fiddling with the strings again.

Are you trying to kill him?

He actually felt happier than anything else.

Qu Yun no longer had the strength to sit up. Her body felt alternating between cold and heat. She wanted to lie down and sleep for a while, but a somber figure suddenly loomed over her.

Before she could react, her lips were sealed.

Lu Junhe's kiss was fierce and forceful, as if he wanted to tear her apart and devour her whole.

Qu Yun's back sank heavily into the soft bed, and a broad, warm hand pressed against the back of her head. Another hand held her right hand tightly, their fingers interlocked.

She had no way to break free.

Their heavy breaths intertwined little by little.

Qu Yun saw the sliver of moonlight spilling through the window swaying.

Perhaps as punishment for her inattentiveness, Lu Junhe bit her lip hard, then slowly moved his breath to her ear.

His tone held a hint of humility: "Tell me, are you conscious now?"

Qu Yun's mind was no longer working.

She only felt something cold fall onto her face.

Was she crying?

But why is she crying?

Lu Junhe has clearly returned...

*

When Qu Yun woke up in the morning, her whole body felt sore and weak.

She never expected that she would be able to have the same dreams as before.

When she got up to change her clothes, she noticed a half-finished glass of water and a box of fever reducers on the bedside table.

Could it be... that everything that happened was real?

The aroma of breakfast was already wafting up from the restaurant downstairs.

When Qu Yun reached the stairs, she saw a familiar figure sitting on the sofa and froze.

Cheng Chongchong, dressed in dinosaur pajamas, bothered Lu Junhe, wanting him to feed her breakfast himself.

"You're already in first grade," Lu Junhe reminded him casually.

Cheng Chongchong immediately snorted, "Fine, fine, fine!"

"If you, this bad uncle, won't feed me, then I'm going upstairs to find my mom!"

Lu Junhe's eyelids twitched, and he immediately picked up the spoon in the bowl, scooped up some porridge, and put it directly into the little fat boy's mouth.

He said helplessly, "Didn't I tell you your mother is still sleeping? Don't disturb her."

Cheng Chongchong seemed to have been burned by the porridge and refused to be fed by Lu Junhe anymore.

He rested his chin on his hands, gazing at his classmate's father with a lovesick expression, and asked shyly, "Am I your baby?"

He threatened Lu Junhe that he must call him "baby" or he would go up to find Qu Yun again.

Lu Junhe was exasperated; he had never seen such a troublesome child.

He quickly called out, "Baby."

Qu Yun almost burst out laughing.

Then, as if suddenly remembering something, her ears turned red.

Lu Junhe actually disliked such cloying terms of address, and in most situations when they were together, he preferred to call Qu Yun by her real name.

Or, to be a little more affectionate, call her Sheng Yunyun.

The word "baby" is only heard when she cries.

Back then, Lu Junhe would always kiss her knee, then pry her hands away from her face and comfort her in a hoarse voice, "Baby, don't cry."

"It's because it feels comfortable that I feel this way."

Cheng Chongchong was the first to hear noises on the stairs and excitedly shouted, "Mom's finally awake!"

Lu Junhe raised his head and looked over.

Qu Yun smiled at him.

He smiled back and said, "Let's have breakfast first, and then we'll check if you still have a fever."

Qu Yun agreed and continued down the stairs.

I felt a strange unease that I couldn't quite explain.

Suddenly, my phone beeped; it was a message from the VIP work group.

Lan Ting, CEO Jiao: "If we can't win over CEO Lu, then we should try winning over Miss Tang. They'll get married sooner or later anyway."

This passage is followed by a news link.

Qu Yun frowned and clicked on the link; a huge title popped up in a second.

#Is the relationship confirmed? Top tycoon secretly meets with female companion at the door, embracing and kissing passionately in front of the house#

The accompanying photos load bit by bit from top to bottom.

Qu Yun saw Lu Junhe's face clearly and recognized that the woman he was hugging and kissing was Tang Bingqing.

It really is hard to part ways.

She gave a bitter smile.
