The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"How's it going? Did you see them?"

When Ning Hao returned home, Xing Aina looked at him with a nervous expression.

Over the years, Ning Hao has made several films and won some minor awards, but they are ultimately insignificant and he has not gained much fame in the industry.

He used to specialize in art-house films, but now he wants to break through and make a change.

He has been polishing the script for the movie "Crazy Diamond" for several years, but the most important thing for him to make the movie is to have someone willing to invest in it.

"I didn't see anyone."

Ning Hao glanced at his wife and shook his head, his expression somewhat forlorn.

Both of them graduated from the Beijing Film Academy, but Lin Bufan has already started his own company and won the Oscar for Best Director. But what about him? He has wasted so many years and doesn't even have a few million in start-up capital to make a movie.

"It's okay, if it really doesn't work out, we can go and participate in Andy Lau's Asia New Star Director competition..." Xing Aina encouraged her husband.

Over the years, Ning Hao has been able to persevere largely thanks to Xing Aina's support and understanding.

"kindness!"

Ning Hao nodded.

He had already made up his mind that if Kyoto Entertainment didn't reply to him today, he would set off for Hong Kong to participate in the Asian New Stars competition.

"I'll go cook for you..."

As Xing Aina was speaking, she prepared to get up, just then a phone rang.

"Feed?"

Ning Hao darted to the landline and picked up the phone.

"Is that director Ning Hao?"

A sweet female voice came from the phone.

"It's me. And who are you?"

Ning Hao answered cautiously.

"Hello, Director Ning Hao..."

Over the phone, Bai Bing briefly introduced herself: "My boss asked me to ask if you have time to come to the company now?"

"I'll head over when I have time."

After hanging up the phone, Ning Hao looked excitedly at Xing Aina beside him, kissed her, grabbed his coat, and ran off.

……

Ning Hao is a talented person, and Lin Bufan would naturally not miss out on him.

"Hello, Assistant Bai!"

Less than half an hour later, Ning Hao appeared at the entrance of Kyoto Entertainment Company.

"Director Ning Hao, please. The boss has been waiting for a long time."

Bai Bing spoke, then gestured slightly before walking ahead and leading him to the door of Lin Bufan's office.

"Wait a mininute!"

"OK!"

Bai Bing knocked on the door and went in. A few seconds later, he came out and looked at Ning Hao: "Director Ning Hao, please. The boss is waiting for you inside."

"Thank you for your help, Assistant Bai!"

Ning Hao took a deep breath, first thanked Bai Bing, and then pushed open the door and went inside.

"Director Ning, please have a seat!"

Before entering, Ning Hao had mentally prepared himself. In his view, Lin Bufan had risen to a high position at such a young age, owning a company and being an Oscar-winning director. He had even managed to gain the upper hand in his recent conflict with Huayi Brothers.

The other party will definitely be arrogant and difficult to approach.

However, when he actually got to know Lin Bufan, he discovered that the other man was really down-to-earth.

"Mr. Lin..."

"Director Ning, we're all in the same industry, and you're my senior, so just call me Lin Bufan."

Lin Bufan interrupted Ning Hao with a smile.

If you want to attract talented people, you must treat them with respect and courtesy.

"Then I'll call you Director Lin!"

Ning Hao definitely couldn't address the other party by their full name. The other party said that, but he couldn't do it; it would be too impolite.

"Director Lin, take a look, this is a script I've been polishing for several years..."

Both of them were graduates of the Beijing Film Academy. After chatting for a while, Ning Hao explained his purpose and then handed the script to Lin Bufan.

Crazy Diamond

Lin Bufan took the script and glanced at it. The name was really tacky, just like the person Ning Hao was looking for—it sounded like a very common person.

After quickly glancing through the script, Lin Bufan pondered for a moment.

The current script is somewhat different from the "Crazy Stone" he remembered.

"Director Ning, how much is the expected budget for your film?"

Lin Bufan closed the script, looked at Ning Hao, and asked with a serious expression.

"Not much, just 200 million will be enough."

When the topic of investment came up, Ning Hao's eyes lit up instantly.

Before coming, he had already made a budget. If he was frugal, two million would be no problem at all.

After he finished speaking, Ning Hao saw Lin Bufan shake his head, and he was instantly disappointed.

"Investing is fine, but 200 million is too little..."

"Director Lin, I...what?"

Ning Hao subconsciously wanted to negotiate, and he even wanted to reduce the cost by another 300,000 to 500,000 yuan, though it would slightly affect the film's pacing.

There's no way around it; you always have to pay a price to make a movie.

However, as soon as he opened his mouth, he realized something was wrong. Lin Bufan wasn't refusing to invest; he was just complaining that the budget was too small.

"I'll give you five million."

Lin Bufan looked at Ning Hao and smiled.

"real?"

Ning Hao instantly became excited.

"However, don't get too excited yet, I have conditions." Lin Bufan looked at Ning Hao, then suddenly changed the subject.

"What conditions? As long as I can do it, I will absolutely not refuse."

No one can say no to their sugar daddy, including Ning Hao.

"First of all, your name is too common. I'll change it to 'Crazy Stone,' what do you think?"

Before watching a movie, no one knows whether it's good or bad, so people can only guess based on the title.

The title "Crazy Diamond" alone doesn't inspire any desire to watch the movie.

"Crazy Stone..."

Ning Hao kept muttering the name to himself, his eyes growing brighter with each word. Just as Lin Bufan had said, it was far superior to his own "Crazy Diamond"—it was more than just a first-tier title.

"no problem!"

Ning Hao readily agreed.

"Secondly, there are some plot points that need to be changed..."

As Lin Bufan spoke, he pointed out several points that were seriously inconsistent with the film. Ning Hao, who was standing next to him, nodded repeatedly and felt a sense of admiration. No wonder he was an Oscar-winning director; he was indeed exceptionally talented.

Lin Bufan and Ning Hao discussed the script for "Crazy Stone" for nearly an hour.

The final decision was that Kyoto Entertainment would invest in this film.

Aside from some plot changes, Lin Bufan also helped Huang Bo get the role of "Hei Pi" that originally belonged to him. Later, Huang Bo won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Chinese Film Media Awards for his role in the movie "Crazy Stone".

In addition to these, Lin Bufan also put Chen Zihan in the crew, but not as an actress, but as the producer of the movie "Crazy Stone".

The movie "Crazy Stone" had a relatively small budget, only five million yuan, which was a good opportunity for Chen Zihan to practice her acting skills.
