I enlisted four times! My former unit blacklisted me.

After Chen Zhiyuan had Liu Yang settle the two new recruits in, he led a few people directly to the office.

As soon as he entered the office, Wu Hanfeng casually opened the drawer inside Chen Zhiyuan's desk.

Sure enough, there was a pack of cigarettes and a lighter inside.

"Wow! It really hasn't changed at all."

Wu Hanfeng took out cigarettes, casually pulled out a few, and handed them to them, "Come on, have a smoke, don't be shy!"

Chen Zhiyuan stared blankly at the cigarette Wu Hanfeng offered him, and instantly flew into a rage:

"These are my cigarettes! You take my cigarettes and give them to me, and you're telling me I'm not polite?"

"Could you be any more shameless?"

"Hey! What 'yours' and 'mine'? In the army, it all belongs to everyone!"

After saying that, Wu Hanfeng ignored him, put the cigarette in his mouth, and lit it.

Then, with a slip of his hand, the cigarette and lighter smoothly slipped into his pocket.

Chen Zhiyuan immediately lunged at him, shouting, "You can take the cigarette, but give me back my lighter!"

Wu Hanfeng was speechless. "Old Chen, it's been half a year since we last met. Why are you still so stingy? A lighter is only worth a few dollars. I'll buy you dozens more on Pinduoduo later."

Chen Zhiyuan retorted angrily, "I've heard that for seven years. In those seven years, you've taken at least a hundred lighters from me! When have you ever paid them back?"

Wu Hanfeng pretended to be deaf and dumb, sat directly in Chen Zhiyuan's chair, crossed his legs on the table, and while exhaling smoke, changed the subject:

"Hurry up and make the arrangements."

Which class should I go to?

"I can't wait to start my recruit life!"

The three people: "..."

Can't wait, my ass!

Don't act like this is your first time enlisting, okay?

Zhou Haibo couldn't stand it anymore and yelled at him:

"Hey, you're a seasoned veteran with four prior convictions, can't you at least have some self-awareness?"

"You're a new recruit now, and recruits aren't allowed to smoke, don't you know that?"

Wu Hanfeng chuckled, "I didn't smoke in the jail cell."

"Not even in the office!"

"Should I smoke in the corridor or outside the barracks?"

Everyone: "..."

Chen Zhiyuan waved his hand weakly and said, "Forget it, let it go. If we keep going on like this, I'm afraid my blood pressure will rise again."

Liu Yang crossed his arms and stared at Wu Hanfeng. "Old soldier, I really don't understand why you keep enlisting."

"Is it truly because you can't leave the military, or is there some other reason?"

Zhou Haibo said, "Exactly! Damn it! If you could become a sergeant and stay in the army as a volunteer like us, that would be fine!"

"But you, of all people, keep switching between being a conscript! What's the point?"

"Does it feel good to be a veteran and become a new recruit?"

"Go take a look! Seven years have passed, how many pigs has the mess hall gone through? And you're still serving your mandatory military service!"

Wu Hanfeng chuckled: "Haibo, you're making me blush with your praise."

Zhou Haibo roared, "I wasn't praising you!"

Liu Yang sighed helplessly, "For others, enlisting is fulfilling a dream; for you, it's like going back to your mother's home."

"And it was the kind of marriage where you were married for two years, divorced, got back together, and divorced again. If you didn't know better, you'd think you were just scamming people out of dowry money!"

Wu Hanfeng's eyes lit up. "Little Liu, your talent has really grown lately! That metaphor is so apt, I love it!"

Liu Yang sighed, "Old soldier, I'm really not praising you."

Wu Hanfeng nodded and said, "I know, but I'll take it as a compliment."

Liu Yang: "..."
