The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Dan, good news!"

Universe Dan's manager, looking excited, burst into Universe Dan's gym and looked at Universe Dan, who was working out.

"What good news?"

Universe Dan pulled the equipment a few more times, stood up, relaxed his arms, and walked towards his agent.

Do you know Lin Bufan?

The agent looked at Yu Zhoudan.

"Lin Bufan? Who's that?"

Universe Dan looked at his agent with a puzzled expression.

"A famous director from the mainland." The agent rolled his eyes at Yu Zhoudan. This artist under his management was really something; he didn't even recognize Lin Bufan.

"Oh, what's wrong!"

Universe Dan replied nonchalantly.

He's just a director from mainland China. He's seen plenty of directors, and in his eyes, mainland directors are all second-rate, let alone someone with such an unfamiliar name.

"What else is wrong...?"

The agent glared at Yu Zhoudan with annoyance. Having worked together for many years, he could tell at a glance what Yu Zhoudan was thinking, so he could only give him a proper explanation first.

You know the movie "Love is Not Blind," right?

"Know!"

Universe Dan nodded.

This movie was released in Hong Kong last month and had a high box office.

"You don't mean that this Lin Bufan is the director of the movie 'Love is Not Blind', do you?" Yu Zhoudan's heart skipped a beat as she looked at her agent.

"Not only that, they just won the Oscar for Best Director a few days ago..."

After his agent explained the name Lin Bufan to him, Yu Zhoudan learned about it and remembered it.

"What was the good news you mentioned?"

"Director Lam has collaborated with Emperor Entertainment on a film, and Emperor Entertainment is preparing to cast you as the male lead."

The agent had just received inside information and rushed to report to Yu Zhoudan.

"real?"

Universe Dan's eyes lit up instantly.

He has been resting ever since he finished filming "SPL" last year.

"SPL: Sha Po Lang" was released last year and it was a huge flop, with a total box office of only over five million.

When a movie flops at the box office, someone always has to take the blame. Coincidentally, almost none of the movies directed by Yu Zhoudan make money; they either lose money or are on the verge of losing money.

Since then, Universe Dan has been known as box office poison.

Therefore, the movie that the agent mentioned is very important to him.

"Of course, I have connections at Emperor Entertainment Group."

The agent looked at Yu Zhoudan with a confident expression.

……

"Boss, the Xiang brothers are here..."

Lin Bufan had just returned to his villa in Repulse Bay and was about to rest when Bai Bing knocked on the door and came in.

"The Xiang brothers?"

Lin Bufan frowned slightly upon hearing this.

In Hong Kong, the people he least wanted to see and cooperate with were the Heung brothers.

However, since they have already arrived, it wouldn't be right to refuse to see them.

Not cooperating is fine, but directly turning someone away can offend them.

"Please come in!"

At the entrance of the villa, Xiang Huaqiang leaned against his car, smoking a cigarette, his gaze fixed intently on the direction of the villa.

"Mr. Xiang, the boss invites you in!"

A few minutes later, Bai Bing arrived at the door and invited Xiang Huaqiang.

"good!"

Xiang Huaqiang nodded, stubbed out his cigarette, and followed Bai Bing into the villa.

"Hello, Mr. Lin!"

Upon entering the villa and seeing Lin Bufan, Xiang Huaqiang revealed an ugly smile.

It wasn't because Xiang Huaqiang had any objections, but because he looked particularly ugly when he smiled.

"Mr. Xiang, please!"

As the saying goes, one shouldn't hit a smiling person. Lin Bufan couldn't just drive the other person away because their smile was unpleasant.

"Mr. Xiang..."

After the two sat down, Bai Bing brought over the tea that had already been brewed and placed it in front of them.

"Mr. Lin, please wait a moment!"

Lin Bufan was about to speak when Xiang Huaqiang interrupted him.

Immediately afterwards, Xiang Huaqiang reached into his pocket and took out a brown paper envelope, placing it on the table.

"This is?"

Lin Bufan glanced at the envelope on the table and looked at Xiang Huaqiang with a puzzled expression.

Lin Bufan truly didn't understand Xiang Huaqiang's intentions or his actions.

"Mr. Lin, just open the envelope and you'll know."

Xiang Huaqiang looked at Lin Bufan with a smile on his face.

For a fleeting moment, Lin Bufan really wanted to tell Xiang Huaqiang: "Can you please stop laughing?"

Filled with curiosity, Lin Bufan picked up the envelope on the table, opened it, and poured the contents onto the table. Instantly, more than a dozen photos appeared in front of him.

"This photo..."

Lin Bufan picked up one of the photos at random.

The photo clearly shows Du Gou with a bruised and swollen face, and in the corner of the photo, you can even see that there are other people besides Du Gou.

Lin Bufan examined them carefully and found that besides Du Gou, there was also Huang Gou.

"Mr. Xiang, you're so kind!"

Lin Bufan slowly put down the photo and looked at the other person.

At this moment, he finally understood the purpose of Xiang Huaqiang's sudden visit.

"Mr. Lin, I really enjoy making friends. I wonder if I could become friends with you, Mr. Lin?" Xiang Huaqiang looked at Lin Bufan with a very serious expression: "Hong Kong is not just about Emperor Entertainment Group."

"Let's forget about making friends, Mr. Xiang. Let's be frank and speak our minds."

After a moment's thought, Lin Bufan looked at the other party and said seriously, "Mr. Xiang, do you know why I want to cooperate with Emperor Entertainment?"

"Because many subjects are not suitable for filming in mainland China, some scripts need to be filmed in Hong Kong."

Lin Bufan asked and answered himself, looking at Xiang Huaqiang, "Mr. Xiang, do you believe that as long as I announce to the public that I need funding to make a movie, countless people will come waving money at me?"

"I believe you!"

Xiang Huaqiang nodded.

The film "Love is Not Blind" laid the foundation for Lin Bufan's commercial directing career, and the addition of Hollywood's Best Director award further enhanced his reputation.

Even if Lin Bufan's subsequent films flopped one after another, as long as he asked, someone would definitely invest, so he was never short of investment.

"Mr. Xiang, I think you know your identity better than anyone else. As far as I'm concerned, I don't want to get involved with any gangs." Lin Bufan looked at Xiang Huaqiang with a serious expression.

Upon hearing this, Xiang Huaqiang felt a pang of disappointment.

He had received news of Lin Bufan's arrival in Hong Kong early on, but he had no opportunity to contact him, and Emperor Entertainment Group was not giving him a chance either.

Finally, he received news that someone had offended Lin Bufan at the banquet prepared for him by the Emperor.

Xiang Huaqiang realized that his opportunity had come, so he sent his men to beat up Du Gou and his group. Du Gou, in particular, was beaten so badly that he was unrecognizable to anyone who didn't know him.

"Excuse me, Mr. Lin, I'm sorry to bother you!"

Xiang Huaqiang took a deep breath and looked at Lin Bufan as he stood up.

Having said all that, he knew he should back down.
