Kyoto Night Kiss

Chapter 43 Lu Junhe lost one hand

The atmosphere remained tense for a long time.

The old lady broke the silence first, "Ah Biao, let's see the guests out."

"Properly escort Miss Qu out."

Qu Yun was about to shake her head when someone rudely shoved her from behind, nearly causing her to fall. Her shoulder hurt as soon as she moved, and she guessed it was bruised.

The man named A Biao was very impatient: "Hurry up, stop shuffling around like that, are you waiting to get fucked?"

Qu Yun endured the pain and subconsciously glanced at Lu Junhe.

The man seemed to have anticipated this, and turned his face away indifferently, not even sparing her a glance.

"If you don't leave, I'll kick your ass, you hear me?" Ah Biao roared, shoving Qu Yun's shoulder again, pushing her face against the door.

There was a black car waiting at the entrance.

A Biao opened the car door and shoved Qu Yun directly into the car.

He poked his head into the car, and seeing Qu Yun's gaze fixed on the old house, he leered, "If you don't want to leave, how about we go somewhere secluded and have some fun together?"

"I promise you'll have a taste you'll never forget."

Qu Yun ignored him, so he reached out and rubbed her lips.

"Get out of here!" Qu Yun's eyes sharpened as she felt violated.

Ah Biao shrugged and watched the car drive away.

He lowered his head and sniffed the saliva that had just gotten on his thumb.

Young lady, you smell so good.

With that face and figure, it must be incredibly fun to play with her.

Ah Biao swaggered back into the house, his steps still carrying a hint of arrogance and domineering.

As soon as he entered the room, before he could even lower his hand from the door, a gunshot rang out, shaking the dust inside.

A bullet grazed the air and pierced straight through his palm.

Ah Biao froze, staring at the gaping wound on his right hand, feeling an excruciating pain he had never experienced before, as if it were tearing him apart.

He was trembling uncontrollably, his teeth clenched tightly, yet suppressed and piercing groans of pain still escaped his throat.

Lu Junhe lowered the gun, which was still smoking, his eyes devoid of any warmth.

The old woman's face paled for a moment as she looked at the swaying man. "How could there be bullets in here?"

"I didn't tell you to actually put it down."

She just wanted to scare that woman.

Suddenly, she seemed to remember something and looked at her grandson with a complicated expression.

Lu Junhe has been practicing shooting since he was a child.

He can tell whether there are bullets in the gun by its weight.

Even so, would you dare to fire five shots into your own head?

If it weren't for good luck, his body would probably be cold by now.

The old lady dared not think too deeply about it.

This is something that only an ordinary woman would do.

Lu Junhe didn't even lift his eyelids before throwing away the gun in his hand.

He exuded an aura of coldness that kept everyone at arm's length. "What are you surprised about?"

"This isn't the first time I've been this lucky."

After Lu Junhe left the room, the old lady remained seated in the sandalwood chair the entire time, showing no intention of getting up.

She glanced indifferently at her subordinate, whose flesh was pierced through the wound, a cold, indifferent smile playing on her lips.

"This month, I'll have someone send an extra three million to your family."

Consider it the price of losing a hand.

Since returning to Beijing, Qu Yun has been unable to contact Lu Junhe.

Several nights she woke up from nightmares, dreaming that Lu Junhe was lying in her arms covered in blood, his pajamas soaked with cold sweat.

So why did he shoot himself?

If it was really just to play with her, why go to such lengths?

Qu Yun's rational mind desperately tried to urge her to stay sober, but her heart ached faintly.

It seems she no longer wants to run away.

She wanted to get closer to Lu Junhe, to peel back all his layers, and see what was inside.

Seven years ago, wasn't it this man who said he would save the child, even if she died in the operating room?

After much deliberation, Qu Yun realized that the only person she could find to help was Zhao Yao.

She had clearly loved Lu Junhe for four years.

The man seemed to have left nothing behind.

After the call connected, Zhao Yao didn't beat around the bush. He said, "I advise you to just give up and stop trying to get involved. You two have been separated for so many years and you've managed to get by, haven't you?"

"Do you really think the Lu family is a pushover, that they can only resort to verbal insults when they don't like someone or something? Qu Yun, following someone like Lu Junhe, it wouldn't be surprising if you lost your life."

So when it came time to discuss marriage, they all listened to their families and insisted on a marriage between equals.

What I'm asking for is the life of my beloved.

Qu Yun gripped her phone tightly, trying to hold back her sobs.

She began, "Brother Zhao Yao, others may not know, but you must know that all these years, I have never truly let go."

"Even if it costs me my life, I want to find out for myself."

Anyway, she had already died once.

Hearing the trembling voice on the phone, Zhao Yao remained silent for a long time before finally letting out a helpless sigh.

No wonder it was a tragic fate.

He said, "I'll send you an address, come over."

The address Zhao Yao gave was for a bar that wasn't open to the public. Even wealthy people without connections in this circle wouldn't have the right to step inside.

Qu Yun had never been to a place like this before.

Even when she was with Lu Junhe, they never had any contact.

Thanks to Zhao Yao's help, she wasn't stopped by the heavily guarded security at the entrance.

The bar's decor was extremely luxurious, with understated dark gold lighting illuminating the entire corridor, and the air filled with a faint aroma of alcohol and high-end perfume.

Qu Yun stood out from the crowd, feeling completely out of place.

She kept her head down, trying to avoid the gaze of others, and carefully walked along the corridor, looking for the private room number one by one.

They walked all the way to the door of the most private room at the back before stopping.

Qu Yun tugged at the hem of her clothes, knocked on the door, and went inside.

The private room was crowded and noisy, filled with smoke, which made her cough several times.

Qu Yun covered her mouth and nose, and it took her a while to adjust to the dim and hazy light. She slowly searched for Lu Junhe's figure inside.

His gaze suddenly froze.

In the corner, on a large leather sofa, Lu Junhe leaned back lazily, his posture casual and aloof.

Two alluring and exquisite women sat on either side of him, chatting and laughing, occasionally leaning closer, their intimacy reaching its peak.

Qu Yun suddenly couldn't hear any sounds around her. Her heart felt like it had been stabbed by a thin needle, and a dense, dull pain spread throughout her body.

She suppressed a sob in her throat and walked step by step through the noisy crowd to the sofa.

Qu Yun lowered her eyes, her voice slightly hoarse, and said softly, "Lu Junhe, I have something I want to tell you."

Lu Junhe didn't even see her; he didn't even lift his eyelids.

He remained nonchalant, letting those around him chat, occasionally swirling the wine in his glass without drinking, his expression indifferent and aloof.

In short, he never glanced at the music once.
