Huayu: Starting from managing the Mahua FunAge Theater Troupe

Shen Teng and his troupe have just moved from Hangzhou to Nanjing, the fourth stop of their national tour.

Next stop, the fifth stop is Shenzhen, and the sixth stop is Guangzhou.

Both of these stations are located in Guangdong, which is the stronghold of Southern Media Group.

After thinking it over, Shen Feiyang still called Shen Teng.

"Feed? Mr. Shen?" Shen Teng's voice came from the phone.

Shen Feiyang cut to the chase: "You've seen the public opinion summary report, haven't you?"

The troupe is accompanied by a service team comprised of the administration and publicity departments. The team's main responsibilities are selling tickets, liaising with the media, and assisting the company and the troupe in completing other daily tasks.

Because of this team, Shen Feiyang was able to see the public opinion summary report immediately, even though Shen Teng was in another city.

Shen Teng thought for a moment: "Is there any explanation?"

"Maybe they don't want us to sell tickets so smoothly in Shenzhen and Guangzhou," Shen Feiyang said, offering his guess.

Besides making money, another purpose of this national tour is to upgrade the Happy Twist Troupe from a local brand to a national brand, proving that the Happy Twist Troupe can sell tickets anywhere. If it suffers a setback in a few important cities, it may be used as a basis for criticism.

Shen Feiyang then added, "But it's not a big problem. You're very popular right now, and tickets sell well. The main thing is that you need to be careful of the media trying to trap you for interviews. Also, including you, no one in the entire tour team should go out alone. I've already asked President Yu to inform the team leader."

Shen Teng nodded slightly: "That's fine then. Is there anything else?"

"Regarding your career development..." Shen Feiyang asked, "Would you like to try television dramas first or movies?"

"Can I have both?" Shen Teng asked casually in a teasing tone.

Unexpectedly, Shen Feiyang readily agreed: "Okay."

"Huh? I was just saying. Performing in stage plays is tiring enough."

"Performing in stage plays doesn't allow for widespread exposure."

"Actually, it's not that I can't act, it's just that I feel sorry for my dear younger brother."

"Stop talking nonsense." Shen Feiyang laughed and scolded, then emphasized again: "The last two sentences are: first, be careful; second, trust me."

"Okay. I'm done."

"Um."

hang up the phone.

Sitting in the boss's chair, Shen Feiyang held his phone and pondered silently for a while.

His decision to get into the TV drama business wasn't a rash one.

There are several reasons.

Firstly, the company has ample cash flow, but stage plays are limited by the number of actors and productions, so there is no particular need for funds at the moment, and the money has nowhere to go.

Secondly, there's no channel to invest in films. Ning Hao is currently filming "Green Grassland" and doesn't have time to prepare for "Crazy Stone." Shen Feiyang doesn't have many other connections in the film industry and can only wait for Ning Hao. Zhao Benshan is unreliable; if Old Zhao were capable of making films, he wouldn't only be involved in television dramas.

Third, Joy Media needs to increase its investment in the TV drama business, which is a good opportunity for cooperation.

Fourth, we need to pave the way for Shen Teng's transformation.

Shen Feiyang thought carefully about what kind of TV series would be popular in 2005.

Eh?

Shen Feiyang suddenly remembered something.

……

Bang bang bang.

Hearing the knock on the door, Yu Kai, who was working on a document, said without looking up, "Come in."

Shen Feiyang pushed open the door and walked into Yu Kai's office.

Yu Kai glanced at it out of the corner of his eye.

Upon seeing that the visitor was Shen Feiyang, he stopped what he was doing.

Shen Feiyang sat down in the chair opposite Yu Kai, separated from him by a desk, their eyes meeting.

"What's wrong?" Yu Kai asked Shen Feiyang, puzzled.

Shen Feiyang went straight to the point: "Old Yu, I heard from you before that you and Director Tian are working on adapting a novel into a TV series?"

Yu Kai nodded: "Yes, but right now Lao Tian and Xiong Yuan are mainly doing the adaptation work, and I will participate occasionally."

"Contact Director Tian. Our company has invested in this drama. We'll submit the first draft of the script within a week," Shen Feiyang said.

Yu Kai cautioned, "The production cost of a TV series is much higher than that of a stage play. Although the company's cash flow is currently healthy, however..."

Yu Kai should stop appropriately.

Shen Feiyang nodded slightly: "I know all that. I will involve Huanle Media in the investment. With Huanle Media's hundreds of local channels and Liaoning TV as a platform, we shouldn't lose money."

Yu Kai pondered for a moment, then spoke again, "Then I'll call Lao Tian and see if he has time to come over. You can discuss the story's potential first, and then decide whether to invest or not."

"OK."

……

An hour later.

Tian Youliang arrived at the Zijin Building.

At the beginning of the year, he sold his shares to Shen Feiyang, saying he was going to work on TV dramas. However, he hasn't made any waves in the TV drama industry in the past six months. Recently, he started a new Lunar New Year stage play called "Add Some Chives to Make It Bland".

Upon hearing from Yu Kai that Shen Feiyang was going to help him realize his dream of becoming a TV drama director, Tian Youliang came without delay, bringing with him the first draft of the script and the original novel.

Reception room.

Shen Feiyang, Yu Kai, and Tian Youliang sat on the sofa.

Shen Feiyang flipped through the original novel and the script.

The original novel is called "Dopant of Love," and the author is a friend of Tian Youliang.

After completing the manuscript in 2001, Tian Youliang spent several thousand yuan to buy the adaptation rights to the work.

After three years of polishing, the first draft of the script was completed.

The play is also called "Dopant of Love".

But Shen Feiyang knew its future name: "The Difficult Love of a Diamond Bachelor".

This drama can be considered the pioneer of the domineering CEO drama.

It combines elements of "domineering CEO + forceful acquisition + marriage of convenience to love".

This kind of drama would be incredibly competitive in today's TV drama market.

Shen Feiyang stated his conditions directly: "I have two requirements. First, the script needs to be optimized according to my requirements. Second, all copyrights belong to Happy Twist."

Tian Youliang nodded slightly: "I can agree to both of these requests. However, Mr. Shen, I already have an actor I like to play the role of Meng Hao, but the actor is still a bit inexperienced. So, could we switch to another project and wait two or three years before filming?"

Shen Feiyang: "My preferred actress to play the role?"

"He's a student I taught before, named Deng Chao. He only graduated two or three years ago, and I don't think he can handle the role of Meng Hao yet," Tian Youliang explained in a very responsible manner.

After a moment's thought, Shen Feiyang felt that what Tian Youliang said made a lot of sense.

The role of Meng Hao can only be played by Deng Chao two or three years later.

Shen Teng, with his thick Northeastern accent, is even less suited for the role.

Shen Feiyang originally only intended for Shen Teng to play a supporting role, and never thought of letting Shen Teng play the domineering CEO.

If this project can't be completed, then we have to find another one.

"Let me think about it."

Shen Feiyang closed his eyes.

Tian Youliang looked at Yu Kai.

Yu Kai pressed his hand down on him.

Don't be impatient.

Our CEO Shen is using his powers.

Shen Feiyang frowned.

What other hit TV series can be copied in the future, and what roles are suitable for Shen Teng?

I thought it over and over again.

Ah~

Got it!
