The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"I'll handle this."

Lin Bufan looked at Yang Mi and nodded slightly.

He thought that with him around, Zeng Jia wouldn't dare to play any tricks, but he had clearly underestimated her ambition.

Zeng Jia is an extremely ambitious woman. She wants to bring in others as shareholders in order to reduce her own power.

Without Yang Mi, how could Jiaxing have grown and prospered in later generations?

In particular, Yang Mi gave everything and sacrificed all her reputation in order to achieve the profit target set by the company's IPO.

As everyone knows, betting against each other is actually a trap.

Even Wang Jianlin, the founder of Wanda Group, lost out in a bet.

Jiaxing's successful bet was largely due to Yang Mi's efforts, which accounted for at least 6%, or even 7% or 8% of the success. However, Zeng Jia ultimately kicked Yang Mi out of Jiaxing.

"It seems Zeng Jia can't be allowed to stay..."

The company has only just started, and she's already making underhanded moves. What will happen in the future?

Talent?

The entertainment industry has no shortage of talent.

However, before that, we can take advantage of the other party first, and then kick them aside after we're done using them. This can also be considered revenge for Da Mi Mi in future generations.

"Was there anything unexpected when Rong Xinda terminated the contract?"

Lin Bufan looked at Yang Mi.

When Yang Mi terminated her contract, Lin Bufan was busy and did not help her with the specific details.

"no."

Yang Mi shook her head.

When she signed the contract, the penalty for breach of contract was specified. She paid the penalty in full, so there was no problem terminating the contract.

Rong Xinda also tried to retain Yang Mi, but she refused.

Before "Love is Not Blind," Rong Xinda provided Yang Mi with only average resources. After the movie was released and Yang Mi became a sensation, Rong Xinda didn't give her any good resources. Instead, they arranged many commercial performances for her.

During that period, Yang Mi earned a lot, but Rong Xinda earned even more.

Yang Mi would naturally not choose to stay at a company like that.

"How's your script reading going lately?"

The script Lin Bufan mentioned was the script for the movie "Final Destination," which he had already given to Yang Mi in advance.

"This is a short biography I wrote; could you take a look at it?"

As Yang Mi spoke, she took a notebook out of her bag and handed it to Lin Bufan.

Since receiving the script, Yang Mi has hardly left the house, spending most of her time at home studying the character biographies.

During this period, Yang Mi had not yet resorted to making bad movies in order to make money by betting against capital.

The TV series "The Return of the Condor Heroes" has been scheduled to premiere on March 14th this year on Qilu TV. Yang Mi plays the young Guo Xiang, who is very spirited.

"Not bad, you've improved."

Lin Bufan carefully reviewed the biography Yang Mi had created this time, and found it to be much more detailed than the one she had written for "Love is Not Blind" during filming.

"I'm relieved to hear that."

Yang Mi breathed a sigh of relief, a huge weight lifted from her shoulders.

This was her first Hollywood film, and she was the lead actress. She didn't know how Lin Bufan had managed to get her the role.

Not only for myself, but also to avoid embarrassing Lin Bufan.

"Alright, let's get some sleep..."

After chatting for a while, Lin Bufan reclined his seat, asked the flight attendant for a blanket, and covered himself with it.

"Once I make money, the first thing I'll do is buy a private jet."

After lying down, the thought popped into Lin Bufan's mind again.

No matter how comfortable first class is, it can never be as comfortable as a private jet, especially on long-haul flights.

……

After more than ten hours of flight, plus the time difference, when Lin Bufan and his group arrived in Los Angeles, it was 6 pm local time on March 4th.

"BOSS!"

At the airport entrance, Carter stood next to a Rolls-Royce and waved his hands vigorously the moment he saw Lin Bufan.

Let me introduce you to Yang Mi.

Lin Bufan led the group over, and after speaking, he looked at Yang Mi: "Carter, General Manager of Extraordinary Pictures."

"Hello, Mr. Carter."

Yang Mi was shocked. It turned out that the unassuming chubby boy in front of her was actually the general manager of Extraordinary Pictures.

"Hello, Ms. Yang."

Carter humbly bowed to Yang Mi.

His boss is Chinese, and Carter has been studying Chinese culture ever since he became the general manager of Extraordinary Pictures.

He knew very well that Chinese people were very averse to the Western custom of kissing cheeks.

The woman in front of him, named Yang Mi, clearly had a close relationship with his boss, so he naturally wouldn't offer her any cheek kisses.

"The boss has terrible taste..."

Carter couldn't help but grumble inwardly. In his aesthetic sense, only women with big breasts and big butts were considered beautiful. Whether it was Yang Mi or Lin Bufan's beautiful assistant Bai Bing, they were just ordinary-looking Chinese women in his eyes.

"Boss, the mansion in Beverly Hills has been cleaned, and the hotel is booked. Where do we go?"

"Let's go to Beverly Hills."

The last time Lin Bufan came to Los Angeles, he stayed in a rented apartment.

Things are different now. He owns a mansion in Beverly Hills, so he naturally won't rent apartments or hotels anymore.

"Yes, Boss!"

Carter nodded and gave an order to the convoy.

After getting in the car, we headed straight for Beverly Hills.

"Why does Carter call you 'BOSS'?"

In the car, Yang Mi sat next to Lin Bufan and whispered a question in his ear.

Although her English isn't particularly good yet, she can at least handle basic daily communication. The title "BOSS" is clearly a subordinate's way of addressing a superior.

"Because I'm a shareholder of Extraordinary Pictures!"

Lin Bufan looked at Yang Mi as a matter of course.

Since Lin Bufan agreed to let Carter pick him up at the airport, he never intended to hide his connection with Extraordinary Pictures.

Of course, to keep it a secret, especially with Zeng Jia, an outsider, beside him, he only said that he was a shareholder and did not tell Yang Mi that Feifan Pictures was his.

"real?"

Yang Mi looked at Lin Bufan with a shocked expression.

"Of course it's true. Why would I lie to you about something so small?"

Lin Bufan gave Yang Mi a disdainful look. And yet, he hadn't even told Yang Mi that Feifan Pictures was his own; he only said that he was a shareholder. Otherwise, wouldn't she be even more shocked?

"How many shares do you own in Extraordinary Pictures?"

Yang Mi is very curious right now.

Yang Mi was initially quite nervous about going to Hollywood to film, but when she learned that Lin Bufan was a shareholder of Extraordinary Pictures, she immediately felt much less nervous.

"Want to know?"

Lin Bufan looked down at Yang Mi and chuckled.

"you……"

Seeing Lin Bufan's mischievous grin, Yang Mi's face instantly flushed red. She couldn't resist reaching out and gently pinching his arm: "Wait until we get back, okay?"
