"Politicians from other factions are trying to get in touch with Her Highness Romanova. They are willing to lower import and export restrictions and have promised her many benefits."

In the office, the secretary looked rather grim. He found the politicians' behavior unacceptable. As high-ranking officials representing the Japanese government, they were now bowing and scraping for a little money, their bodies almost prostrate on the ground as if they were about to kiss the girl's feet.

The only good news is that the Russian princess keeps a cold face and distance herself from everyone, even though the conditions offered by politicians are so tempting that any entrepreneur would be tempted, it cannot make her relax her expression in the slightest.

The secretary was still a little worried. Those politicians were still lowering the restrictions, and it was hard to guarantee how things would develop if it continued. Nobody knew what the girl was thinking.

"Don't worry, they won't gain anything."

Inoue Hiroshi glanced at the file in his hand, then casually stuffed it into the paper shredder next to him, watching the papers turn into granules as the blades spun.

"Did you gain anything from investigating the person I asked you to?"

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Inoue!"

The secretary bowed deeply. "The people we sent out have reported back that they found nothing unusual..."

The secretary hesitated for a few seconds. "The other party's apparent identity seems to be just a Kabuki actor. He has rented the Kabuki theater and is performing Kabuki one after another. It is said that these are all improvised plays, so he wants to get the most authentic feedback from the audience."

"Actually, my main job is as a male host. Kabuki is just a hobby of mine. I never expected to be loved by so many people, so I decided to hone my skills."

Someone knocked softly on the door.

The secretary looked towards the door in surprise. A handsome boy squeezed half of his body through the crack in the door. He was wearing a white shirt and a black suit, with a gentle expression on his face. He was also carrying an exquisite cedar box, which looked like a gift.

"Excuse me for bothering you, may I come in?"

The boy, somewhat embarrassed, nodded politely to the secretary.

The secretary felt a chill run down his spine. He didn't know when the boy had started standing at the door, nor how much the boy had overheard. He clearly remembered locking the door before coming in!

"Sorry, visits are not allowed here. Please leave!"

The secretary strode over, intending to kick the boy out.

"Kazama Ruri?"

Inoue Hiroshi stopped his secretary's movements and looked up to meet Kazama Ruri's eyes.

"It is I."

Kazama Ruri bowed deeply to Inoue Hirofumi, "I never expected Mr. Inoue to recognize me. It's truly an honor!"

A huge sense of horror welled up in the secretary's heart. He looked at the boy in disbelief. This was the young man that Inoue Hiroshi had asked him to investigate, but now the person in question had come to their door himself, standing openly in front of them as if he were just passing by and had come in for a visit.

"You can go out now."

Inoue Hiroshi looked Kazama Ruri up and down. "I think Kazama Ruri probably has something she wants to say to me alone."

"Mr. Inoue..."

The secretary was taken aback. Although the people he sent out to investigate had only been able to prove after several days that Kazama Ruri was just an ordinary person, this was a critical time, and he didn't believe that a male escort would suddenly have the idea to visit a politician!

But in the end, at Inoue Hiroshi's prompting look, he reluctantly left the office, closed the door, and completely separated the two different worlds.

"This should be our first meeting, Mr. Inoue."

Kazama Ruri stepped forward, placed the box on the table with both hands, pulled up a chair and sat down in front of Inoue Hiroshi, smiling at him.

Inoue Hiroshi didn't say anything. He glanced at the exquisite box and then looked away, ignoring Kazama Ruri, and opened a new file folder on his own.

The only sound in the office was the rustling of papers; the atmosphere was extremely eerie.

Kazama Ruri's smile was somewhat stiff. He had been watching Inoue Hiroshi unfold five files, read them, stuff them into the shredder, and then unfold the next one.

The person he had been investigating for so long was sitting right across from him, yet he remained completely indifferent. Occasionally, he would look up at the clock on the wall. The once-famous Kazama Ruri, a master of Shinjuku Ward, had now become someone who was less than air.

"Mr. Inoue is quite composed. As far as I know, your political enemies have successfully made contact with your backers and are now trying to figure out how to bring you down."

Kazama Ruri said calmly, "But you seem completely unconcerned now. Is it because you have a new sponsor, or have you already given up?"

"Did you come to me just to say this?"

Inoue Hiroshi finally looked away from the files and looked up to meet Kazama Ruri's gaze:

"Then you can leave now. Remember to call my secretary when you leave; I still have some work to tell him."

Kazama Ruri's smile shattered; she was somewhat unable to comprehend Inoue Hiroshi's thought process, as the other party's performance had exceeded her expectations.

His expression gradually turned cold, and he spoke again after a few minutes:

"Why are you investigating me? What do you want from me?"

"Will you give me whatever I want?"

Inoue Hiroshi became interested and put down the file in his hand.

"You've been very active abroad lately; you've been investigating the Gattuso family."

Kazama Ruri said quietly, "You may not know the meaning of the surname Gattuso. If you continue to investigate so recklessly, you may encounter some misfortune when you go out tomorrow."

"So you're just here to warn me not to investigate things I shouldn't? Are you from the Gattuso family?"

Inoue Hiroshi said, "I don't know the meaning of the name Kazama Ruri either, but I also investigated you, and now you are sitting in front of me calmly talking to me."

"Perhaps I'm just here to kill you?"

Ruri Kazama chuckled. "I enjoy Kabuki performances, so it's understandable that I wanted to gain some inspiration from you before killing you, isn't it?"

"This isn't normal, this is mental illness."

Hiroshi Inoue said in a serious tone, "You should probably see a psychiatrist first. I recently submitted an application, and the subsidy policy for disabled patients should be released in a few weeks, so you don't have to worry about not being able to live if you lose your job."

Kazama Ruri's eyebrows twitched wildly as she stared intently at Inoue Hiroshi, who was also staring back at her.

"Aren't you even a little bit afraid of dying?"

"Of course I'm afraid of death. To be honest, I'm more afraid of death than most people because I finally got this position and there are so many things I haven't done yet, so I won't let myself die so quickly."

Inoue Hiroshi said frankly, "I'm simply not afraid of you."

Kazama Ruri remained silent for a long time before suddenly bursting into action. A dagger engraved with intricate patterns slid out of her sleeve and landed in her hand.

He gripped the hilt of the knife and thrust it fiercely at Inoue Hiroshi.

Inoue Hiroshi seemed frozen in terror, the silver light drawing a breathtaking curve in the air as the blade landed on his throat.
