The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"I?"

Yang Mi looked at Zeng Jia, then pointed to herself with a look of astonishment.

"Isn't that right?"

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi with a question in her eyes.

Just two days ago, Yang Mi officially terminated her contract with Rong Xinda after paying a three million yuan penalty for breach of contract.

At the same time, Yang Mi also brought out her agent Zeng Jia and established Yang Mi Studio, in which Lin Bufan holds 60% of the shares, Yang Mi holds 30% of the shares, and Zeng Jia holds 10% of the shares.

Although Lin Bufan is the major shareholder of the studio, Zeng Jia has always been in charge of the studio's daily affairs.

The most important reason why Zeng Jia agreed to run away from Rong Xinda with Yang Mi was because of her relationship with Lin Bufan.

[PS: Zeng Jia is just a transitional character; she'll be kicked out later.]

Therefore, upon learning about "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" and that the female lead had already been decided internally, she assumed that Yang Mi had already secured the role.

Judging from Yang Mi's current performance, that's clearly not the case.

"Of course not."

Yang Mi shook her head.

If Zeng Jia hadn't told her just now, she wouldn't have known about this.

"Mimi..."

"Jia-jie, did you find the English teacher I asked you to find for me?"

Yang Mi looked at Zeng Jia and interrupted her.

"Found it."

Zeng Jia nodded, then looked at Yang Mi with a puzzled expression: "Now, you should tell me why we need an English tutor, right?"

"Bu Fan said he helped me get a lead role in a Hollywood film, so I need to cram for English for a while." Yang Mi looked at Zeng Jia with a smug expression, no longer hiding anything from her.

"What?"

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi with a shocked expression.

In this day and age, if you can make a movie in Hollywood, let alone the lead role, even the third or fourth female lead would be highly sought after.

"Yang Mi, are you telling the truth?"

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi in disbelief. Even though Yang Mi nodded repeatedly to confirm, she still couldn't quite believe it.

"Of course."

As Yang Mi spoke, she took a script out of the drawer and waved it in front of Zeng Jia.

Zeng Jia finally believed it after seeing the script for "Final Destination" in Yang Mi's hand.

"Mimi, you're amazing..."

Zeng Jia became agitated.

Now, she and Yang Mi are inextricably linked; the more successful Yang Mi becomes, the better the studio will develop. As a shareholder, she will not only earn more, but also gain a higher status.

At this moment, Zeng Jia admired Yang Mi even more for being able to get a Hollywood film contract.

"Honey, you really need to think carefully about what I'm about to say."

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi with a serious expression: "I know you and Director Lin are childhood friends and have a very good relationship, but even the best childhood friends are still just childhood friends, do you understand?"

From Zeng Jia's perspective, there are some things that, regardless of Yang Mi's thoughts, she has to say and remind her what is right.

"Sister Jia, I understand."

Yang Mi knew that Zeng Jia was thinking of her, so she wouldn't blame her.

Regardless of how others see it, in Yang Mi's heart, her relationship with Lin Bufan has never been one of mutual exploitation.

Her relationship with Lin Bufan was like that of friends but not quite lovers. She had originally planned to surprise Lin Bufan during the Chinese New Year.

However, Lin Bufan was not at home on New Year's Eve, and there were no such good opportunities afterward.

"It's good that you understand."

Zeng Jia nodded, then hesitated for a moment: "Honey, you know how things are in the entertainment industry. Sometimes Director Lin does things casually, so don't go and cause trouble for him, okay?"

Female celebrities in the entertainment industry are willing to do anything to climb the ladder of success.

Especially considering Director Lin's current status.

Furthermore, when Yang Mi stars in a Hollywood movie and is officially announced as the lead actress, how could the actresses in China not guess that Yang Mi's ability to go to Hollywood is definitely due to Lin Bufan?

By then, even if Lin Bufan doesn't take the initiative, countless actresses will.

"Don't worry, Jia-jie, I know."

As Lin Bufan's childhood friend, no one understands him better than her.

……

"System, check-in!"

After Bai Bing left, Lin Bufan immediately signed in.

I did some morning exercise this morning, and then went to China Film Group. I haven't had a chance to sign in yet.

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Weekly check-in successful. Rewards: One bottle of Liuwei Emperor Pills (10 pills) + One bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pills (10 pills) + 100 million US dollars + The song "Move Your Body"]

Today is the 13th, which happens to be Monday.

"moveyourbody"

The Chinese title of this song is "Dance Your Body". It has a simple melody and an upbeat style. It is a dance track released by Beyoncé in 11.

"Another classic song."

After putting down the song, Lin Bufan thought for a moment and then asked Bai Bing to notify Zhao Xueyong to come over.

"Boss."

Zhao Xueyong knocked on the door and came in.

What are you holding in your hand?

Lin Bufan looked up and saw the document in Zhao Xueyong's hand.

"Boss, here is the basic information of several singers that the company is preparing to sign recently."

As Zhao Xueyong spoke, he handed the list in his hand to Lin Bufan.

The list included the names of singers the music department planned to sign soon, along with some basic information about these singers.

Chen Chusheng, Zhang Liangying, Zhang Jie, Xue Zhiqian, Yang Yuying.

Chen Chusheng is currently just a resident singer at a bar, so signing a contract is simple and effortless.

Zhang Liangying debuted in 05 through the Super Girl competition.

Zhang Jie, the 04 national champion of "My Show", has excellent singing skills.

Xue Zhiqian debuted in 05 with the show "My Show" and later became a hit with the song "Serious Snow". However, he was suspended by his company for some reasons until he returned to the public eye in 15 with the song "Gentleman".

At this point, Xue Zhiqian has not signed with any company, and naturally, "Serious Snow" has not been released.

"What's the deal with Yang Yuying?"

Lin Bufan looked up at Zhao Xueyong after seeing the last name.

Yang Yuying, the former queen of sweet songs.

Later, for some reason, she announced her retirement from the music scene in 97. She then chose to make a comeback in 2000, but after several years, Yang Yuying's comeback did not show any improvement.

In 05, which was last year, he announced his retirement from the music scene again.

It wasn't until 12 years later that Yang Yuying announced her comeback.

"Boss, Yang Yuying's voice is truly in a league of its own in China..."

Zhao Xueyong looked at Lin Bufan and shared his thoughts.

Yang Yuying's title of "Queen of Sweet Songs" is not just a random title; currently, no one in China can compare to her.
