The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

As Casey Affleck stood on the stage, recounting her experiences over the years, many Hollywood stars in the audience felt a deep connection to her.

Now they stand at the top of Hollywood, but back then they were just like Casey Affleck, starting as unknown actresses.

When he got emotional, Casey Affleck looked at Lin Bufan in the audience, reminiscing about the Golden Globe Award moment.

"Director, thank you!"

Casey Affleck kneels on the Oscar stage.

He didn't care what others thought of him, but his gratitude towards Lin Bufan was from the bottom of his heart.

I thought I would experience something like the Golden Globes, but instead, the Hollywood stars in the audience raised their hands and applauded.

Even many world-class directors and investors sitting in the front looked at Casey Affleck on stage with friendly eyes.

Everyone hopes that those they help will be grateful to them; no one is an exception.

Today, Casey Affleck knelt down to thank a Chinese director for not caring about what others thought, saying that if he were to help the director in the future, the director would be just as grateful.

In this world, those who know how to be grateful will never lack investors.

As for Hollywood stars, whether Lin Bufan wins an award or not will not affect his future status in Hollywood.

Because if he can produce the first Oscar-winning actor, he has the potential to produce the second, or even the third, and the same goes for the Best Actress.

……

After the performances, the awards ceremony continued.

Host Jon Stewart walked onto the stage and, after a few jokes, announced the nominees for Best Director.

Directors of "Brokeback Mountain" (Li An), "Capote" (Bennett Miller), "Crash" (Paul Haggis), "Good Night, and Good Luck" (George Clooney), "Munich" (Steven Spielberg), and "Manchester by the Sea" (Lin Bufan) are all involved.

On the screen, clips from several movies were playing continuously.

After the Oscar nominations, the three films with the highest expectations were "Brokeback Mountain", "Manchester by the Sea" and "Munich".

The reason why "Munich" is so popular is because its director is Steven Spielberg.

From "Jaws" onwards, to "Indiana Jones," "Jurassic Park," and "Schindler's List," he has firmly established his status as a world-class director.

This person is the director with the highest total box office in later generations, and also the biggest obstacle for Lin Bufan to win the Best Director award this time, as is Li An.

Following the original trajectory of the world, Li An was supposed to win the Best Director Oscar this year.

At this moment, Lin Bufan felt very uncertain, not only because of his competitors, but also because Casey Affleck had won the Best Actor award.

As is well known, very few films can win two major awards at the Oscars.

Some minor and technical awards are not included.

There will be other opportunities in the future...

Lin Bufan glanced at Cassie Affleck, who was still immersed in excitement, and shook his head slightly.

He later won the Best Actor award at the 89th Academy Awards for his role in "Manchester by the Sea," and now it's like the prize has been returned to its rightful owner.

"Let me invite Tom Hanks, the presenter for Best Director."

Tom Hanks is one of Hollywood's top male actors, earning a salary starting at $20 million per film, plus a share of the box office revenue. His representative works include "Forrest Gump" and "Saving Private Ryan".

After going on stage, Tom Hanks picked up an envelope from the tray of a hostess, opened it, glanced at it, looked at the shortlisted directors in the audience, and made a teasing remark with a smile.

Compared to other directors, Tom Hanks is naturally more familiar with Steven Spielberg, as "Saving Private Ryan" is a film they collaborated on.

"Congratulations to Van Lin, director of Manchester by the Sea."

After the banter, Tom Hanks finally announced the winner.

"Is it really me?"

Lin Bufan was stunned when he heard his name called from below the stage.

Just now, watching Tom Hanks interact with Steven Spielberg on stage, he even wondered if his presence might cause the Oscar winner to change from Li An to Steven Spielberg.

Not only Lin Bufan thought so, but Li An, and even Steven Spielberg himself, also thought so.

To everyone's surprise, Lin Bufan ultimately won the Best Director award.

Everyone present was convinced of Lin Bufan's award. "Manchester by the Sea" is indeed a very good film, and Lin Bufan's superb skills are evident in everything from the shooting angles and lighting.

"Congratulations on your extraordinary achievement!"

Sitting next to Lin Bufan, Yang Mi couldn't contain her excitement and turned around to kiss him on the cheek in front of everyone.

"Oh~"

The camera remained focused on Lin Bufan, and the scene of Yang Mi kissing him was broadcast throughout the entire venue, instantly eliciting excited screams from everyone.

For a director who can produce an Oscar-winning actor and also win Best Director, everyone knows what they should do.

Whether in China or Hollywood, directors are at the top of the food chain.

Lin Bufan suppressed his excitement, stood up and walked onto the stage to receive the Best Director Oscar from Tom Hanks.

"Congratulations, Director Lin. I hope we'll have the opportunity to work together in the future."

Tom Hanks looked at Lin Bufan's youthful face and sighed inwardly. He then hugged him and said with a big smile.

There will be an opportunity.

Lin Bufan smiled and nodded at Tom Hanks.

Then, holding the little golden statuette in his hand, he walked to the center of the stage, looked at the dark mass of people below the stage, and took a deep breath.

"This is the first time I've won the Oscar for Best Director, but I believe it will definitely not be the last..." Lin Bufan shone brightly on stage, unleashing his full potential.

The West is different from China. In China, you should be humble when you win an award, but abroad, being humble will make you look down on.

The other directors, who were nominated for Best Director along with Lin Bufan, watched Lin Bufan's youthful exuberance on stage and felt a mix of emotions.

How many years did it take for these people to get to where they are today and receive those honors?

The other person was not only Chinese, but also only in his twenties. They couldn't help but wonder what they were doing at his age.

If Lin Bufan was only a minor celebrity in Hollywood when he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture, from that moment on, he became a household name in Hollywood.

From this day forward, the whole world will know that there is a Chinese director who won the Academy Award for Best Director at the young age of just over twenty, and he also broke the record for the youngest Best Director winner in Oscar history.
