The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

Do you think I would lie to you?

Lin Bufan looked at Shu Chang with a smile on his lips.

"Of course not, how could a director as great as you lie to me..."

Shu Chang shook her head quickly and firmly.

"Honey, what's your next movie?" Liu Yifei leaned against Lin Bufan, looking up at him.

"Flying Swords of Dragon Gate..."

Lin Bufan briefly explained the plot of the movie "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate".

Under his revisions, the script for "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" had far fewer logical flaws compared to the previous version.

"What role does Shu sing?"

Seeing that the person next to her was scratching their head and too embarrassed to ask, Liu Yifei had to ask for them.

"Shu Chang plays the role of the Tatar leader..."

In the original script, the appearance of this Tatar leader was inexplicable, and his confrontation with the Western Depot at the drop of a hat was highly illogical.

In fact, according to the script, the emperor in power was Emperor Chenghua, Zhu Jianshen, and the Ming Dynasty during this period was very powerful.

Especially after the Chenghua Emperor's purge of the Ming Dynasty, foreign tribes like the Tatars dared not oppose the Ming Dynasty openly.

Under Lin Bufan's revisions, the script's background was set before the Chenghua Emperor's plowing of the court, and the conflict between the Tatar leader and the Western Depot also included his own calculations.

While the Western Depot was openly pursuing Zhao Huai'an on such a large scale, it was actually secretly investigating whether the Tatars had any ulterior motives for entering the pass.

In this way, some logical loopholes can be patched up, and the core remains largely unchanged. The background depth of the script has increased slightly, but not by much, so it won't make the audience feel too out of place.

It's only an hour and a half long. If he talks too much, he definitely won't be able to finish or explain it clearly. He doesn't want to end up like Chen Kaige, who tried to express everything in "The Promise" but ended up expressing nothing clearly.

For a film to succeed, the script must be reasonable and logical, but there's no need to pursue these too much, since it's not an award-winning film.

As long as a commercial film's logic isn't outrageous, it's self-consistent, it's intellectually stimulating, the scenes are grand enough, and it's enjoyable to watch, that's enough; everything else is secondary.

In the Xu Ke version of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate", the Tatar leader was played by Gwei Lun-mei, but her performance was not particularly outstanding. Shu Chang's acting skills were more than capable of handling the role.

"Who is the female lead?"

Liu Yifei looked at Lin Bufan with curiosity and interest.

"Dong Xuan"

Lin Bufan did not hide anything from Liu Yifei.

Zhou Xun's acting skills are undeniable, but her performance in the movie "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" was only average. Moreover, Dong Xuan has acted in "Snowflake Goddess Dragon," so her performance as Ling Yanqiu, a woman from the martial arts world, shouldn't be a problem.

In terms of acting skills, Dong Xuan is definitely not as good as Zhou Xun, but that doesn't matter. With Lin Bufan around, he can slowly train Dong Xuan's acting skills.

Compared to Zhou Xun, Dong Xuan not only had a lower salary, but more importantly, she was his woman.

"Honey, I want to make movies too..."

Liu Yifei nestled in Lin Bufan's arms, acting coquettishly.

Of course she knew who Dong Xuan was, the guy Lin Bufan, the senior from Beijing Film Academy who had caught up with her as a freshman.

As the saying goes, "He who does not contend, none in the world can contend with him."

Even if Liu Yifei didn't understand, Liu Xiaoli did. The entertainment industry is a big melting pot, especially with a big director like Lin Bufan. Female stars in the entertainment industry would definitely flock to him.

Rather than interfering too much and making Lin Bufan annoyed, it's better to be tolerant of him and let him feel guilty.

Anyway, she's still young, has a great figure, is beautiful, and has his child, so she's already in an invincible position.

"Okay, after you give birth, I'll make you the leading lady."

Lin Bufan looked down at Liu Yifei.

"Honey, you're so good to me!"

Liu Yifei smiled and her eyes narrowed: "How about you be the director then, honey?"

"Okay, whatever you say."

Lin Bufan looked at Liu Yifei with doting eyes; for Lin Bufan, this was not even a request.

Seeing the two of them being so affectionate, Shu Chang felt both envious and happy.

What I envy is how much Lin Bufan dotes on Liu Yifei, and what makes me happy is that Liu Yifei is my best friend; her happiness is my happiness.

……

Lin Bufan's original plan was to go back home for the Chinese New Year.

However, after Liu Yifei persuaded him to stay, Lin Bufan thought about it and realized that he would be alone if he went back, so he stayed.

"That scoundrel, I wonder where he's off gallivanting off to again..."

Yang Mi stood at the door of Lin Bufan's house, kicked it hard, and muttered angrily under her breath.

Lin Bufan completely forgot that Yang Mi was supposed to bring him dumplings that night.

Yang Mi had planned to take the opportunity of delivering dumplings to Lin Bufan that evening to spend a sweet and happy New Year's Eve with her, but unfortunately, Lin Bufan never came back after leaving.

The next day was the first day of the lunar new year. When Lin Bufan opened his eyes, he saw Liu Yifei sleeping soundly next to him.

Lin Bufan lay on his side on the bed, propping his head up with his arm, watching Liu Yifei sleep soundly. She looked especially adorable.

It's 06 now, unlike later years. There's no such thing as a Spring Festival film season on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Even fewer businesses are open for business; they usually don't open until after the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.

Lin Bufan spent the entire day with Liu Yifei.

During her last hospital checkup, the doctor calculated Liu Yifei's due date to be February 1st, so she'll probably give birth in the next few days.

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Daily check-in successful. Rewards: One bottle of Liuwei Emperor Pills (10 pills) + One bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pills (10 pills) + 100 million US dollars]

On Monday, January 30th, Lin Bufan checked in as usual.

The song "Damn Tenderness" lacks depth and is just a catchy pop song, but it's quite popular and can be considered a minor hit.

After the New Year, we can just hand it over to Zhao Xueyong to handle.

"The day after tomorrow is February 1st."

Lin Bufan calculated the time.

I wonder if Liu Yifei will give birth the day after tomorrow. Also, the 1st of every month is the day to sign in for the month.

In addition, February 4th is the Beginning of Spring, one of the twenty-four solar terms. You can sign in for a festival gift pack then, I wonder what you can get.

Lin Bufan was really looking forward to the holiday gift package.

That evening, Liu Yifei checked into United Family Hospital.

With her due date approaching, no one knew when she would give birth, so Lin Bufan booked a suite at the hospital.

It must be said that private hospitals do an extremely good job in terms of environment. This suite is not much worse than a star-rated hotel. The suite has a bedroom, bathroom and living room.
